Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #289
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
I got a book from Edelweiss – Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey – but it doesn’t have a cover yet. It’s due to be released in April 2020 by Gallery Books.
The Sunday Post #229 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
Apart from working, and information sessions at Uni, it’s been fairly quiet here. It’s been really hot, too, but that’s supposed to change from next week.
This Week’s Puppies in Action:
I am absolutely exhausted! Having to get up at 6am every day and having a very active schedule takes some getting used to! I love being back to work, though, meeting new (and some not new) students, seeing my colleagues again, and just teach my little heart out makes me happy.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
I finished The Golden Spider, it did not disappoint at all!
That’s good! Books that live up to our expectations are awesome 🙂
We had a bit of a break from the heat this week, but then it snapped back by the end of the week! I’m ready for fall weather myself! I hope your school year goes well, sounds like it’s off to a good start!
Nice new reads too! New to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!
My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Fall weather is awesome!
Thanks for stopping by Jessica 🙂
This is why I want two dogs so I can watch them cuddle together. So adorable! ^_^
Yes! I love that they enjoy cuddle time 🙂
Enjoy your books, and hopefully you will be less exhausted after you’ve settled into the new school year.
I’ll get into the rhythm fairly soon, I’m sure. It’s also tiring in the beginning trying to remember all the new names 🙂
When I was a teacher, those first few weeks back were tough. Glad to hear you are enjoying your return to work though. The pups are too cute!
Yeah, it’s hard to get back into the flow, but the good thing is that it doesn’t take too long 🙂
A quiet week is just the thing and glad you had a good time seeing new and old faces at work and uni. The puppies do look sweet cuddled together.
Have a good week, Lexxie!
I do look forward to a more quiet week next week, because after that, everything will take off. Thanks for stopping by Sophia!
It’s started to really cool down here- at least this past week it did. Hope you get a break from the heat soon. And glad your teaching year is starting off good! Hope you have an amazing weekend!!
YAY for cooling down Greg 🙂
I hope you are able to put your feet up a bit this weekend and glad you are really enjoying being back in the classroom – it’s a job that can eat you up if it stops being fun. Have a great week, Lexxie:)
That’s true, Sarah. It’s important to enjoy going to work, that’s for sure!
Lucky you for waking up at 6! I can’t wait to move so I can wake up at that time. I’ll be so happy.
You have to get up even earlier than me? I feel like it’s the middle of the night at 6, especially because it’s still dark out.
We are supposed to get cooler weather around here too. I´ll wait and see what happens. Besides a bad surprise a few days ago, I feel like life is not nice at the moment. Well, there will – hopefully – be better times again. Have a great time!
I can’t wait for the cooler weather, Vi.
I hope you will feel like life is nice again very soon! Sending you hugs and love <3
Glad you are enjoying teaching! It cooled off a bit here but the heat is back in full force now! I’m so over it.
I’m glad I’m enjoying the teaching as well 😀 It’s nice to wake up in the morning being happy about going in to work!
Ha yes back to school takes some time to get used to it Lexxie! But soon you’ll be used to that schedule!
Yes, I will, thank goodness 🙂
Looks like you have had a busy week there, hopefully you will adjust to the new schedule soon there. I hope you enjoy Play It Safe…I still need to read that one.
Yeah, but busy can be nice, too. As soon as I’ve found my flow I’m sure it’s going to be great 🙂
Your pups are so adorable! I love when you post photos of them. I hope the temperatures cool down soon. Have a lovely week!
I’m glad that your job makes you happy. I hope you settle into the early starts and busy days again quickly!
I go back to full work weeks after working 3 days a week during the summer and I’m not looking forward to it one bit! :/
Glad you’re enjoying being back at work, even if you’re not thrilled with the early mornings. 🙂

I’m so glad it’s good to be back to work and all even though it is an adjustment with the new schedule. I hope you get settled into it and continue to enjoy seeing everyone. Have a great week and enjoy some wonderful books.
Teach your little heart out! It’s wonderful to have a job you love so much, Lexxie:) And the pups have the right idea:)
