Like everyone else in LA, Gabby is waiting for The Big One. The big break that will make her a star. The big quake that will rock the city to its knees. Or, in this case, the Big O—the elusive, G-spot, ultra orgasm. She thinks she's found the guy who’ll give it to her when she meets Zach, the super hot musician who's just moved into her building. But Gabby's quest to find true love and ultimate pleasure with the rock guitarist of her dreams is complicated by her friendship with Derek, the martial arts instructor with whom she's co-writing a screenplay.
Up until now, Gabby has refused to even consider Derek for the role of soul mate because she fears sex will ruin their friendship. But, Derek has ideas of his own about that, and they don’t include sharing Gabby with anybody.
When an early morning earthquake precipitates a crisis at her day job—dog-walking the pampered pets of Hollywood's elite, off leash in Runyon Canyon Park—Gabby is going to turn to Derek for help. His actions will force her to re-evaluate her feelings about mixing sex and friendship.

Waiting for the Big One is a short, sexy and steamy read!

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews
It is obvious from the start that Gabe has feelings for Derek. But she is so afraid to lose his friendship that she decides they will stay friends instead of becoming lovers because once that step has been taken, it can’t be taken back.

When Zach moves in to Gabe’s building, she finds him intriguing and the fact he’s hot doesn’t hurt, making it easier to think that he could be the One. She even asks Derek for help and ends up doing a strip-tease in front of her window—just
across from Zach’s apartment. Quicker than lightning, Zach knocks on her door and some really hot sex ensues. Derek tells Gabe he doesn’t like it one bit and shows up when Gabe invites Zach for dinner to make things difficult for Gabe. Even more so when he convinces Zach, the musician, to leave to go to a concert, leaving Derek alone with Gabe…

The sexual tension that builds between Derek and Gabe is so palpable it’s almost painful, but, oh so sweet. When they finally give into their passion it bursts off the pages like fireworks igniting. And it is glorious! This book is a must-read for all lovers of fun erotica. It is very well written and can be easily read in one sitting. With its straightforward plot, this book is worth the read. But be careful so you don’t burn your hands…

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

They’ll tell you Pisces is a patient sign, but you can’t really label the fish. We’re complex people. We combine the best and worst of all the other signs. And the truth is, I hate to wait.

What I was hoping for was something more lifealtering, soul-searing, rock-my-world passion. I knew it was out there, waiting for me. All I needed was the right guy to help me find it.

Friends don’t break up each other’s relationships. That’s rule number one. They stick up for each other like the Train song says, even when you know they’re wrong.

  1. The sexual tension sounds gold in this one! I was worried about Zach for a bit, but it doesn’t look like he’s going to be annoying too much!
I’m glad this was a quick and hot read for you, Lexxie! I’ll add it to my list of books to check out when I’m in the mood for a book with fun sexy times.

  2. This sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon, Lexxie…particularly if it’s snowing out. It’ll keep me warm! 😉 I’m really intrigued by the sexual tension exploding like fireworks. Sometimes guys just need a little push, no? Even though Gabe wasn’t sure she wanted to move past friendship, she gave Derek a shove…
