Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #312

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

Wylde cover - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-up

I love Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series and I can’t wait to read this one 🙂

Ghosts and reincarnation series - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-up

I’ve actually read this whole series. The first book was not awesome (2 stars) book 4 was 5 stars… KA’s writing is like crack! and I definitely needed that this past week 🙂

The Sunday Post #252 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

Another long, slow, but still fast week. I have no idea how this works, but somehow, it does. My husband has been feeling poorly, and was tested for covid this morning. Now, we’ll have to wait for 24-48 hours to know the result which he’ll get by text message.

I have almost finished all my papers, and I hope to be all finished by the end of next week. That way, when school opens again on May 11th, I’ll be able to concentrate only on that.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

I hope your husband is okay! The regular old cold would be nice right about now. Keeping all the fingers crossed for him!

Nice new rreads too! I hope you enjoy them all!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. I hope that your husband gets good news and starts feeling better very soon. I am so behind with Sawyer Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series but I did pick up Dax this weekend as a freebie and am eager to get started with it. Good luck with getting everything you want completed before heading back to school in just a bit. Your pups look adorable as always. Have a great week, Linda!

    • Thanks Carole! I hope so, too. It’s worrying to say the least.

YAY for getting Dax. I love her Arizona Vengeance series so much. She also really knows her hockey, which makes those books even better.

      Have a great week yourself!

  3. Oh dear! Here’s hoping that your husband is okay. The waiting period must be a bit of a misery… The dogs look like they’re having fun. Take care and I hope the week is a kind one, Linda.

  4. I hope your husband’s test comes back negative. Sending good vibes. I love Sawyer Bennett’s hockey books. I am a bit behind on the series, but will always want to read them.

  5. Gosh, I will keep your husband in my prayers. I do hope it is just a simple cold. My allergies are kicking my butt at the moment, this season is so bad.

Those puppies are just to cutest! <3

Miss you my friend! Stay Safe and Healthy! xoxo

  6. I hope your husband feels better no matter what the results. Wow so you go back to live teaching May 11th? I’m not comfortable going out and about, but when I must I wear a mask. Thank goodness for great books to read.

Take care, be kind and sensible!

  7. I hope the test results are negative for Covid-19…and that you are both okay in the future, too.

It’s great to have a whole series of favorite books. Enjoy!

I really hope your husband will be ok! Schools are reopining in Blegium too. I wonder how this will go!

  9. Good luck on the test! Hopefully it comes back negative, obviously, but either way hope he’s feeling better quickly!!! I’m sure the stress of waiting is tough. Sending positive vibes your way!!!

Love the dog pics as always. 🙂

  10. I love it when you find a series you can binge read that just hits the spot you need. 🙂 I quite like Kristen Ashley but haven’t read any of this series.

I hope your husband is ok and it’s just a regular bug and not Covid!

  11. LOL yeah I agree her writing is like CRACK ….and seriously her heroes especially I love. I just adore her style of alpha males. I love how they fight so hard for their women and the women fighting just as hard for their men. Makes it so life relatable. I haven’t read that series yet, but I am working my way towards it.

Glad to hear your test results are coming back pretty fast. I’ve heard of some places taking 7-10 days for a response. Enjoy your latest batch of books.

I sure hope your husband’s test results are good! That’s got to be scary! I’ve not read the Sawyer Bennett series but I got Dax a couple of days ago for free to try. So Switzerland is opening back up on May11? Strangely, it hit hard in the US well after Europe and some states are opening back up already. Such a big mistake. Meanwhile, I’ve not been anywhere since March 8th and plan on staying home. Take care!

  14. I do hope that your husband will soon be well again. And that his test comes out negative. Guess you are not the only teacher who feels that way. Some here told me the same but here in Germany the parents of most school kids literally required it that school had to start to reopen one way or the other. They won´t be back to normal but open and some teachers would have to hold classes via internet. Mostly those who are part of the high risk group. It is absolutely crazy … Stay safe and all the best for you and your family!

I hope your husband’s results came back negative and that he’s already feeling much better (since I’m days behind on my visiting)!

So are you back in the classroom Monday? Or have you been on a break and classes resume online Monday? Texas has canceled school for the remainder of the year. Whichever it is, best of luck – both come with their challenges and concerns.

    Hope you’ve had a great week. {{HUGS}}
