I’ve always been a good girl.
I work hard, I follow the rules, and I always achieve my goals.
But sometimes good girls want things that aren’t good for them.
Or someone who isn’t good for them.
Like their new boss.
And sometimes they do very bad things to get his attention.
Like sell their virginity in an auction.
Who knew he’d be so very, very mad?
Maybe this was not my best laid plan…
Good Girl was delightful! Aston did well – she even made me love her virgin heroine (which is truly a feat, I usually don’t enjoy virgin heroines in my romances). And there was so much humor, and all the feels.
Where do I even start with Good Girl? It was so much fun! But it was also very, very hot. Lydia is not your typical romance heroine, that’s for sure. She’s a little naïve. A lot fun. Very organized. A great friend. And she works hard. She really want’s to get rid of her pesky virginity though. In fact, that’s been the case for quite a while. She just hasn’t really felt like ripping her clothes off for anyone so far. Until she meets Rhys. Then, she wants.
And Rhys is quite remote. He’s definitely not looking for a good girl. He has no time to give to a girlfriend, and he’s quite happy with hooking up for a night, with girls who will leave. At least he thinks he is. Until he meets Lydia. And he can’t stop thinking about her.
Aston mixes humor and hotness very well, and she outdid herself with Good Girl. I laughed out loud. I squirmed. I laughed some more. And even if Lydia is fairly young, I found her to be very relatable on many levels. Her awkwardness made her so real, because so often, romance heroines are very confident and sure of themselves. Lydia is confident in some situations, but with a guy, she’s definitely not.
If you’re looking for a story that is both hot and fun, Good Girl is a good bet for you! It is well written, fast paced, and is filled with characters that you will want to stay with for longer than the duration of the book.
Our apartment is great. We have a gym and a pool and a dog park and bocce ball courts. I don’t have a dog and I don’t know anyone who plays bocce ball, or even what it is really, but it’s nice to have.
I must be the sluttiest non-slut in the country. I’m a wannabe slut, which is just sorta sad, isn’t it?
I’ve kissed guys before and none of them made me feel like this. They made me feel, if I’m being honest, apathetic. Hence why I’m still a virgin. Because why bother? If a guy makes you feel like you could take it or leave it, just why bother? Yes this guy makes me feel like I could be actively promiscuous. Yup. When I see him I’m pretty sure I’ve got untapped slut potential.
Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
Still waiting for this to go live! It sounds so much fun.
It went live today, Astrid! Enjoy 🙂

did she send an invite of her auction instead of just offering it to him? is that why he’s mad?
She tried offering herself to him first… when that didn’t work, she went the more unconventional way 😉

serves him right then, he didn’t want it when it was before him. men

How did I not know about this? I’ve loved all her books! I need to run to Amazon. Thanks!
If you like Aston’s sense of humor, I’m pretty sure you’re going to love Good Girl as well, Lorna!
I would have never thought of reading this without your review Lexxie. It’s totally not my kind of book but it sounds fun!
Karen @ For What It’s Worth
It’s so much fun, Karen! And it’s a fairly quick read, too, so you have nothing to lose, right? 😉
Oooohh I love awkward heroines. They’re kind of my favorite!
Awkward heroines are so relatable to me 😀
Oh I am so glad you liked this! I am really excited about it and its next on my TBR!
I hope you’ll love it as much as I did, Samantha!
sometimes good girls want things that aren’t good for them…..
Hahaha… so true, and makes for a great story! lol.
Exactly! I just loved everything about this story, Nina!
I’m not always a fan of the virgin trope, but I am when it’s done like this. I love humor and when the story is actually fun.
I loathe the virgin trope more often than not – but this virgin was awesome 😀
“I’m a slut wannabe.” <– bwahahahaha Gosh did I love this story as well! Seriously, JAston does awkward so well!! I laughed so hard and I just adored Lydia and Rhys. It seems like it's been so long since we got a book from Aston. This was worth the wait. 😉 Great review, darling!
