To Tame a Wild Lady is Caro’s story, she doesn’t fit within the strict rules of society, and would rather ride her horse than gossip with the ladies. (un)conventionally short: Caro and Adrian weren’t supposed to even meet. Needless to say, they were definitely not supposed to fall in love. To Tame A Wild Lady told a different story, though, and it was delightful! Second in the Duke Defying Daughters series, this story made my toes curl in pleasure. I so love an unconventional lady. Chasing Christmas Eve was a nice story, back with the gang in Heartbreaker Bay. Colbie and Spence were fun, even if they both thought they sucked at love! Lucas’ story was a bit frustrating at times, both because Stephanie was so closed off, and because it stopped rather abruptly – only to go straight to a kind of epilogue including Van rather than either Lucas or Stephanie. Scored follows a baseball star and a hot indie records store seller, they have met more than once through their best friends, and their chemistry is sizzling hot. Story: Kelsey and Matt showed up in Bossed, and I enjoyed them immensely as side characters. Somehow, I enjoyed them a little less as main characters in Scored. Right Where We Belong brought me right back to Silver Springs, where I followed the complicated romance between Savanna and Gavin. There was quite a bit of suspense surrounding them, and that wasn’t the only thing working against them. Story: Savanna has been through a lot since her husband was arrested for several rapes. The Bone Witch had a very slow pace, and felt more like a prequel disguised as a novel than an actual novel. It’s like its whole purpose was to set up the next book in the series. Holiday Wishes was a sweet, tender novella in one of my favorite Shalvis series, and I loved to see this more mature side of Sean. Story: While Holiday Wishes is a quite short story, the feel of the Heartbreaker Bay gang is very much present.
