ARC Review ~ All the Better Part of Me ~ Molly Ringle

All the Better Part of Me was a rather heartwarming read. Witnessing Sinter figure out his sexuality and deal with the repercussions was compelling even if I did get frustrated with him at times. He was, in all honesty, doing the best he could given the “tools” he had. Highlights: Characters Sinter immediately captivated me. His love of 80’s music, Shakespeare, and emo-style of dressing felt familiar and comfortable. And his career as an actor made his flair for the dramatic realistic. You’d Be Mine was a sweet, emotional, coming-of-age story from new-to-me author, Erin Hahn. Obviously the blurb hooked me but EHahn delivered on that promise. I look forward to reading more from her. A Beautiful Risk is a well-written, compelling story with engaging characters! This was a great introduction to CDixon and I look forward to continuing the Love at Lincolnfield series. Wow! Wow! Wow! Black Sheep was intense. MMarch certainly knows how to dial up the suspense and tension while keeping the hot factor in perfect balance. Arndt and York brought Drew and Cannon to life brilliantly, proving yet again why they’re two of my favorite narrators. Highlights: Characters Drew is a character to admire. The Summer We Lost Her is a slow-paced mystery where a young girl disappears without trace from the front of a summer house. Especially the beginning of The Summer We Lost Her is very slow. I was wondering when something would happen, while also getting to know Matt and Elise and Gracie. Between the fact that Elise was a top athlete, and Matt the main caretaker for Gracie, it was clear that the usual gender roles were not part of this family’s dynamics. She kept me giggle-snorting while flipping through the pages as quickly as I could! We got a little taste of Daisy in all her crazy-fun glory in Sure Thing, the first book in the Best Laid Plans series. She was wild enough to be pulling a twin switcheroo at her job! Due Diligence was a relevant and engaging listen. Although it’s the thrid in the series, it works as standalone. However, characters from the previous books are present and are interesting enough that I want to know their stories. I did have a few issues but overall my introduction to AZabo and IToma was a good one! What Worked: Characters I liked Fazil and Todd. They’d been involved in high school but broke up when Fazil left for college. Their reunion was unexpected but they definitely still had chemistry.
