Safe and Sexy #52
Thinking of my romances and safe sex at the same time started when I wrote my discussion post with the same name a long time ago! Not too long after, the idea of sharing quotes about that ensured that the feature Safe and Sexy was born. It’s where I will share a quote from a story I have read, and where there is a lot of hotness and sexiness, but where they still take the time to be safe! It’s important to me to read books that make me dream, but I also want them to be somewhat realistic. And to me, characters seem realistic when they take care of themselves and their partner(s)! Safe sex is a great way to do so, and when an author includes a couple of lines to share that they are indeed using condoms, I am such a happy reader. And I think it’s sexy when both new and ‘old’ lovers show that they respect each other by getting that condom, and possibly making using it both safe and sexy, hot and fun.
If you want to participate with your very own Safe and Sexy quotes, go right ahead. The more the merrier, and maybe your quote will help me add a new book to my bloated TBR shelf 😉 One can never have enough books, right? Without further ado, here’s my Safe and Sexy quote for this week, it’s from New Orleans Rush by Kelly Siskind, a new to me author who made me swoon with her slow burn 😉
My Safe and Sexy quote:
He hated parting from her for a second, but he left to grab a condom, returning swiftly. He groaned at the sight of his gorgeous woman lying on his bed. The left side of her neck was swollen, her eyes puffy from crying. She was the most beautiful sight he’d ever seen.
His clothes joined hers on the floor, then she sat up and rolled on the condom, fisting him and guiding him to her. Guidance he didn’t need. She was his North Star, a steady light in an ever-changing sky. He pressed in slow as a summer sunrise, letting her heat wrap him, her color blind him. The promise of a new day ahead.
Safe and Sexy Link-up:

never read something like this before, kinda kinky? Though now I wonder what had happened before
Not that kinky, really… but she was thinking about something really sad just before 😉 I guess you’ll have to read it to find out, Ailyn!
I absolutely love this beautiful sentence: She was his North Star, a steady light in an ever-changing sky. ♥
I agree, Stephanie, it’s very poetic 🙂

It really was! It was my first book by the author, but it won’t be the last, that’s for sure!
