Review: The Baron’s Governess Bride – Deborah Hale

Review: The Baron’s Governess Bride – Deborah Hale

*I received a free ARC of The Baron’s Governess Bride from Inspired Love via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.* The Baron’s Governess Bride is a very sweet and innocent historical romance. A quick read, a little predictable, but still very enjoyable. Grace Ellersby is a young, beautiful governess and she hides her beauty so that the men who might be guests of the household will not try to seduce her. That’s a big problem she’s had in the past, and she has fled three prior employers to get away from too forward gentlemen. Review: Stormdancer (The Lotus War #1) – Jay Kristoff

Review: Stormdancer (The Lotus War #1) – Jay Kristoff

*I received a free ARC of Stormdancer from Tor UK via Netgalley in order to write an honest review of this book* The glimpses into Yukiko’s past through the flashbacks are heartbreaking! It explains so much about her, and at the same time, it makes me want that she could still have the innocence, as well as the fellowship she had with her brother and Buruu. It also is an excellent way of providing the back-story, without resorting to info dumping. Lucretia and the Kroons – Victor LaValle

*I received a free ARC of Lucretia and the Kroons from Random House via Netgalley in exchange an honest review.*   Loochie’s brother Louis explains something about horrors to her, saying “But being young doesn’t protect you. Horrors are for kids, too.” At that moment Louis stared into the distance and seemed truly sad for having to reveal a truth like that to his little sister. Deep Autumn Heat (Star Harbor #1) – Elisabeth Barrett

*I got a free ARC of Deep Autumn Heat from  Loveswept via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.* I am amazed that Deep Autumn Heat is actually a debut book, it is extremely well written, it is packed with action, romance, a little sex, great food and a really great heroine. The hero isn’t so bad either 😉 Subscribe to Blog via Email Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email. Amazing Grace – Eve Gaddy

Amazing Grace – Eve Gaddy

*I received a free ARC of Amazing Grace from Netgalley* Amazing Grace is a sweet contemporary romance, which takes place in Hell, Texas. Max decides early on that Gracie is not a part of a human trafficking ring, but he still can’t tell her what his real job is. Something is not right at the Sherriff’s office, and he has to find out what it is. Max and Gracie play a little game of seduction, and although Gracie is very inexperienced and Max is a bit of a player, Gracie manages to catch him completely off guard. Some very hot moments ensue, I had to stop reading for a while when I was in public because I got a little […]
