The Sunday Post # – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kim over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
The weather is back to being all over the place! It snowed in the mountains not far from us this week, we also had one very hot day where it was actually hard to get things done, then we had a thunderstorm, and also a couple of pretty cool days where I was wondering if we should put the heating back on :O
My 4 year blogoversary is next week, and I am hosting two different giveaways for my friends and followers. One is European only, and the other is open internationally. I have another international giveaway on my Facebook page as well. Don’t be shy – just enter!
Next week is my last week of teaching, as my students have exams starting June 6th, and I will have to correct their tests after the 14th. I also have my last MA exam on the 6th of June, it’s an oral exam, and the subject is communication in foreign language teaching. I need to re-read both the articles we’ve discussed in class and my notes so that I’m well organized and ready for that.
Last week, I discovered that there will be a bookish festival in the South of France September 30 – October 2, and several authors I love are going to be there. So of course, I booked tickets for myself and my oldest daughter. The authors I’m the most excited about seeing there are Colleen Hoover and KA Tucker 😀 If you’re in Europe and interested in going, here’s the web-site Festival New Romance.

What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Now that is some frustrating weather. We get that way here as well. Never know whether you should wear shorts or a parka. 🙂
Wishing you well on finishing up your studies and getting the end of the school year wrapped up.
The book festival in France sounds great. I haven’t read any CoHo, but I adore KA Tucker’s books. 🙂
Have a good week, Lexxie!
Yeah, the parka in the morning, then melting in the afternoon 🙂
I look forward to wrapping everything up and go to Spain for the summer, Sophia Rose 🙂 And you definitely should try a CoHo book!
Hey that book festival sounds nice! It’s been hot here all week so at least we’re consistent- feels like summer now. Not complaining though-it’s felt good! Hope your weather stays summery soon too.
Nice post on conventions- I’ve never been to a bookish convention per se although I’ve been to gaming and fantasy type cons. It’s always fun to get away and interact with fandom. Have a nice week Lexxie!
I know, right? I am so happy that there is an international festival not too far from here, I really don’t think it happens all that often 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Greg 🙂
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY LEXXIE! four years! wow! that’s so cool 🙂 also cooler is that this is your last week !! wooohoooo and that book fair sounds fantastic (maybe because it is SOUTH OF FRANCE??? oh yeaah)
Thank you, Daniela 🙂 I’m quite happy about it being the last week of work, even if I see that I have quite a bit of work to do to be completely ready for my exam.
YAY for the South of France 🙂
What crazy weather. Ours gets like that sometimes. Happy almost blogoversary! 😀 My 5th blogoversary is the 1st, but I doubt I’ll do anything for it. Gotta get my Freddy fix.
Thank you, Christy 🙂 I completely forgot my blogoversary last year, but figured I wanted to do a giveaway this year 🙂
Have a fantastic week ahead!
Whoa that weather really does sound crazy. But how awesome that those book festivals are going to be in Europe and that they have authors you like! Good luck on the exam, and, as usual, Freddy is adorable 😛
Yeah, I’m really ready for summer to arrive now, you know?
I’m very happy there’s a book fest not far from here, and with authors I love 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Kristen.
Cute photos of the dog Lexxie! That’s so exciting that you’re going to meeting KA Tucker and CoHo, I absolutely LOVE them and you’re going to have such a great time! Congratulations on the 4 year blogoversary, what a fantastic achievement! My one is coming up in a few months time too!
Thanks, Jeann 🙂 I think it’s now become a new must to include pics of him in my Sunday post 🙂
I’m very excited about meeting KA and CoHo! I love them both, too.
Freddy has to be the highlight of my weekend I think! That first photo, he looks like he’s done something wrong and it’s so cute! Happy blogiversary!
Oh. I’m glad Freddy is a highlight in your weekend, Chuckles! He does kind of look like he’s been up to shenanigans in that first photo 😀
Gah! I hate how everything is so close in Europe and you can fly about anywhere! Sort of. The south of France sounds very decadent!
The weather’s still really unpredictable here as well which is annoying!
And finally – happy blogiversary! xx
Yeah, that’s one reason why I love living in the middle of Europe like I do, Deborah! And I haven’t actually been to that part of the French Riviera before, so that’ll be another plus as well.
That is some crazy weather. We have sadly reached the point here where its just hot and humid or hotter and more humid. Summer in the states…
Freddy looks so big now!! Gah! So cute!
Have a great week!
The very hot and humid is hard to live with as well. I wish we could get sunny, a bit dry and in the 80s. It could rain during the night 😀
We have had some crazy weather here as well. Not so much this past week but the week before. I was pulling my coat out after wearing shorts days earlier. Freddy is such a cutie! Happy 4 years! That is such an accomplishment, Lexxie!
Yeah, wearing thick jacket in the morning, but shorts and t-shirt in the afternoon… usually, that’s how it is in March, not in May!
Crazy weather!!! Wow 4 years blogging is awesome!! That book festival sounds awesome – love CoHo and KA Tucker! Yay for more Freddy pics 🙂 Have a great week!
It sounds great, eh? I am sure my daughter and I will love it 🙂
I don’t think I’ve come to visit you here before, but I have to say that I love EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR BLOG!!! I’m really looking forward to your posts for this week, especially the sex post haha!!
Thank you, Leona 🙂 LOL I guess knowing in advance that I have a discussion post about sex is a good thing, then 😉
Ah, the mercurial weather! Hopefully it will settle into something resembling summer soon. Good luck on the exams, and enjoy the bookish festival.
Congrats on the upcoming Fourth Blogoversary! How the years fly by. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
I certainly hope the weather will settle into summer soon. I feel like I should be hibernating right now 🙂
The weather has been weird lately! Good luck on your test! I haven’t had to take an oral test yet, but the hardest part for me would the talking because I don’t like talking to people I don’t know. I hope that you have a lot of fun at the book fest! I bet that you and your daughter will have a ton of fun. 🙂
Luckily for me, my oral exam will be conducted by my professor, whom I know already. And I don’t mind talking anymore, which is definitely a good thing, as I teach high school 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Anna!
Have blogoversay – 4 years is a real milestone:). Love the pics of Freddy, who is clearly enjoying the sunshine. Our weather is improving, but the nights are still cold and we are getting quite cool winds. But the late spring flowers are wonderful. Lovely to book and look forward to cons – I’m off to Fantasycon with my husband at Scarborough in Sept. Have a great reading and blogging week.
Thank you 🙂 Freddy does enjoy the sunshine – as all of us here do, actually 🙂 We just wish we would have it more often 😀
Fantasycon sounds like one I’d enjoy as well!
Happy blogaversary Lexie!!! Our weather has been a bit crazy here too. One day it’s beautiful and the next I’m reaching for my blankets and turning on the heater. Raining today, but it’s supposed to be pretty the rest of the week. We shall see though 😉
Good luck on your oral exam! I’m sure you’ll do fantastic. Hope you have a great week 😀
Thank you, Lillian 🙂 I hope the weather will show us that summer IS the season now 🙂 I the weather will be as good as was promised 🙂
Have a great week yourself.
Our weather has finally decided to stop being bonkers and has settled down a bit. Of course now that I say that we’ll probably get snow or hail or some other nonsense! Good luck on your exam and grading papers. I love the Freddy pictures! Just so precious. The book festival sounds like a lot of fun and what fun to be able to share that with your daughter. Have a great week!
Uh oh, Katherine… that’s probably dangerous to say :p I hope the weather will continue to be nice for you!
That weather sounds crazy! I hate those too warm days where it’s hard to concentrate. We had some sunny days and a bit of rain. I always forget for how long I’ve been blogging. I think it will be four years in December?
I hope your last week of teaching goes well! The book festival in France sounds like it will be a fun one. I hope you’ll have a great time there. It’s fun that some well known authors actually come this way.
Great Freddy pictures! He’s always looking so adorable! Thanks for linking to my post! I hope you’ll have a great week!
I feel like I just shouldn’t complain about the heat anymore, Lola. Because right now, some heat would be so very welcome! It’s still raining, windy and very cool outside 🙁
I’m sure I’ll have a fun time at the festival in France, Lola. I’m very excited about KA and CoHo being there, and I’m also very happy my daughter is coming with me!

We have crazy weather like there here some times. We have been getting a ton of rain, though not as bad as some places were it’s flooded. I am just tired of the rain, but we have four more days at least that is what the weather guys says…never can tell with the weather around here…lol.
That book festival sounds fun!
Stormi
There are floods over here, too. Not exactly where I live, but in several places, and the rivers close by are close to overflowing as well.
Gosh Freddy is so long!! I just have to say (again) how adorable he is!!!!
The weather is bonkers here in Scotland, in fact it is so hot today!
Enjoy the book festival!
He IS long! It’s funny, because he’s growing a lot these days, getting longer and longer, but his legs are more or less the same 😀
I hope your nice weather will keep, Heather, maybe cool down a little bit?
We’ve just been getting a lot of rain; flooding areas already drenched. Supposed to rain all this coming week, too. I just hope it doesn’t rain on field day! A book festival in the south of France? How lovely.
Yeah, it’s the same here, Charlie. Flooding and rain, and cold… Hopefully, it will change.
I hope your field day will be fun!
Oooh, a festival in the south of France sounds nice! Can’t wait to hear all about that! And what a sweet dog you have. I adore the look on his face. 🙂
I know, right? I have always complained about all the good book festivals being overseas, so when I found this one, I knew I had to go 🙂
I think Freddy’s a sweetie, too 🙂
I don’t miss those weird weather days. Have a wonderful wrap=up week as well as a great time at the book festival. Happy Blogiversary.
Thanks, Nise’ 🙂 I hope soon those weird weather days will just be a memory 😀
The book festival sounds so fun. And some excellent authors to meet too. Good luck on your exams and wrapping up the school year. Your weather does sound wacky. Been hot and sunny here. Just the way I like it. Have a lovely holiday weekend, Lexxie.
I know! I’m so excited about that festival, Laura 🙂
I hope the hot and sunny will stay that way for you 🙂
Congrats on the blog anniversary! A book festival sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate four years as a book blogger. 🙂
The book festival isn’t for a little while yet, but I will definitely think of it as part of my celebration, Jane 🙂
Oh that is annoying weather. How are you even suppose to know what clothes to put on with weather like that.
Congrats on your 4 year blogoversary!
Ha! The best would probably be to stay in PJs and be inside all day 😀 Thanks for sotpping by, Annemieke.
Your recent weather sounds like where I live. We always joke that if you don’t like the weather, wait a day or two, it”ll change! We get some crazy stuff all around the same time.
The author event in France sounds fun! That’s great you can go and with your daughter too.
-Lauren
LOL, waiting a couple of days for the weather to change would actually be nice righ tnow 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Lauren!
The weather everywhere has just been insane. I’ve put away the warmer clothes 3 times! Now, I just leave them laying out because dammit, I never know if I’ll need them. *exasperated sigh*
Oh, Freddy is just too adorable! 🙂
Good luck with the exam! We’ve got 9 days to go then summer break. Yay!
I want to put away all my winter clothes now, too… Too bad that doesn’t seem likely right now.
I look forward to summer break, too 🙂 Hopefully, the weather will cooperate a bit more once we’re all off and have time to have fun outdoors.
Our weather has been crazy too changing from hot to rain. I think it will be hot for now so it makes it hard to be outside. Congratulations on your blogoversary! I hope you have more years of blogging fun! The book festival in South of France sounds like a lot of fun. That is a great list of authors attending. I can’t wait to see your pictures from the event! Good luck on your exams and I hope you have a great week!
I hope the weather will calm down for all of us, soon, Kathy!
Wow! I’d be excited to see Hoover and KA Tucker too! You are so lucky!
Not long until school is over… good luck with it all!
For once when authors I adore are coming to somewhere close to where I live, I just had to get tickets 🙂
We went through a bout of weather just like that about a month ago, now it’s just humid and hot. The weather is basically screwed up every where this year. Congrats on you blog anniversary!! And your pup is super cute!
I hope you have an awesome week!
Yeah, it does seem as if the weather is completely screwed up most everywhere this year… Thanks for stopping by, Michelle.
I feel your pain with the odd weather – we’re experiencing it as well. Luckily, we’re just having thunderstorms/rain now rather than snow but it is still snowing at higher elevations. 😉 Here’s to summer!!! Good luck with your last week of teaching, your students’ exams, and your exam. You’ll do great, I have no doubt!! 😀
I hope you’ve had a great week. My computer stopped working…but it’s fixed now. Yay! And Sky is now officially an adult. 😉 She turned 18 yesterday. **BIG HUGS**
If we actually got snow down here, I think I’d just sit down and cry, Brandee.
I’m glad your computer is fixed – I was wondering where you were these days 😉 And congrats to Sky! That’s big! *BIG HUGS*
Waaaa ;A; I love your puppy so much :3 its cute!!!
Good luck with finishiingv your studies 🙂
Thanks, Lauren xoxo
I really hope you enjoyed France! I am really jealous that y’all visit Europe like we visit States here!
Well, each state in the US is kind of like a country, right? It’s the right size, at least. The trip to France won’t happen until late September, we just got our tickets. And I’m really excited about CoHo and KA Tucker coming to a festival here in Europe 🙂
