Review: Let Me Count the Ways – P.G. Forte

Review: Let Me Count the Ways – P.G. Forte

Let me count the ways I loved this story! It is fun and playful, with mature characters who deserve to have love in their lives. Let Me Count the Ways is well written and leaves the reader never knowing what will happen next, yet very eager to learn. P G Forte masterfully brings the reader closer to Clare and Mike as the story unfolds. Even when a terrifying incident brings them closer only to totally tear them apart… All is not lost. Both Clare and Mike are insecure without much of a reason to be. Their encounters go from funny and light, to hot and heavy, to fighting and wanting to never see each other again. Clare meets her accountant […]

Review: Love From A to Z – PG Forte

Review: Love From A to Z – PG Forte

Love from A to Z is playful and light, with some darker undertones as well. P. G. Forte’s Love from A to Z is a book about new beginnings and operates on insomnia. When April wakes up on Saturday morning, next to Zach, she has no idea who he or she is. The game here is sex. The reader is immediately immersed in Zach’s playfulness. There are some very visual scenes between April and Zack as they embark on their sexual journey, which set the pages on fire. And somehow the fact that they just met, even how they met, doesn’t lessen the intensity between them. It feels right – at least this reader thinks so. The story also manages […]

Review: Waiting for the Big One – PG Forte

Review: Waiting for the Big One – PG Forte

Waiting for the Big One is a short, sexy and steamy read! It is obvious from the start that Gabe has feelings for Derek. But she is so afraid to lose his friendship that she decides they will stay friends instead of becoming lovers because once that step has been taken, it can’t be taken back. When Zach moves in to Gabe’s building, she finds him intriguing and the fact he’s hot doesn’t hurt, making it easier to think that he could be the One. She even asks Derek for help and ends up doing a strip-tease in front of her window—just across from Zach’s apartment. Quicker than lightning, Zach knocks on her door and some really hot sex ensues. Review: Dating a Cougar – Donna McDonald

Review: Dating a Cougar – Donna McDonald

My Dating a Cougar review: Dating a Cougar is a quick read filled with both romance and some unlikely things. MacDonald is very good at describing a mature woman’s wants and needs. I had a problem with this book though, and that was that as much as I really liked Alexa, I didn’t like Casey! He was acting very selfishly and did not take ‘no’ for an answer. I always get uncomfortable when a woman says ‘no’ and the man does not respect her answer. Even if Alexa was turned on by Casey, I think he should have listened to her and let her decide when their relationship should be taken to the next level. He also confused me because […]

Review: I Do… Or Die – Donna Cummings

Review: I Do… Or Die – Donna Cummings

*I got a free ARC of I Do… Or Die from Manic Readers in exchange of an honest review* This review was first posted at Risqué Reviews on November 28th. I Do… Or Die starts the action with the very first phrase. The wedding happens at the beginning, the gunshots hurt the bride, and there is mayhem in the church, while Shelby dives to cover her best friend, Alexa. Luckily, Alexa is not badly hurt, but she has to stay a few days in the hospital while her new(est) husband Jordan is fretting. The meeting between Ryan and Shelby in the hospital is funny, and she feels attracted to him straight away. But on edge about the shooting, and her […]

The Time Weaver – Thomas A. Knight

The Time Weaver – Thomas A. Knight

*I received a free ARC of The Time Weaver from DragonWing Publishing via Manic Readers in exchange of an honest review* This review of The Time Weaver was originally posted at Risque Reviews on July 6th 2012. The Time Weaver grabbed me from the first line and hauled me inside a crazy world, on a wild ride! I have rarely felt so connected with the main character after just the first line, and I just had to turn the page, see what would happen next, and continue to be amazed. The words are wielded with the same sure elegance Seth learns his magic. Subscribe to Blog via Email Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of […]
