The Sunday Post #129 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I feel like I repeat myself every weekend, about how busy my week has been:) And yes, it’s been the same this past week, too. Spring has really arrived, though, with flowers growing, the leaves appearing on the trees, and the dreaded pollen making me sneeze like crazy.

  1. Yes, I think the busy feeling is probably going to be around for a while with the projects and work you have going on. Ugh, pollen season.

Oh, looks like you got lots of goodies in the haul this week. I’ve been meaning to read Molly Harper’s books they look so fun.

Yay for Freddie getting out and enjoying the spring weather. 🙂

  2. Freddy is way cuter than Beckham! Ugh pollen…it’s such a misery for people when that all starts. I’m lucky not to be affected by it. Spring doesn’t seem to have hit here yet but the weather is still a bit unsettled. No bad winter storms which is a relief. I hate high winds. Not much going on in my part of the world really! Have a good reading week!

  3. Ooh nice! I just found out I was approved for Legion too! Requested it on a total longshot and was surprised when I got the email last night! Now I just need to read Solider! My review pile…which had been pretty small, like 2 books, just got crazy in one week!! LOL! Hope you enjoy the new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • Yeah! Molly Harper is coming to Berlin for RARE17 in June. And I persuaded Mr. Lex to go for a weekend getaway with me to Berlin that weekend 😉
I haven’t read all of these, but I love those by her I’ve read, and figured I might as well get some more paperbacks to get signed 🙂

  4. Ahh Thank you so much, Lexxie. #hugs 😀
Btw, I’ve already purchased The Night Mark, thanks to your recommendation!
I can’t wait to read your reviews for ‘The Upside of Unrequited’ and ‘Cowboys Don’t Ride Unicorns’. Top rated books are my weaknesses. 😉
I hope you have a wonderful week filled with awesome reads, Lexxie. Happy reading. 😀

    • I loved your ugly-cry list, Geybie! And way to put some pressure on me, right?I hope you’ll enjoy The Night Mark as much as I did, and I’ll be looking for your review 🙂 I absolutely love Tiffany Reisz.
Both The Upside of Unrequited and Cowboys Don’t Ride Unicorns totally did me in as well, in very different ways 🙂

  5. Oh I loved The Strongest Steel as well! Trent is probably one of my top book boyfriends for sure! Amazing book haul by the way! Super awesome.
Hope your allergies get better. I know how miserable that is!

  6. Sourcebooks is one of my favorites! I don’t know how you do it – accepting/reading all of these. I get a lot of unsolicited book mail, but with electronic ARCs, I pretty much ignore the unsolicited requests. 😀 I’m curious about Murphy’s Law! I’ve heard a lot of good things about Foster’s books. I hope you enjoy all of your new additions!

Have a wonderful weekend, Lexxie. =)

    Check out my STS post!

    • Sourcebooks and Carina Press just send me books… and I don’t feel any kind of pressure when it comes to reading them, although I usually do end up reading them all.
Murphy’s Law is a re-release, and I really look forward to it, as I love Lori Foster 🙂

    • I have only read the first or maybe the first two in the Talon series, Di. And I requested Legion because I love Kagawa, but I didn’t really think I’d be accepted. I guess I should hurry up and catch up now, eh?
      Thanks for stopping by.

  7. I can hardly wait for spring. I’ll take the allergies if it means I can ride my motorcycle again. It is so sad sitting in the garage 🙁 I hope things mellow out for you and you can breath again soon.
I hope things mellow out for you this week in real life too. It kinda sucks to be so busy. You are still getting loads of book reviewed and posts up on your site, so there’s that. You should write a post about how you do it ALL. I would love to know your secrets.
The Blackbird Season got my interest. I hope you enjoy all your new reads (whenever you get to them that is). Have a great week and happy reading!

    • I bet you’re impatient to get your motorcycle out of the garage, Karen!
I am not sure how I’ve been able to keep up lately, and I did take a week off because I just didn’t want to stress with the blog 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by!

  8. So sorry about the P word:(. Really. Because in another month, I shall be sneezing alongside you until early June – or later if it’s a really wet month and the flowering grasses continue longer than usual. The only consolation I have is that it used to be SO much worse with temperature, swollen eyes, sore throat, earache and bleeding fingers where the skin on my hands used to crack. Nowaday I sneeze a lot and my eyes are a bit sore – but as I grow older, each year my symptoms are lessened. It’s quite common, apparently – I hope you find it is the case, too! Have a good week despite the pollen. My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/03/19/sunday-post-19th-march-2017/

  9. Glad to hear that you’ve been getting some Spring weather, but sorry about your sinus’. My nose goes a little crazy with all of the pollen too. It’s been really cold around here for the past week or so. I’m still waiting on that warm weather.

So many great books this week! Hope you love them all, and have a great week!

  10. Goodness Woman! I thought I got a lot of books that last two weeks, you totally beat me! 🙂

Busy is good, right? I have been a bit busier at home than usual and this week I took a blog break and it was totally needed. Freddy would make a wonderful soccer player! The cutest playing in the history of Soccer.

I am so looking forward to spring, just not the pollen. The allergies usually mess up my son so bad and sometimes me.

I hope this week is awesome for you Lexxie! Miss your face! oxoxox

  11. It felt like a busy week for me too but I can’t figure out why. LOL It’s green and colorful here and time to finish getting the pool ready. And the pollen is so thick my car looks green! You sure nabbed a bunch of books this week. I couldn’t believe it when I did my books I got part of my post and only had one this week. WHAT????LOL

    • Sometimes, we just have stuff to do that fill up our days, but it’s like nothing special, is that it?
Oh my gosh, that’s worse than here with the pollen, Laura! I hope you’ll be able to clean it up.
      One book? That’s awesome 🙂

  12. I love spring though I don’t love allergies. I usually have more problems in the fall than spring. I am definitely looking forward to warmer weather.

I do enjoy those Sourcebooks emails. I’ve gotten some nice ARCs from them in the past. Looks like you’ve got a good selection. Hope you enjoy them!

    Have a great week!

  13. I sometimes feel like every week is a busy one. Working full time and having a family doesn’t leave a ton of time for other things. Throw in a few extra events and I am wiped out. Freddy is adorable as always. My youngest dog is part dachshund (or so they say) and I don’t really see it but her tail looks just like Freddy’s and her coat is getting longer. It looks like you got some great books this week. Enjoy!

  14. Sourcebooks, Atria and Kensington are always tempting me too. 🙂 Looks like you got some good ones there, Lexxie!

I love the spring weather, although not so much the allergies it brings with it. Everyone in my house is sneezing more. I bet Freddy is loving this weather!

I hope you have a great week! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

    • Sourcebooks are a bit sneaky, as they just send me an e-mail with eARCs attached 🙂 And I love it! Atria and Kensington make me work a little more for it, but it’s so very difficult to resist 🙂
I love the spring weather, too, but wish I wasn’t allergic.

  15. Oh my goodness did you make a haul book-wise last week!! Good grief, wifey! I admit I’m a little green and it has nothing to do with St. Patrick’s Day. 😉 I’m sorry you’re sneezing. It seems spring has arrived here early as well but what that means for us is fire danger being high and fire bans in effect. Wah! Snow, snow, we need more snow!!!! Enjoy all your new reads and find some time for YOU in all the crazy busy you have going on. {{{BIG HUGS}}}

  16. Freddy AND a soccer ball and net??? probably the most adorable pic I’ve seen in a while. I’m a soccer crazy mom and you know I’m Freddy’s biggest fan so LOVE LOVE LOVE.
I wanted to request legion but man.. you already saw my HUGE NetGalley pile so nope no no no I need to show some restrain. 😛 I hope you read it soon so I get jealous and request it 🙂 Glad to hear you are looking forward to spring and flowers. A pic of Freddy with flowers could be too much for me tough 🙂 I’ll melt in a puddle 🙂

  17. Ooh you got Girl Out of Water. I definitely want to read one. And spring is just starting to bud out here too, I’m seeing green shoot up. 🙂

The Blackbird season looks good too.
