Weekend Wrap-up #282 – Almost Vacation

Posted 22 June, 2019 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 31 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #282

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #222 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

My students had their very last oral exams on Tuesday this week, and I’m probably as happy as they are that it’s over. Only a few days of meetings next week, and I’m off to Spain for a month. I can hardly wait – it’s been a long and stressful school year, that’s for sure.

We had a party for three of my colleagues who are retiring next week, and the sunset was so beautiful I just had to share it:

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Freddy is always happy when he can run for a bit 🙂
Hercules almost looks a bit wolfish here 🙂

Sam @ We Live and Breathe Books has a great discussion post about Required Reading.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

Yay for one week left, a gorgeous sunset and a month in Spain! Parental Guidance looks fun.
The dogs look happy to be outside for their walk. 🙂

    One more week, Lexxie!!! 🙂

Congrats on wrapping up the semester, I KNOW how you feel about being as happy (if not more so!) than the kids! A month in Spain sounds blissful, wish I could join you ? but soon I’ll see you here in Texas!! Yay!! Can’t wait. Big hugs ????

I have Mrs Everything with me too. I need to get that. I am glad your academic year is coming to an end already and you are taking a vacation. I hope you have a great week ahead.

  6. I’m aware that this has been a long exhausting year for you – so I’m very happy it’s finally coming to an end for you… I have until the middle of July until I can properly put my feet up. I hope the coming week is a nice cruise downhill towards the holidays:)

YAY for Vacation! Glad you can get a break, you had a crazy year.
    Enjoy Spain! It sounds gorgeous!
I wish I was going to see you all in Texas this year. You are going to have to much fun!

Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss you lots and lots! <3

  8. Enjoy Spain!! I’m insanely excited for you and a little bit jealous! Fingers crossed it is the trip of you dreams and an unforgettable one at that. I’m so curious about Parental Guidance. Plus, I really can’t say no to those cute covers. Swoon.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to live somewhere that you can easily go to another country for vacation. So many places that I’ll never get to go. When I was your age though, I traveled all over the U.S. so that was something. Twice to Toronto too. I’m reading High Tide right now as well. Enjoy your week!

Wow! Love that sunset! So pretty!
Good luck with your last week of work. A month off to Spain sounds amazing. My three week vacation is almost done, we’ve been living with my mother in law while waiting for the key to our new home, and my husband has been working.. So I don’t really feel like I had vacation, but I did manage to read a little. 😀
Have a great week and happy reading!
