STS #134 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #84
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, my BEA haul from my week in Chicago:
Because my bagged haul is really big, I’m linking to my Goodreads BEA 16 shelf if there is a book you’d like to check out from here 🙂 There are several books I’d like to delve right into, for example Gayle Forman’s Leave Me, Brenda Novak’s The Secret She Kept, or Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufmann, or Heartless by Marissa Meyer… There are more that are on my immediate to be read shelf, too, and some truly gorgeous covers on these beauties as well!
Did you get some exciting-looking books this week? Remember to leave me your link so I can check out your Stacking the Shelves and or Bought, Borrowed and Bagged post, too 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! Have a spectacular Saturday.

Your hotel room looked like a library! I am going to check out what books you got because I am sure you have a bunch of different ones than me.
I hope you enjoy your new books! I can’t believe you got them all home lol
LOL Michelle 😀 We did get a bunch of different ones 🙂 And yeah, I needed three suitcases to get them home, so that was all good.
This was really a lazy way for me to do things… I just couldn’t imagine actually doing my normal haul-post for this – it would have been way too long.
Nice stack, and I see Gemina in there (jealousy for that one) 🙂 I hope it’s as good as I think it’s going to be.
Gemina that is one of the books that I almost felt like crying when I got, Greg, that’s how happy I was!
I’m a little envious, but yet that is one huge scary pile LOL I like your prioritizing and forming a plan. It will be fun to see you work through it. Very cool how you color code stacked it.
I am definitely wanting Gemina. I’ll have to check out your shelf b/c I can’t tell what the titles are on the skinny ones in the pictures.
LOL it does look a bit daunting, but at the same time, it’s so beautiful! Trying to color code them was fun! And there was a lot of black and blue in there, especially on the spines.
Great haul! I had thought about trying to snag a copy of Gemina, but I was exhausted when that one was being dropped on the last day. Once I saw the line for it, I changed my mind and just called it a day. 😛
I actually got Gemina the first day, at Bloggercon after the round tables were over. On the last day, that line would probably have brought me to my knees, Samantha 😀
I was in that line!!! OH, I wish you would have seen me and gotten in with me!! UGH…
Oh man!! I heard it took forever… I would have loved to meet Jay and Amie, but on the last day, I was just so tired!!
Your BEA Haul is awesome. I hope you love all of your new BEA books. Gemina sounds really good. I hope you love all of your new books.
Grace @ Books of Love
Thank you, Grace! I hope I’ll enjoy all these books, too 🙂
And I thought my haul was big! ;D WOW! That’s incredible – I hope you enjoy them! <3
Kyra @ Blog of a Bookaholic
My Book Haul!
This haul is all thanks to the amazing authors and publishers who were at BEA, Kyra 🙂
That is super impressive!! Hope you enjoy them!!
I hope so, too, Grace! There are several new-to-me authors in that pile, and I’m excited about maybe finding some new favorites 🙂
Oh wow, what a book haul! That is frightening even to me! Great stuff! That should keep you occupied for a while so I hope you enjoy them!
It’s not frightening me, because I’m so looking forward to them, and their release date is pretty much spread out 🙂
Oh mei, what a fantastic haul you´ve got there! Happy reading and have a nice weekend.
best wishes
Vi @Gone With The Books
I know, I’m so excited about it, Vi 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
So many awesome looking books! Especially Gemima and Heartless of course. 😉
Happy Reading!
I agree.. When I got Gemina in my hands, my heart was beating so hard! I was so excited to get it 🙂
Oh my goodness, Lexxie! That is one of the biggest hauls that I’ve seen. Daunting, but beautiful all the same! Enjoy.
It’s the biggest haul I’ve ever gotten, Chrissi 🙂 And the books look wonderful on my shelves, too!
Wow! What an impressive pile of books! You should have a great time making your way through that pile. I can’t wait to read all of your reviews.
I have already started, and the first book (The Sudden Appearance of Hope) was a winner! My review will be up next week 😀
WHOA!! What a haul!! I think my BEA haul was about one stack of these! LOL! I was trying to be selective and I still picked up a few titles that I probably won’t read. I thought they were something I’d be interested in, but turns out they weren’t what I expected. I’ll do a post-post BEA giveaway soon I suppose! LOL! Happy Reading!!
And next time, we gotta meet!! 😉
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
You know, I thought Friday was going to be a very quiet and ‘small’ day for me – because I knew I was going to stand in line for a while for several authors. However, in just a little over an hour in the morning, some of the publishers (Hachette and HC) who hadn’t given out that many books were kind of pushing books into my (and other people’s) arms. There are several I had never heard of before, but that I now look forward to.
I hope you’ll enjoy your new books, too, Jessica – and YES we gotta meet next time!!
Your haul is FABULOUS Lexxie^^ I want to roll around it it LOL! Obviously I looked up your GR shelf because I wanted to see all the titles – not like I didn’t see them all already on your IG account…what can I say? XD
I’m especially interested in The Reader, GEMINA, Passenger (which I got last year and still haven’t gotten around to -THE SHAME!) and Heartless! Honestly though, I saw tons of new-to-me titles that look excellent too! Can’t wait to read your reviews for these^^ Enjoy your goodies my friend ♥
That GR shelf is going to be a life-saver, Micheline 🙂 GEMINA!!! And Heartless. And many more 🙂 I have already read my first BEA book, and I really enjoyed it 🙂
Holy books, batman! *goes to shelf on GR*
Heh… it’s a VERY nice shelf, Tonyalee!
I have Leave Me on my wish list, so I’m eager to find out what you think of it. Enjoy that massive haul….and I’m gathering that you probably had to ship them home, right?
Thanks for sharing…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I wish I could just read them all first 😀 There are several I hadn’t heard of, but the people in the publisher booth totally sold them to me 🙂 And I was allowed three suitcases for my flight, so no shipping – just some heavy lifting 😀

I need to check out your haul cause you got way more than me so I am curious to see what I missed. 🙂 Enjoy your reads!! 🙂
Stormi
I’m pretty sure some of the books I got are books you might not want to read 🙂
Nice haul at BEA! Gemina is the only book I didn’t get at that I would have like to have grabbed. I will have to look for your review! I hope you enjoy all of your new books!!
I was lucky enough to get Gemina the first day at BloggerCon, Jacque 🙂
So many awesome books! I spot Gemina down in the corner. I can’t wait until it’s finally released! Happy reading!
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Yes! Gemina!!! I guess I shouldn’t have put it in a corner, but it went well with the colors around it 😀
Oh wooow, that’s a heck of a haul. I’m jealous of everyone who gets to go to BEA!
It was really great, Nikki! And I know the feeling, it’s been a long time coming for me, as I live in Europe 🙂
Ooo, yessss, love BEA hauls 😉
LOL, me, too!!

I’m so jealous of everyone’s book hauls. I hope you enjoy them all. I’m sure it is very difficult to decide which book to start first. 🙂
I managed to choose my first book, Melanie, but that doesn’t really help me in choosing the 2nd 😉
That is an amazing haul and so many great books. It would be hard to decide on which one to read first. I saw your pictures on Instagram and BEA looks like so much fun. I hope to go in 2018. Happy reading!!
BEA was awesome, Kathy! I hope you’ll be able to go one year, too, it’s really worth it. I had so much fun with blogger friends, and meeting authors and getting these beautiful books made the experience great.
wow! I’m so jealous! Firstly I would love to go there, secondly I never went to US and third, have you seen this amazing pile? I want them all!!!!!
Maybe one day, you’ll be able to go, too, Melliane? I had already been to the US plenty of times, which is nice, because I didn’t really get to see all that much of Chicago!
And yes, that pile *sighs* I’m so happy with it!
I don’t even know how I’m going to do my BEA haul. I got excited and gave away a bunch of my middle grade books to my neighbor’s kids (so they get spread around the schools). The kids are good like that. That’s a great idea to do a Goodreads shelf, though!!! Oh the (fun) work you did 🙂
Miss ya tons!
I was way too lazy to do a summary and link to each individual book on Goodreads as I usually do, Kristin. But I was able to scan maybe half my books to my shelves (with the GR app on my phone) and then I just added them to my newly made BEA-16 shelf 🙂 I have shelves for everything at Goodreads 😀 It helps me keep track of stuff.
I miss you, too!! How did those days pass by so fast?
Oh Man – I am super jealous! I have to check out BEA. I only wish it wasn’t so close to RT next year because I would really like to go to both! Hope you enjoy your haul!
Bambi’s StS and Recap
I want to do RT next year, Bambi! If you go, I hope we’ll be able to meet up! I’m doing a BEA vs RT post later this week 😉
Oh I will look for that post! I am definitely going to RT next year – its close enough for me to drive which will make things much easier.
That’s awesome!! I have already booked my plane ticket, actually 😀
I bet that was fun getting it all home. 😀
LOL Chirsty! It was OK, actually, as I had the right to bring three suitcases on the plane 😀

I am willing to move to Switzerland for a year just so I can borrow some of your books. Awesome haul, Lexxie!
Oh yes! Tempting Braine with my books – I would love an extended visit from you!!! <3
Enjoy your books!! 😀 Looks like the jetlag is totally worth the trip
The jetlag was totally worth it, Lauren 😀
Nice haul! That should last you until midsummer. 😉
I am checking out your shelf on goodreads, some of those covers look interesting and I want to check them out more closely!
Happy reading!
LOL Xyra 🙂 That’s it, exactly!
My haul will be showcased this weekend since I didn’t have time to put together a post for last weekend. :/ As I perused your stacks I got to thinking…there are a few in your stacks that I also have in mine and I’m feeling some buddy reading coming on! What do you think?!? It was so much fun to be at BEA with you…compare stacks and author chats and blogger meets and greets! It’s hitting me even more now, since my house is empty, how much I miss hanging out with you!! *sniff* I’m grateful that we got to though, wifey! **BIG HUGS**
Oh you know I love buddy reading with you, wifey! And I’m sure we’ll find many here we might want to read at the same time. I miss hanging out with you, too, Brandee! But at least we did get to spend almost a week together in May, and we’ll do it again next year! *BIG HUGS*
