Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Dumb F*ck ~ T. Torrest

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Dumb F*ck ~ T. Torrest

Good golly but Dumb F*ck was all kinds of fun! With 90’s references, Scooby-Doo vibes, and equal parts silly and HOT, Dumb F*ck delivered everything I expect from T. Torrest. Well, everything except the serious. T. Torrest dubbed this an eroticomedy and I like that description. Dumb F*ck is the perfect way to kick off your summer reading! I laughed my head off so many times! It did take me a while to read, but that’s mostly because I was not motivated to read at all for a while. So busy with work, exams, year-end reports and everything else. Eroticomedy is the perfect word for Dumb F*ck, though. Sage was an interesting bird. She was super smart (valedictorian) and something […]

Dual Blogger Review: The Sins We Hide – Scarlett Cole

Dual Blogger Review: The Sins We Hide – Scarlett Cole

The Sins We Hide is a gritty MC romance with a young woman going back to her roots, and the boy she used to have a crush on now a cynical VP. The Sins We Hide follows Gwen and Clutch, and their past is a lot less messy than their present, for sure! Gwen goes back to the past in a way after her mother is killed, and she then finds out that not only is her father dead, too – they were buried on the same day. And most of the people in the club hate not only her mother, but her too. Gwen definitely has a lot to deal with, and the most difficult parts are the secrets […]

New Release Review & Giveaway ~ Angel of Ashes & Dust ~ D.H. Nevins

New Release Review & Giveaway ~ Angel of Ashes & Dust ~ D.H. Nevins

Angel of Ashes & Dust is the exciting ending to the Wormwood Trilogy. It’s a book I’ve been eagerly anticipating and it delivered the satisfying ending I was hoping for. Picking up where Angel of Shadow left off, Kali finds herself the reluctant leader of the surviving humans. She’s struggling with a role she didn’t ask for, a group that seemingly gets angrier and more mistrusting every day, and a power she hesitates to use for fear of it being used against her. Despite Kali not wanting to lead, she’s willing to do all she can to help these humans rebuild. This determination means she must deal with the distrust and make the hard decisions needed to further their cause. […]

New Release Review ~ The Rogue ~ Kimberly Kincaid

New Release Review ~ The Rogue ~ Kimberly Kincaid

The Rogue was fast-paced and suspenseful with a side of romance. I’d not read any of the previous books in this series and didn’t suffer for it. I will however be going back to read the others in the series because I need to know everyone else’s stories. 😉 Addison is an awesome detective. She works hard at doing her job well. She works equally as hard at not having emotions. Emotions equal weakness and she doesn’t ever want to feel weak again. One night with Ryan though had her feeling things that scared her. So she ran. Unfortunately she takes a call that puts her in close proximity to Ryan. His sister is being stalked and it’ll take every […]

ARC Review: Running Wild – K.A. Tucker

ARC Review: Running Wild – K.A. Tucker

Running Wild is Marie’s story, she is a character we met in the prior Wild stories, and she was not my favorite character in those… I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy Marie’s story, because, as I sad, I didn’t really like her in the prior books in this series. Partly, that’s because she was kind of an interloper in Calla and Jonah’s story. As Jonah’s best friend – who also had a crush on him. This is something Marie deals with in her own novel. While she is happy for Calla and Jonah, she also wants that kind of relationship for herself. The family relationships in Running Wild are a bit complicated. Marie is the oldest of three sisters, and she […]

Review ~ Seeking Vengeance ~ Eden Summers

Review ~ Seeking Vengeance ~ Eden Summers

Seeking Vengeance was a steamy, emotional thrill-ride! I was immediately drawn into the story. And to say I’ll be impatiently awaiting the next installment might just be the understatement of 2021 so far. (as it relates to my reading anyway ;)) Layla wants to be enough. As the daughter of a crime lord, she feels tainted by her family’s business. Then there’s the guilt she feels over a family betrayal that shouldn’t be held against her, yet is. And she’s paid the unthinkable price. Her family despises her and she’s seeking vengeance as well as redemption. Matthew is rather an enigma. He holds his cards close to his chest – except for his feelings for Layla. His life experiences have shown him […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Next Mrs Russo ~ Jana Aston

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Next Mrs Russo ~ Jana Aston

Hooray! JAston is BACK! And with The Next Mrs Russo she’s better than ever! 🙂 Oh my gosh – it was all I could have ever wished for and more! I immediately fell for Audrey. Her quirky personality and her hysterical internal dialog was so much fun and it allowed us to really get to know her. I adored that she up-cycled vintage clothing (I didn’t know that was a thing) and that her plumbing was essentially held together with duct tape. Audrey made me realize how much I’d missed JAston’s characters. What about you? Audrey was fantastic – I loved her stream-of-consciousness talking and thinking. I had never heard of up-cycling vintage clothing either, but that was so cool […]

Review ~ Homecoming Heartbreaker ~ Joss Wood

Review ~ Homecoming Heartbreaker ~ Joss Wood

I quite enjoyed my initial visit to Moonlight Ridge with Homecoming Heartbreaker. I love the setup for the entire series and look forward to seeing how these brothers, and their dad, end up ensnared by just the right woman. 😉 Homecoming Heartbreaker focuses on Mack, the oldest Holloway brother, and Molly Haskell, the girl he left behind. With Mack’s dad being ill, he’s back to run the business (a luxury resort) for a while. He’s determined to clear the air with Molly so they can move on, leave the past in the past, and work together amicably (she stayed on a Moonlight Ridge and is an integral part of the business.) However, Mack’s willpower to stay away from Molly is […]

ARC Review: The Mama Diaries – Belle Brooks

ARC Review: The Mama Diaries – Belle Brooks

The Mama Diaries is the book all mothers need in their life. Belle Brooks has a fantastic sense of humor, and in The Mama Diaries, she truly shone that humor on all the hard times mamas can have in the day-to-day life of raising their beloved children. Tantrums, puke, poop, love, hugs and more – it’s all part of being a mama, and it was beautifully (and very funnily) depicted in this novel. I loved that the four women, Tracey, Mia, Anna and Haddie, met and hit it off from the get-go. They all needed some friends, and The Mama Diaries showed that women can be so much stronger together. Building each other up, having each other’s backs, and simply […]

Review ~ Mafia King ~ CD Reiss

Review ~ Mafia King ~ CD Reiss

Oh my! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Mafia King and CD Reiss didn’t disappoint. This part of Santino and Violetta’s journey found them at a fork in the road and the two of them at odds over which direction to take. The decision, however, may have been taken out of their hands. At the end of the first installment Santino and Violetta are clashing over a secret Santino’s been keeping. Watching them work through this issue, especially since Violetta’s assumptions about the secret are far-fetched – was compelling. I didn’t understand why Santino wouldn’t just come clean. Things were illuminated. Santino doesn’t believe he’s a good man or that he deserves Violetta. It’s up to Violetta to […]
