The Sunday Post #84 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kim over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

So, on Monday morning, I arrived home from a week in Chicago, and I have to say it took me a while to get over my jet-lag! When I got up in the morning – 6:45 my time, it was 11:45 pm in Chicago. And so even if I slept very well, and went to bed early, both Tuesday and Wednesday were a little difficult. It was so nice to come back to hug and kiss my family, though, even if I miss my blogger friends. A lot! Freddy went completely crazy when he saw me, and he has hardly left my side since then – apart from when I had to leave the house to go to work, that is.

I’ve had a great week, though, jet-lag and all. Work has been good, and it’s definitely been very nice to be back home with my husband, the kids and Freddy. The weather is warming up and it’s started to feel a bit like summer, so that’s nice, too.

  1. It’s been warming up here too, and it’s nice. Lots of sun for a change. And jet lag- no fun. Glad you had a great time in Chicago though!

  2. I need to catch up on some of your BEA posts! I’m behind in my blog reading as I always seem to be. I tend to spend Sunday and Monday binge-reading blog posts!

I’m sure everyone was happy to have you home… especially Freddy.

  3. It must have been hard to leave little Freddy behind! As usual he looks gorgeous! Jet lag is not fun. I did a training course in Dallas for 2 weeks and went straight to work for a week in London with no day off and I felt terrible for the full week. Not fun!

  4. Sorry to hear about your jet-lag. But thankfully you still had good week.
Freddy is getting so big!! Still super cute though. LOL!!
My week was busy. Tomorrow I’m going to Milan, I’m getting back on Thursday night. And Saturday we’re going on our Holiday to Switzerland. Exciting weeks coming up but very busy. 😀
    Happy Reading 😉

    • WOW, where in Switzerland are you going on holiday? If you come close to Geneva, please let me know, I’d love to have coffee (or tea or other drink) with you 🙂
I hope Milan will be a good trip, and that you’ll still have plenty of time to get ready for your holiday.

  5. Freddy is super cute!!! Sorry about the jet lag though! Glad you liked Sugar Daddy-I had to give up on it. It was too dark for me!

  6. OMG – it totally looks like Freddy hasn’t left your side for a minute! Sooo cute 🙂

I’ll have to check out your review of Tell the Wind… I think I DNF’d it but I forget why I did o.O

Ahhh, so good to be home…..

    • This is true, Kristin! He even sleeps on my legs at night 😀
I have to see what you thought of Tell the Wind, too… I know people either loved or hated it. And I frankly didn’t enjoy her gothic novels much, but this one worked for me.
You’re right, it IS good to be home, even if I really, really miss my peeps!!

  7. Jet-lag is rough, I think we had BEA Burnout because this weekend my husband and I could bearly keep our eyes open. Woke up today finally feeling refreshed from all that BEA excitement!. Freddy is getting bigger, since the last pictures you took! He really is so cute and he loves his mommy. Dexter has been like glue too they just really missed us.

Have a great week, Lexxie! I still miss your face! *hugs*

    • Yeah, I am pretty sure my jet-lag was topped by both BEA Burnout and fave-blogger-abadonment issues, Michelle 😉
Freddy definitely is getting bigger, and he’s still just as sweet and cuddly.
I miss your face, too! Pretty sure that’s only going to get worse with time, too :O *hugs*

  8. Rescue Remedy is really good for jetlag, but I’m also guessing that having such a fabulous greeting on your arrival has also helped a bit. You have clearly had a very productive and busy week notwithstanding…

  9. Freddy is growing up so fast. I love his little tuffs of fur. He’s super adorable!!!! I don’t envy the jet lag one bit but I know you had an amazing week so that makes up for it. I hope your week is restful and things start to get back to normal. Have a great week!!!

  10. Jetlag sounds nasty and I can imagine your first days back were a bit difficult because of that. Aww that’s so sweet Freddy stayed by your side when you got back, I am sure he missed you.

I actually have read two of the three elsewhere posts you shared this week. I really enjoyed Kristen her post about realistic characters as it’s topic I feel strongly about too.

I hope this week will be a good one for you!

  11. Jet lag kills me every single time. Even the one-hour time difference in daylight saving time throws me for a loop. I’m heading to Japan in August and I’m a little terrified of the jet lag! I want to get there and see and do everything, not sleep. Lol.

    • Yeah, the one hour of daylight savings throws me for a loop, too. I hope you’ll be able to enjoy Japan when you get there! And did you see the advice from sjhigbee a few posts above? Rescue remedy (bach flowers) is supposed to help. I use that for a lot of things, but hadn’t thought of using it to help with jet-lag.

  12. Sounds like you had quite the good time, Lexxie. Funny how we have to rest after a vacation. Though BEA is tiring I hear! Freddy is so cute. I bet he sticks to you like glue now. Might take him a bit to realize you are coming back when you leave the house.

    • An extra week for resting up after a vacation would be perfect 😀 BEA is definitely tiring, but it’s also a lot of fun!
Freddy does stick to me like glue, but that’s OK, he’s cute enough that I don’t mind it one bit 😉

  13. Oh no to the jet lag! The most I’ve ever had to adjust is a three hour time difference when I was younger. That didn’t bother me because I was 18 and young and could take it. Not sure that would be the case now! Glad you’ve had a good week despite it though 😀 Freddy is adorable! My little man would love him. He’s begging us for a baby sister and a puppy. One of these days….
Hope you have a great week Lexie!

  14. Glad you made it home safely, and hope you had a great time in Chicago. Jet lag is the worst. Some people get over it quickly, but for some reason it completely debilitates me. Hopefully you’ll recover swiftly. Have a great week!

  15. Jet lag has got to be tough. I so enjoyed meeting you and miss all my blogger friends as well. I just want to reach into the computer and grab Freddy he is just so adorable! 🙂

  16. Love the new Freddie photos! He is just such a darling. You could make photo frame bookends by taking the last one cutting it in half put his head in one frame and tail in the other then place at either end of your books. Would be cute to make him an extra long book dog. 🙂

  17. I *know* everyone was glad you were back home so even if I’m missing you, I’m happy you’re back with your family and Freddy! 🙂 I’m sorry jetlag was so rough. That stinks. But such is the price you pay to be a world traveler. And I’m thrilled it’s a price you’re willing to pay. 😉 **BIG HUGS**
