The Sunday Post #84 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kim over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
So, on Monday morning, I arrived home from a week in Chicago, and I have to say it took me a while to get over my jet-lag! When I got up in the morning – 6:45 my time, it was 11:45 pm in Chicago. And so even if I slept very well, and went to bed early, both Tuesday and Wednesday were a little difficult. It was so nice to come back to hug and kiss my family, though, even if I miss my blogger friends. A lot! Freddy went completely crazy when he saw me, and he has hardly left my side since then – apart from when I had to leave the house to go to work, that is.
I’ve had a great week, though, jet-lag and all. Work has been good, and it’s definitely been very nice to be back home with my husband, the kids and Freddy. The weather is warming up and it’s started to feel a bit like summer, so that’s nice, too.

What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Oh my, the jet lag would be a killer. But glad you had a warm welcome home.
Enjoy your week!
Yes, jet-lag is definitely hard, but it’s getting better every day 🙂
It’s been warming up here too, and it’s nice. Lots of sun for a change. And jet lag- no fun. Glad you had a great time in Chicago though!
Warmer weather is the best! It’s just so nice to be able to wear a t-shirt and a shorts, and sit outside to read 🙂
Have a wonderful week, Greg!
I need to catch up on some of your BEA posts! I’m behind in my blog reading as I always seem to be. I tend to spend Sunday and Monday binge-reading blog posts!
I’m sure everyone was happy to have you home… especially Freddy.
I haven’t done a day-by-day BEA post yet, but I’m planning on doing that 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
It must have been hard to leave little Freddy behind! As usual he looks gorgeous! Jet lag is not fun. I did a training course in Dallas for 2 weeks and went straight to work for a week in London with no day off and I felt terrible for the full week. Not fun!
It was definitely hard to leave Freddy (and the others) behind, but so nice to have them be happy to see me again 🙂 I’m finally getting over my jet lag now, and I’m very happy about that.
There’s no place like home 🙂
This is true 🙂

Aww, Freddy is so cute!! 🙂
I’m glad you had a good week!
I agree, Irena 🙂
Sorry to hear about your jet-lag. But thankfully you still had good week.
Freddy is getting so big!! Still super cute though. LOL!!
My week was busy. Tomorrow I’m going to Milan, I’m getting back on Thursday night. And Saturday we’re going on our Holiday to Switzerland. Exciting weeks coming up but very busy. 😀
Happy Reading 😉
WOW, where in Switzerland are you going on holiday? If you come close to Geneva, please let me know, I’d love to have coffee (or tea or other drink) with you 🙂
I hope Milan will be a good trip, and that you’ll still have plenty of time to get ready for your holiday.
Aww, Freddy is a cutie. Sounds like you had a good week, despite your jet-lag hope you feel back to normal soon.
He IS a cutie, Shandy 🙂 And I do feel kind of back to normal, just a bit more tired last week – now it’s all good 🙂
Freddy is super cute!!! Sorry about the jet lag though! Glad you liked Sugar Daddy-I had to give up on it. It was too dark for me!
The jet-lag did play havoc on me, but I’m all good now, Samantha. Sugar Daddy was very dark, but I still really enjoyed it – because there was an underlying hope, and a lot of courage, too.
OMG – it totally looks like Freddy hasn’t left your side for a minute! Sooo cute 🙂
I’ll have to check out your review of Tell the Wind… I think I DNF’d it but I forget why I did o.O
Ahhh, so good to be home…..
This is true, Kristin! He even sleeps on my legs at night 😀
I have to see what you thought of Tell the Wind, too… I know people either loved or hated it. And I frankly didn’t enjoy her gothic novels much, but this one worked for me.
You’re right, it IS good to be home, even if I really, really miss my peeps!!

Jet-lag is rough, I think we had BEA Burnout because this weekend my husband and I could bearly keep our eyes open. Woke up today finally feeling refreshed from all that BEA excitement!. Freddy is getting bigger, since the last pictures you took! He really is so cute and he loves his mommy. Dexter has been like glue too they just really missed us.
Have a great week, Lexxie! I still miss your face! *hugs*
Yeah, I am pretty sure my jet-lag was topped by both BEA Burnout and fave-blogger-abadonment issues, Michelle 😉
Freddy definitely is getting bigger, and he’s still just as sweet and cuddly.
I miss your face, too! Pretty sure that’s only going to get worse with time, too :O *hugs*
It would probably take me a month to adjust to that time difference! Freddy is growing! He is such a cutie. It sounds like you had a good week despite the jet lag.
I’m glad it doesn’t take me a full month, Carole!
Freddy is growing, and cute, and cuddly. It was nice to get back home 🙂
Rescue Remedy is really good for jetlag, but I’m also guessing that having such a fabulous greeting on your arrival has also helped a bit. You have clearly had a very productive and busy week notwithstanding…
I can’t believe I didn’t think of Rescue! I use it for lots of other things, but I’ve never used it for jetlag before. I need to make sure I do that next time I travel across time-zones 🙂
Freddy is growing up so fast. I love his little tuffs of fur. He’s super adorable!!!! I don’t envy the jet lag one bit but I know you had an amazing week so that makes up for it. I hope your week is restful and things start to get back to normal. Have a great week!!!
He definitely is growing fast, and his fur is getting longer – he is starting to look a bit more ‘grown’ even if he’s still very puppy-like 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Mandy!
Freddy is so cute. I just want to scoop him up. I’m sure he was very happy to have you home.
He was very happy to have me home 🙂 He’s so cute 😀
Jetlag sounds nasty and I can imagine your first days back were a bit difficult because of that. Aww that’s so sweet Freddy stayed by your side when you got back, I am sure he missed you.
I actually have read two of the three elsewhere posts you shared this week. I really enjoyed Kristen her post about realistic characters as it’s topic I feel strongly about too.
I hope this week will be a good one for you!
Yeah, it was tough to be productive, but now it’s all good, Lola 🙂 Have a great week yourself!
Jet lag kills me every single time. Even the one-hour time difference in daylight saving time throws me for a loop. I’m heading to Japan in August and I’m a little terrified of the jet lag! I want to get there and see and do everything, not sleep. Lol.
Yeah, the one hour of daylight savings throws me for a loop, too. I hope you’ll be able to enjoy Japan when you get there! And did you see the advice from sjhigbee a few posts above? Rescue remedy (bach flowers) is supposed to help. I use that for a lot of things, but hadn’t thought of using it to help with jet-lag.
Sounds like you had quite the good time, Lexxie. Funny how we have to rest after a vacation. Though BEA is tiring I hear! Freddy is so cute. I bet he sticks to you like glue now. Might take him a bit to realize you are coming back when you leave the house.
An extra week for resting up after a vacation would be perfect 😀 BEA is definitely tiring, but it’s also a lot of fun!
Freddy does stick to me like glue, but that’s OK, he’s cute enough that I don’t mind it one bit 😉
Oh no to the jet lag! The most I’ve ever had to adjust is a three hour time difference when I was younger. That didn’t bother me because I was 18 and young and could take it. Not sure that would be the case now! Glad you’ve had a good week despite it though 😀 Freddy is adorable! My little man would love him. He’s begging us for a baby sister and a puppy. One of these days….
Hope you have a great week Lexie!
When I was younger, I could take it as well, Lillian 🙂 Now? Not so much. I’m good now, though. LOL your little man wants BOTH a little sister and a puppy? That means you have your work cut out for you 😀
Glad you made it home safely, and hope you had a great time in Chicago. Jet lag is the worst. Some people get over it quickly, but for some reason it completely debilitates me. Hopefully you’ll recover swiftly. Have a great week!
I had a fantastic time in Chicago! It was great spending real life time with other bloggers 🙂 Have a fantastic week yourself, Tiffany.
Aww .. Freddy missed you! Bet he gave you plenty of puppy kisses. Glad you got home safe!
Yes, he did miss me. And he keeps giving me plenty of puppy kisses, he’s afraid I’ll disappear on him again 😀
Glad you had a nice trip. Jet-lag can be a pain, but getting hugs and kisses from furry baby’s always makes it better. ^_^
Have a great week and happy reading!
BEA was certainly a great experience, Angela 🙂 Getting back home was good, too, and now that I’m over the jet-lag, all is back to normal 🙂

Jet lag has got to be tough. I so enjoyed meeting you and miss all my blogger friends as well. I just want to reach into the computer and grab Freddy he is just so adorable! 🙂
I think I’m over it now, Stormi 🙂 Meeting you and other blogger friends was really the highlight of my trip, too! I miss you bunches 🙂
Freddy is the cutest ever – he keeps following me around now 😀 Were your fur-babies happy to see you again?
Twitter: bmreviewsohmy
Yes, I was attacked with a flurry of kisses and tail wagging for a long time after I got back…lol.
That’s so nice <3
Sorry about your jet lag; I hope you’re feeling better soon. 🙂 Aw, cute Freddy! That’s so adorable he missed you.
-Lauren
I can live with a little jet-lag when it helps me meet my bloggerfriends, Lauren 😀 Freddy did miss me… now, he’s like my 2nd shadow 🙂
Glad you enjoyed your week! Your dog is so cute!!! Here’s my Sunday Post:
http://rabbitearsbookblog.blogspot.com/2016/05/the-sunday-post-meme-45.html
Yes, he is way cute!!
I’ve never been on a plane, but jet lag does sound like it would be confusing for your body :-/
But AWWWWWWW. I think those are the cutest pictures of Freddy yet lol. He missed you! How adorable <3
Yeah, the time difference does wreak havoc on me, but it’s SO, SO worth it, Kristen!
He definitely missed me, and it’s so nice to get all that puppy love 🙂
Love the new Freddie photos! He is just such a darling. You could make photo frame bookends by taking the last one cutting it in half put his head in one frame and tail in the other then place at either end of your books. Would be cute to make him an extra long book dog. 🙂
I could so do that, Xyra! He’s a sausage dog so that would definitely work, too 🙂
I *know* everyone was glad you were back home so even if I’m missing you, I’m happy you’re back with your family and Freddy! 🙂 I’m sorry jetlag was so rough. That stinks. But such is the price you pay to be a world traveler. And I’m thrilled it’s a price you’re willing to pay. 😉 **BIG HUGS**
Of course it’s a price I’m willing to pay, wifey!! And *whispers: I’ve already booked my plane tickets for Atlanta…* you know I’ll do it again 😉
*BIG HUGS!* I miss you so much!
Poor little Freddy missed his human ♥.♥ I know what you mean, as much as you miss the blogger friends, it’s always good to be home 🙂 Welcome back (officially) and hope you’re all rested and good as new now 😉
