Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #275
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you JA Huss!
I already read Sweet Thing, and I loved it!
I already read Arranged to, and it was a heart-wrenching masterpiece 🙂
The Sunday Post # – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
Our week in Spain was really nice! I’m still in Spain as I write this, but we’re leaving in a couple of hours to get back home so we’ll be ready for the new week. The weather was rather sketchy here, cool and overcast, but we finally got some sun yesterday, and I got a sunburn on my forehead 😀 It’s been a very nice and relaxing week, which has done wonders for all of us!

the island in that picture looks like dr moreau’s
Spooky and a bit creepy, then 😉
I got an email announcing Arranged’s release or something like that and the cover is so stunning! So good to know that the story is also wonderful! Wow, that picture! Even if it’s rainy, still look amazing. And Aww Freddy! So adorable!
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
I loved Arranged, Gen! I have read some reviews, though, and people either loved it or absolutely hated it…
It was the first time there we had such gloomy weather, so we didn’t mind, and we got some nice, spooky pictures 😀
This past week? Just on vacation in Italy…
Nice, Davida! Where in Italy did you go? I saw that the North of Italy had pretty gloomy weather, too.
Mostly Umbria and Tuscany. We did have some rain, but mostly it was nice. Saw a whole lot of places I’d never been.
I love that region! I’ve been to Tuscany several times – both on the coast and a little more inlands 🙂 I’m glad you got to see place you’d never been to before!
Glad you had a nice time in Spain! Sounds like a dream! Lol.
Nice new reads too! Totally new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them!!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
It kind of was, Jessica. It was so nice to just relax, hang out with family, eat good food, and read books 😀
I bet that sunburn looks pretty interesting!(lol) I’ve been sunburned once on my arms and legs, and it sure was no fun, so I hope you feel better soon! Little does Freddy know that his spot will be unavailable very soon.(lol) I’m not a beachy person, but looking at the sand makes me want to walk in it just a little in the evening when it’s cool. Hope your weekend is amazing! Hugs…RO
LOL, it’s a bit better now, Ro, but it was really pink this morning 😀
I love the beach – and there, in the north of Spain, it doesn’t really get too hot, there’s always a breeze. Hugs
I’m sure that even with the overcast weather you all had a lovely time away. Yay for that last sunny day. Nice that you already took care of your book haul books for the week. I need to look up the second one- new to me author.
The dogs enjoyed their time, too, I see.
Safe travels, Lexxie!
We sure did, Sophia. It was nice to have all my kids with us – at least for part of the trip, as the oldest ones don’t always come with us anymore 🙂
Thanks! We are home safe now 😀
So glad you had a nice, relaxing time in Spain! Even with sketchy weather the break would be so worth it.
This is true – the weather didn’t really impact how good it was to get away and relax at all 🙂
Ha Freddy in the wind! I bet they just love it there on the beach and whatnot. 🙂 Glad you had a good week, although sorry to hear the weather was iffy. Hope you have a great weekend Lexxie!!
They both love the beach, making holes in the sand, swimming, and going a little crazy 🙂
Too bad the weather wasn’t what you had hoped for, but it is always nice to get away. Safe travels home. Have a wonderful weekend Lexxie.
Even with the weather like that, it was really nice! And we are safe back home now 🙂 Have a great weekend yourself, Carla 🙂
Thanks Lexxie.
The picture of Freddy shows how ridiculously photogenic he is. Great picture
Thank you 🙂
Your getaway to Spain sounds awesome. Too cute about Freddie hiding on the empty shelf.
Enjoy your books and your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
It really was – it was needed, too. We all had a nice, peaceful, relaxing getaway 🙂

I’m so glad you had a good week and got a relaxing break. It’s a flurry now here with just 2 weeks of school left for my daughter. I have so many things I always want to do, too. I love Freddy on the shelf. Have a wonderful week.
Here is my Sunday Post
That’s not much time!
I have a month left of both school and teaching – then exams for the first two weeks of June. It’s going to be a whirlwind for sure.
Spain sounds like a dream come true! Love your puppies in action! So cute! Have a great week Lexxie!!!
It was so nice, Lindy. We all needed the break 🙂 Have a great week yourself!
So glad you had a wonderful time in Spain. The pups sure look happy. And Freddy is a great book end. LOL
They were indeed happy 🙂 And Freddy is actually the perfect size for a book end 😉
I’m glad you had a nice week in Spain Lexxie. Sounds like a perfect week to get a little rest.
I hope you got home save. Say hi to those beautiful Swiss mountains for me! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!
It sure was, Maureen 🙂 And yes, we did get back home safe.
Can you believe they’re getting snow again in the mountains this weekend and next week?

Awww, him in the bookshelves IS super adorable 🙂 I’m finally back from hiatus! Too bad about your sunburn – we had like real hot weather for the past few days. Well, I say hot, I mean like 24, but last week I was wearing a coat and gloves, so it’s a bit of a jump xD
I know, right? He was just too cute for me not to take a picture 🙂
It was actually rather cool in Spain, we only had one day with sun, but since it didn’t feel warm, I didn’t put on any sunscreen… it’s already better – we weren’t out that long.
And here in Geneva, it’s really cold again. I’m ready for summer now.
I’ve recently had some time off work because of the Easter hols but it was a stay at home holiday. Got lots of reading and blogging done. I love getting away though, and hope to jump on a plane and go somewhere warmer during the summer holidays finance permitting *fingerscrossed*.
I can’t believe you still worked on this blog post while on holiday 😉 thanks for sharing the pictures though. x
Stay at home holidays are good, too! Especially if you manage to actually be ‘off’. I hope you’ll be able to jump on a plane and go somewhere warmer during the summer holidays, too 🙂
I am really glad you have had a good break in Spain. Sometimes it doesn’t matter too much about the weather – but just is great to get away… I hope that the coming term isn’t quite so gruelling, Lexxie.
That’s true – the weather wasn’t that important – the company and the place were 🙂
Ah… it generally comes down to the company every time:)

Glad you had a good time in Spain. Sorry the weather wasn’t great. But sounds relaxing anyway. Have a great week.
Melanie @ Hot Listens & Books of My Heart
It was so relaxing, it was awesome, really 🙂 Thanks, Melanie, you too!
Glad you had a relaxing time! I go back to reality tomorrow as well! And I can’t wait to see your review of Code Name Genesis-it looked really good!
You seem to have a great vacation and your dogs sure seem to have. I hope you are back to your place. I hope you have a great week ahead.
It looks so relaxing there! I hope you guys have a safe travel home. <3
A relaxing holiday sounds wonderful, safe trip home!
Have a great reading week
Glad you enjoyed your trip and had some time to relax!
It was so nice – and necessary, too!
