Weekend Wrap-up #284 – Sea, Sun and Fun!

Posted 6 July, 2019 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 29 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #284

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

I just finished reading Island Side, and I loved this final installment in Rock Stars, Surf and Second Chances!

The Sunday Post #224 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

It’s been a very nice, relaxing week of sea, sun and fun. And of course, quite a few books. Apart from my oldest daughter, who’s leaving for five weeks in Canada next week, the whole family is here, and that’s really nice. We hang out, chat, eat good food, swim, snorkel and just have fun. The dogs love it, too, even if they’re fairly lazy about going outside in the heat. They’re nice an cozy at home with the air conditioning on 😉

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Puppies out for an evening walk – when there was no danger of them burning their little feet.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

Oh nice! That’s pretty much how I am all summer long…hanging out in the house with the AC on! Lol!

Nice new reads too! They’re totally new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them all!

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. Sounds like a pretty amazing time! Glad you’re having fun. The weather here is finally nice enough to go to the beach. Now it’s almost too hot!

Ah yes! Sounds relaxing. Funny about the dogs not liking to go out in the heat. Can’t blame them there.
Oh, nice, starting one of the KA series. Hope you love it.

Keep enjoying your vacation, Lexxie! 🙂

  4. I have been wanting to read that Mankin series. I think I even have the first book. I love it when a series ends on a high note. Sounds like a lovely way to spend a vacation. It’s nice when the whole family can be together too.

    • Oh you should pick it up now, Sam! The last book will be released next week, and the series is really well done! I think the first book is either free or $0.99 right now, too 😉
I love family vacations – especially when the adult kids choose to come with us.

A week by the sea sounds so nice! It sounds like you are having a lovely time. I love the covers of the Ashley books. So pretty. Island Side sounds like a lot of fun. Perfect for the season. I hope you have a great week!

That sounds like a perfect week! I haven’t been to the sea in ages. I actually planned to go to the sea on Thursday, but I don’t know if the weather will be okay.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation and your family time! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!

Sounds like the perfect vacation to me. Having your family together and enjoying life is always good. Happy reading and thanks for sharing the picture with us.

I love snorkeling! You’re so fortunate to be somewhere where you can do that! Even though I won’t be taking a vacation this year, I am taking every opportunity to enjoy the San Francisco bay area. I always forget how much there is to do around here until I make the effort to get out and do things! Have a wonderful week.

I would not judge the doggos wanting to stay in. I would do it as well if it were not for the beaches. I hope you have a fun filled week ahead.

  10. Happy to hear you’re enjoying some family time! Sounds like a really fun time. Also, my dogs have been having a similar nightly walk once the sidewalks cool off. I always worry that it’s still too hot for them. Ah! I hope your upcoming week treats you well.

  11. Oh I’m glad you are having a nice time in Spain!! Sounds so relaxing! My dogs think they want to play outside then I let them out and they look at me like I’m crazy and they rush back in.
