STS #135 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #85

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:

ARCs Recieved - (un)Conventional Bookviews - Bought Borrowed and Bagged Stacking the Shelves

The Bourbon Thief cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsThe Bourbon Thief by Tiffany Reisz – thank you MIRA and Netgalley!

When Cooper McQueen wakes up from a night with a beautiful stranger, it’s to discover he’s been robbed. The only item stolen—a million-dollar bottle of bourbon. The thief, a mysterious woman named Paris, claims the bottle is rightfully hers. After all, the label itself says it’s property of the Maddox family who owned and operated Red Thread Bourbon distillery since the last days of the Civil War until the company went out of business for reasons no one knows… No one except Paris.
In the small hours of a Louisville morning, Paris unspools the lurid tale of Tamara Maddox, heiress to the distillery that became an empire. But the family tree is rooted in tainted soil and has borne rotten fruit. Theirs is a legacy of wealth and power, but also of lies, secrets and sins of omission. The Maddoxes have bourbon in their blood—and blood in their bourbon. Why Paris wants the bottle of Red Thread remains a secret until the truth of her identity is at last revealed, and the century-old vengeance Tamara vowed against her family can finally be completed.

Brandee, I promise I had requested these books before BEA!! I have only sent in reviews on Netgalley since I got back – no new requests!!

Did you get some exciting-looking books this week? Remember to leave me your link so I can check out your Stacking the Shelves and or Bought, Borrowed and Bagged post, too 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! Have a spectacular Saturday.

  1. Haha, funny comment about Net Galley. I try so hard to resist. I gave in and requested one today.

The Bourbon Thief does look worth the guilt of another one for the stack. Haha!

    • LOL Sophia Rose. I got so many books at BEA, which is why Brandee and I promised each other we wouldn’t request any new books for a long time after we got back 🙂
I can’t wait to read The Bourbon Thief – I am very curious about what Reisz is up to with this story 😀

This is another one that I wanted to request, but stopped myself. I’m trying to clear a lot of books, both physical and ebook, off my TBR. Hope you love it!

  3. That’s a new to me one! Yay for the small haul too!! After BEA and any other bookish trip really, it’s always nice to have a week with just 1 book! It’s the perfect amount! 😀

Hope you enjoy your new read!

My STS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

First up will be 738 Days by Stacey Kade. The release date is June 7th and I would like to have my review posted by then. After that I’m reading Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig because he was really nice and hilarious at the Fierce Reads blogger event.

  5. That sounds really interesting! I’m trying not to request on Netgalley as well because I have quite a few ARCs from them that I still need to read.

    Enjoy your new book!

    My Book Haul!

  6. I am addicted to NetGalley lately and wishing so badly that I had been able to go to BEA. I used up most of my time off on maternity leave, however, so there’s always next year 🙂 That book looks kinda interesting. I look forward to seeing what you think of it 🙂 Happy reading!

Also thank you for stopping by, can’t believe that we’ve had so many books in common recently. I hope Shatter Me is good, I’ve yet to pick it up

  8. ROFLMAO!!!!!! Oh my goodness, Lexxie! I’m laughing so hard I’m crying!!! I admit that I was already thinking we were going to have words over you requesting something from Netgalley….I’m so happy to know you kept your promise to me, darling. <3 And I can't wait to see what you think of Reisz's new endeavor.
    **BIG HUGS**

  9. The Bourbon Thief is one we have in common! In fact, I’ve already started it and read the first 15%. It’s a pretty interesting story.
