As the owner of The Body Electric, LA’s hottest new exercise studio, sexy, former film star Claire Calhoun has her pick of studly young men eager to do her bidding. Small wonder she’s used to calling the shots, both in and out of bed. But everything changes the night the actress-turned-entrepreneur has one mojito too many at a party and decides it would be fun to pick up her accountant, Mike Sherman.
She's thinking fling. He's thinking forever.
Claire has been Mike's fantasy since the first time he saw her bare it all for the camera. Now, she's in his bed and he'll do whatever’s necessary to keep her there. But he's not a stalker, right? He's just a devoted fan.
Let me count the ways I loved this story! It is fun and playful, with mature characters who deserve to have love in their lives.
Let Me Count the Ways is well written and leaves the reader never knowing what will happen next, yet very eager to learn. P G Forte masterfully brings the reader closer to Clare and Mike as the story unfolds. Even when a terrifying incident brings them closer only to totally tear them apart… All is not lost. Both Clare and Mike are insecure without much of a reason to be. Their encounters go from funny and light, to hot and heavy, to fighting and wanting to never see each other again.
Clare meets her accountant Mike after just breaking up with Derek—the main male character in LA Love Lessons 1. Or did Derek break up with her? Derek is younger and one of her yoga teachers at her club. But Mike really boosts her ego, looking at her as if she is still the superstar she was in her 20s and early 30s. Seeing that some fans still worship her as they used to makes her feel good.
Mike is almost tongue-tied when entering her office for one of their bi-weekly accounting meetings. He catches her contemplating herself in the mirror and thinks she looks sad. She feels stupid and says something about being an actress
and obsessed with her looks. He finally finds the right thing to say and tells her it’s normal that she works on her looks the same way a singer works on his voice.
Mike has a small vibe of the stalkerish fan. It takes a while to see if he is real or not. He never tries to hide how much he loves and admires Clare. She drinks up the attention and thinks a fling would be great but nothing more. Six broken
marriages are more than enough. However, Mike wants more than a fling. When they get together, they are truly hot, playful, and both feel very satisfied physically. The more Mike learns about Clare, the more he wants to be with her. But there is something in her past she is afraid to tell him—something causing men to leave in a hurry. Little does she know Mike is already aware of her secret and only admires her more for it as it’s part of the reason he fell in love with her long before their meeting.
Let Me Count the Ways is a fun read, be careful not to have too many people around, you might just need a cold shower! In my opinion, it’s the best of the series LA Love Lessons. I want to read more from this author in the near future.
But if her face was made for heaven, everything south of that had been built with a far different destination in mind. Her body was sinful enough to tempt even a saint into straying. Happily. Right through the gates of Hell. And I’m far from being a saint.
Standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling smoked glass that lined one entire wall of my second-floor office, I watched the class working out in the studio below me. A dozen and a half youthful beauties—mostly female—twisted their bodies into pretzels. Willingly. Eagerly. Effortlessly.
All sorts of inappropriate thoughts followed. I had to clear my throat to relieve the tension there.

Sounds like they have a fun dynamic. I was wondering about him being a fan when I read the blurb, so I’m glad that works out.
He was a fan, but he also already knew her, so that wasn’t really a problem!
lol for the cold shower and a book lover ? that’s so much fun!
I know, right? It’s always fun to read about characters who are book lovers!
I love the sound of this one, Lexxie, plus it’s a ‘seasoned’ romance! Yay! I’m always up for that! Six broken marriages?!? I’m glad things worked out in the end for Clare and Mike. 🙂
Have a great weekend!! I’ll be offline until I get back from Portland, so let’s catch up next week. **BIG HUGS**
Ha! Seasoned is the new black, Brandee 😉 Yeah, six broken marriages is a lot, but it was amazing to me that she never gave up on love.
I hope we’ll be able to catch up next week, I miss you!! Good luck in Portland. *BIG HUGS*
I’m so glad you loved this one. It looks like a lot of fun. I’ve never read this author before.
It definitely was a lot of fun, Quinn 🙂 And I need to read more PG Forte 🙂
