Weekend Wrap-up #283 – Vacation, Exam Results and Great Books

Posted 29 June, 2019 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 26 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #283

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #223 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I am (finally) on vacation for real! On Thursday morning, I worked, helping the final students get signed up for school for next year. Then, I went home, got our bags and my youngest daughter and off we went. It’s just the two of us in Spain until Monday or Tuesday, when my husband, the boys and the dogs arrive. It’s very nice and quiet 😉

I got my exam results yesterday, and I totally aced my exams, I’m SO very happy. It’s been a tough year between both teaching and learning – and it’s so relieving to see that all my efforts paid off. One more year to go for Uni, and I’ll have my master’s degree in secondary teaching.

Since the dogs aren’t with me, I’m sad to say I have no puppy pictures this weekend. I promise I’ll make it up to you next week 😉

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

Sounds like a nice time all around! Yay for vacations! I hope you all have a fantastic time!

Nice new reads too! I also picked up Nalini’s first mystery/thriller last week when I saw it was an immediate download with Edelweiss and I thought why not? I was curious about it anyway and this lets me read it with ease! Lol.

I hope you enjoy all of your lovely new reads and have a wonderful vacation!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    • Vacations are so necessary, Jessica! And I’m really happy I get a long one this summer.
I love Nalini Singh, and I hope I’ll enjoy her new story even if it appears to be very different from her ‘usual’ stories 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by!

Fun times and well deserved. Yay for being done for the summer, Lexxie.

You’ve got some good books in that haul to keep you busy, too.

  3. Congrats Lexxie! That’s awesome!!!!! Good for you. 🙂

And enjoy Spain. Sounds pretty good to me right about now haha!

Happy vacation, Lexxie! I saw the ARCs for A Madness of Sunshine, but I didn’t request it. Now I’m regretting that decision…

  5. I see a bunch of books up there I want to read, especially Dax and Superfan. I love hockey romances. How nice that you and your daughter had a little time to yourselves. I hope your vacation is amazing.

  6. It’s been forever since I’ve linked up and though I see you on SM I hadn’t know you’d hooked up with someone (website-wise I mean!!!).

And yay re the exam results! Happy holidays!

  7. Huge congratulations on your exam results, Lexxie. I knew you’d blast it. Spain girl time sounds fabulous! I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday. x

  8. Congrats on doing so well on your exams! You totally deserve that Spain getaway! I hope you and your family have a great time. 🙂

I totally need some Me time even during the vacation. I wish people would realize that soon. I hope you have a great time at Spain.

  10. Ooh, I’m excited to hear your thoughts on that Jana Aston title!! And I need to catch up on those reviews ASAP. I feel like I’m behind on EVERYTHING book blog related this week. Oops! I hope that your vacation is everything you want, and need, it to be!
