Years ago, they were in love. She was an up-and-coming superstar and he was the devilishly handsome security professional hired to keep her safe. They fell hard and fast, no matter how they tried to resist one another. But not everyone around them was happy about their relationship, and a string of lies and deceit destroyed what they once had.
Having just taken the helm of a nationally renowned protective services company, Kynan McGrath is looking to rebrand and revamp his career. The newly crowned Jameson Force Security is moving from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas to the mountainous steel town of Pittsburgh, and the last thing Kynan has time for is to deal with his past.
More than a decade has passed since their split, but even a bruised and battered heart remembers its first love. So when Joslyn Meyers comes to him for help, Kynan reluctantly agrees to keep her safe from a terrifying stalker who keeps threatening her life.
As the danger they face continues to intensify, Kynan realizes he’ll stop at nothing to protect the woman who turned her back on him all those years ago. Because one thing is certain—no matter how hard he tries to convince himself otherwise, Joslyn still has his heart.
Bennett did it again! I loved Code Name Genesis – it has everything I love in a romantic suspense story!
Code Name Genesis really did it for me – it ticket all the boxes and left me breathless. Both because of the extremely hot chemistry between the characters and because of the suspense! Alpha man, check! Second chance at love, check! A crazy stalker ready to whisk away the heroine, check! A fantastic secondary cast, check!
Joslyn and Kynan knew each other when they were much longer, and they had a beautiful love story. Until it all fell apart, and Joslyn left without a backward glance. When she needs help with a stalker, Kynan wants nothing to do with her case at first. Until he actually sees her again. Code Name Genesis is fast paced, well written, and both hot and tender.
If you are looking for a story that brings you all the feels, and all the action, Code Name Genesis is the book for you! Even with only 152 pages, it was a complete story, and I couldn’t put it down.
The object of my current ire comes down the stairs, and I hate how much I’m attracted to her as she carefully descends by supporting herself with one hand on the banister.
Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
First, I love that that my name is on that gorgeous cover. Second, this sounds amazing! I love suspenseful romance stories, especially if they have second-chance tied into it!
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
LOL I know, right? This story was so well done! I loved everything 🙂
I’m thrilled Bennett gave you all you needed in this kick off to a new series, wifey. I might have to give this a go since I’d be getting in on the ground level of a series from her. You know I love my second chance romance. 😉 Someday I’m going to binge on Bennett though. Seriously.
Love & miss you, darling!!! {{{big hugs}}}
She so did, wifey! I absolutely loved Code Name Genesis! And I’m pretty sure you will, too!
Love & miss you too!
Second Chances! I love those stories! Glad this one gave you all the feels!
It’s one of my favorite tropes! It’s just so fulfilling when people are able to get their stuff together, and that they finally find that happy place 🙂
I enjoy Sawyer Bennett’s stories! I’m glad to hear that this one didn’t disappoint. I love that it gave you all of the feels, hot chemistry between the main characters, suspense, and such an awesome cast of secondary characters as well! Second chance at love stories are the best!
I love Sawyer Bennett 🙂 Her writing keeps getting better, and she is so good at mixing her romance with some suspense 🙂 Also, second chance at love is my favorite trope 😀

Excellent review and it sounds like an excellent book. It’s a favorite genre and I’ve had good luck with enjoying this author too!
It was really good, Anne! And I love Bennett – she brings everything to her stories 😀
I love Bennett’s sports and office romances, and was curious about this one. Is this a second chance romance? Because THAT is my catnip. Glad it was a hit, and the new series sounds promising.
Yes, it is a second chance romance, and that’s my catnip, too 🙂 I love second chances SO much! 🙂
