Review ~ The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared ~ Jonas Jonasson

What a fun, quirky story! The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared is reminiscent of Forest Gump and Allan Karlsson is every bit as endearing and loveable. Steven Crossley, the narrator, who was new to me, made the story that much more entertaining. He was able to convey the wit of Allen’s antics perfectly. Woohoo! This time I did indeed read a series in a month! And I’m patting myself on the back considering I had TWO trips to the Pacific Northwest during the month of November. If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread was even more satisfying than its predecessor. Of course, it could have been the British accent. Or the sexy banter. Or all the baking! Oh golly was Pucked a lot of fun! I loved Violet! Her klutziness, her lack of filter…the things that came out of her mouth! LOL I adored Alex, too. His loyalty, his tenacity, his loving Violet for exactly who she is. I have a feeling I might fly through this series! Highlights: Characters Not only was I delighted with Violet and Alex but HHunting populated their story with an outstanding secondary cast. From Alex’s teammates to his parents and Vi’s step-brother, parents, and best friend – they all combined to better convey the character of Violet and Alex. I had to wait awhile on Plan B and I can tell you this: it was every bit worth the wait! JAston writes rom-com expertly. She kept me giggle-snorting while flipping through the pages as quickly as I could! We got a little taste of Daisy in all her crazy-fun glory in Sure Thing, the first book in the Best Laid Plans series. She was wild enough to be pulling a twin switcheroo at her job! I already loved her “live life to its fullest” approach to live so I was eager to get her story. To say I was anxious for Pierced, Pierce and Myrtle’s story, would be an understatement. I wanted to know more about them both but mostly I wanted to watch and laugh as Pierce tried to dig himself out of the mess he’d created with Myrtle. Good Girl was delightful! Aston did well – she even made me love her virgin heroine (which is truly a feat, I usually don’t enjoy virgin heroines in my romances).
