BookBonanza 2019 – Ready for Awesomeness!

BookBonanza 2019 – Ready for Awesomeness!

Today, I get on a plane to go to Dallas for some BookBonanza fun. And Brandee will come pick me up at the airport. I’m so excited to spend some time with my blogger friends, and meet many authors (150+ are attending), and a some audio narrators for a few days.   Brandee, Denise and I also went to BookBonanza in Denver last year, so we feel like we know a little bit what to expect. This year, we’re sharing a room with Anne @ Books of My Heart, and we’ll meet up with Kim @ Caffeinated Reviewer, Berls @ Because Reading, Felicia @ The Geeky Blogger, Kristin @ Addicted to Happily Ever After, and probably many more – but […]

COYER Deserted Island Read-a-Thon Wrap-up

COYER Deserted Island Read-a-Thon Wrap-up

COYER Deserted Island Read-a-Thon: As you might remember, I signed up to the COYER Deserted Island Read-a-thon a couple of weeks ago, and I was a little afraid I wasn’t going to be able to read three books in two weeks. Not because I don’t read fast – but because I have this thing about not wanting to read books as soon as I make a list. Yeah, it feels like someone is making me read a book if it’s on a list. I made it, however! I did read my three books, and I have to say I’m a little proud of myself 😀 COYER Deserted Island Read-a-Thon – Books I Read: I read Mrs. Everything by Jennifer Weiner, […]

RARE Paris We Had All the Fun!

RARE Paris We Had All the Fun!

RARE Paris: In the picture above are all the books I brought with me to RARE, they are now all signed, and I love to have them on my shelves now. I only got one extra book to take back home from RARE with me – Hidden by Rebecca Zanetti. As I said before we left for Paris, Denise, Brandee and I all volunteered during the signing. This meant that we got an Early Entry pass, and had time to meet and chat with the authors we wanted to see before the General Admission ticket holders entered the room. That happened a little earlier than planned, though, because of a miscommunication, but we still got to see every author we […]

This and that…

This and that…

This and That… This picture was taken almost two weeks ago, it’s of Brandee, me, and Denise, we’re up on a mountain just outside of the city of Geneva – and we can see the whole city plus the lake form there. We also watched some guys jump off with their para-gliders. It was a fantastic day! It was a fantastic time overall to have them here – truly. Brandee and Denise left Europe on Wednesday, and they were supposed to be back home in Denver that same day. However, the weather did not permit that, as Denver had a pretty bad snowstorm, and their flight form London was cancelled… They’re currently in Dallas, and won’t be all the way […]

Cover Reveal and Interview with Kennedy Daly – When the Gods Forget

Cover Reveal and Interview with Kennedy Daly – When the Gods Forget

When the Gods Forget is the second book in Daly’s Forgotten Gods series, and we totally loved the first book, Children of the Forgotten Gods. You can find our review here if you’re interested 😉 Today, we participate in the cover reveal, and we think it goes with the story very well! It’s a little dark, a little mysterious, and there’s also quite a lot of action in this story! The cover is designed by Michelle @ Limabean Designs, and we both think she did a great job once more! We also have the immense pleasure of interviewing Kennedy Daly today, so grab a cup of your favorite hot drink, and settle in 🙂 Author Interview: Hi Kennedy, it’s so […]

Midyear Freak-Out Book Tag

Midyear Freak-Out Book Tag: I found this post at Cait’s PaperFury, and since I’ve been in a complete blogging slump lately, I decided that this looks like fun! And I need to bring some fun back so I feel like blogging more… How Much I’ve Read: I’m actually in advance on my Goodreads reading challenge for once, because I haven’t been in a reading slump. Only in a blogging slump. And I’ve read some absolutely fantastic books so far this year – 2018 is the year of wonders when it comes to books. So yeah, I’m quite happy with my reading. Especially if we look at a breakdown on genres and ratings: So, I have no idea how Cait did […]

My Romance Sub-Genre recs for You: Historical Romance

My Romance Sub-Genre recs for You: Historical Romance

Romance Sub-Genre Recs – Historical Romance Hey, and welcome to my new post series – where I recommend various romance sub-genres to you. The idea came to me the first weekend in February, while I was chatting with Evelina @ Avalinah’s Books. She asked me to recommend romance books to her. This week, I am recommending Historical Romance books. I love those that are a bit unconventional – where the heroine doesn’t follow society’s restrictions. Where she dares to think differently, and she is also smart!   The Rogues to Riches series by Erica Ridley is really good! It has the feel I love in a historical romance – with the ton, beautiful ballgowns, whispering behind backs, and some kind […]

This week, I’m sharing some Romance Sub-Genre Recs in Romantic Comedy. Who doesn’t like some humor with their romance, right? I love authors who are able to make me laugh while also letting me feel all the feels!   This series – Wrong / The Café series – by Jana Aston is hilarious! And it’s also pretty hot. Aston managed to create some very relatable characters. But who definitely […]

My Romance Sub-genre Recs for You – Paranormal

My Romance Sub-genre Recs – Paranormal Romance Hello, and welcome to my new romance sub-genre recs post! The idea for this post series came to me while chatting with Evelina @ Avalinah’s Books, and I have so many posts planned I’m starting to think this series might last at least for half the year! Last week, my romance sub-genre recs was for steamy paranormal romance, so today, we’re going for paranormal romance, but with little to no sex. There might be a fade to black. There might be allusions. But the romance is still going strong. And so, is the action!   Spellcrackers.com is a series by Suzanne McLeod, and it’s set in London, England. There are faeries, vampires, and […]

My Romance Sub-genre Recs for You – Steamy Paranormal

Romance Sub-Genre Recs – Steamy Paranormal Romance Hey, and welcome to my new post series – where I recommend various romance sub-genres to you. The idea came to me the first weekend in February, while I was chatting with Evelina @ Avalinah’s Books. She asked me to recommend romance books to her. Today, my recommendations have stories where there is sex. Next week will be for paranormal romance recommendations with little to no sex – but still with romance. There are really many, many books and series I love in this sub-genre, because there’s an added layer of danger when it comes to paranormal creatures, am I right? To me, the queen of paranormal romance is Nalini Singh! She has […]
