My Romance Sub-genre Recs for You – Romantic Suspense

My Romance Sub-genre Recs for You – Romantic Suspense

Romance Sub-Genre Rec – Romantic Suspense Hey, and welcome to my new post series – where I recommend various romance sub-genres to you. The idea came to me the first weekend in February, while I was chatting with Evelina @ Avalinah’s Books. She asked me to recommend romance books to her. But she wanted romance with no actual sex, and not too heavy on the romance. Easy, right? Actually, it was. I read a whole lot of romance, and I love what the different sub-genres can bring us. Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite romantic suspense books, series and authors. I love romantic suspense, because there is an element of danger along with the romance. And therefore, when the […]

My Romance Sub-Genre Recs for You – Sweet Romance

Romance Sub-Genre Rec – Sweet Romance Hey, and welcome to my new post series – where I recommend various romance sub-genres to you. So for this first post in my series, I am recommending romances that are sweet, where there is chemistry between the characters, but where the romance is not necessarily the most important […]

Reflecting on 2016 – What happened this year?

Reflecting on 2016 – What happened this year?

2016 is almost over, and so I’m reflecting on the year past, asking myself what happened this year? Here on the blog and in my offline life, what have I been up to? What am I happy about, and what would be good to change in the new year? Books I read in 2016 I somehow ended up reading less books in 2016 than in prior years. I know I’ve been busy with both work and with my thesis, but still… I kind of wish I had read more books! I did manage to read 160 books this year, though, and I certainly enjoyed most of them. ARCs I Read in 2016 I am quite amazed at the fact that […]

Pokémon Book Tag

Pokémon Book Tag

Aentee @ I Read At Midnight had this fun Pokemon book tag going last summer, and I knew I wanted to do it as well. I’ve just not found the time to get around to it until now. Which is kind of sad, but also kind of fun, because maybe it will start over again now? With other bloggers doing it now instead of last summer. Oh my, I think I just have to mention an author who started my love for reading, and that’s Astrid Lindgren! Her children’s books are so amazing, and I bet you have all heard of Pippi Longstocking! There are many others, though, and her characters became my childhood friends, from Emil, Tommy and Annika […]

Twelve Days of Christmas – A Seasonal Book-tag

Twelve Days of Christmas – A Seasonal Book-tag

This week, I’m not posting any reviews, so a Twelve Days of Christmas tag is kind of perfect, as I’m wrapping things up and looking towards 2017… I found this tag over at Kristen’s Metaphors & Moonlight, and the original was found by her on YouTube at LizzieLovesBooks. If you want to be tagged, consider yourself tagged. Twelve Days of Christmas Book tag: A Partridge in a pear tree: Favorite Stand-Alone Book? The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater blew me away! The mythology is very ‘other’ and the characters moved the story forward in such a way I thought they were almost real. Two Turtle Doves: Fictional OTP/Favorite Ship? Kate and Curran from Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels series are awesome! […]

Books I Wish I’d Made Time for in 2016

Books I Wish I’d Made Time for in 2016

I’m linking up this post to Kimberly Fay Reads, she has a great count-down list from today and to the new year. I won’t do all of these, but some apply to posts I had already prepared when I first found about this challenge… Books I Wish I’d Made Time to Read in 2016: I’m definitely a bad blogger! I have had some of these books on my shelves for over a year, and I am still really excited about them – not sure why I haven’t gotten to them yet, but there you go… it is what it is.     I have started reading Illuminae, but then I got some ARCs and kind of left this one behind […]
