Part 1 in the New Adult Romantic Suspense serial, "Undercover."

I am out of my depth.

Yesterday, I was just a CIA languages geek, safe behind a desk. I thought I wanted a taste of the action.

Then I met him. Luka. Arms dealer. Russian mafia. A man who'll kill to get what he wants. And he wants me.

Now I'm on a plane to Moscow with orders to "accidentally" run into him again. Seduce him. Sleep with him.

I can’t control myself when I’m near him.

And if he finds out who I really am, I'm dead.

Seduced is a hot little number, with a geeky CIA agent and a charismatic but dangerous Russian arms-dealer.

My Seduced review:

Thanks to her great knowledge of Russian, Arianna was hired by the CIA straight out of college, and now she spends her days listening to bugged phone conversations made by various criminals that are in the CIA’s sight. Seduced did seduce me, Arianna is the geeky, quiet character who really wants more in life. Still struggling with flash-backs and nightmares after an accident two years prior, she lives with one of her co-workers, and spends all her time at work, or cooking. Luka is a dangerous Russian arms-dealer, and most of his phone conversations are crude phone sex with one of his current girl-friends. Arianna starts dreaming of Luka rather than having her recurring nightmares, and suddenly, she is thrust out into field-work and meets Luka in New York.

Having accomplished her first assignment, Arianna is then sent to Moscow, where she’s supposed to try to become Luka’s new girlfriend. Seduced is hot and fast-paced, and it’s very easy to feel the edge of danger that surrounds Luka. However, he is utterly irresistible to Arianna in many ways. The fact that he is strong, big and seemingly cold draws her in when she is persuaded it should make her recoil from him.

Written in first person, past tense, from Arianna’s perspective, Seduced is a great start to this new serial by Newbury, and I look forward to continuing with Conflicted and Betrayed.

Some of my favorite Seduced quotes:

I couldn’t imagine it, but when I listened to Luka’s calls, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I couldn’t stop thinking about a bad man who’d… use me.
Roughly.
I needed to get out more.

This guy was beautiful. Savagely, brutally beautiful, like mountain peaks that have been shaped by wind and rain.

The kiss went on and on, dark heat soaking down from my lips to my core… and I drank it down hungrily.
