Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #269

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

Thank you, Atria Books and Netgalley, Belle Brooks, and Lisa Renee Jones 🙂

The Sunday Post #209 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This week, I’ve felt like a zombie! Long hours of work and Uni have made me half the woman I usually am… Thank goodness it’s the weekend! I need some rest – even if I also have some work to do with tests to grade, and lesson plans to finalize!
On Friday afternoon, one of my best friends stopped by for a couple of beers and some great conversations, and that truly did wonders! It’s always great to have friends to talk us off the ledge, eh?
This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Freddy and Hercules really wanted to go outside, they’re showing me their *pretty-please* faces 🙂

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

Ah man, sorry the week beat you up like that, but yes, friends to hangout with are the best.
Nice haul there. Didn’t realize Sawyer Bennet had a new ‘Wicked’ series book out.
Have a relaxing weekend, Lexxie!
I think all my weeks will be like this until Easter… I just have to do my best to hang in there, you know?
Yeah, I got an e-mail from Amazon to remind me, and of course, I could do nothing but one-click that baby 😀
Have a nice weekend yourself, Sophia 🙂
My week was more of a drag and still stressful to boot! So much chaos going on at work, it’s insane and extremely stressful. It’s funny, sometimes when our dogs want IN they juts stare at the door from the outside, just waiting for us to come in. They do this when it starts to rain too. No one barks. Yet when they want out you know they’ll bark/howl saying, “Hey! Get down here! Let me out!” Lol.
Nice new reads though! All new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them all!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Stressful weeks are the bane of my existence these days. I’m counting down the days until Easter vacation! Just like my students do 🙂

It won’t really get better until the beginning of April, but I’ll get there for sure 🙂 Have a great week yourself, Melanie!

Hope you get to recharge over the weekend!
Thanks Jonetta. I did nothing at all yesterday, but today, I do have some work to do 🙂
Friends are golden! And sometimes show up at just the right time. 🙂
Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend Lexxie!
This is so true!

I’m so jealous of the K.A. Tucker book right now. She’s such a good author. Your dogs picture is very sweet. Always enjoy their pictures. Sorry life has been so stressful. Friends are definitely the best for weeks like that. Hope next week is better for you!
I can’t wait to read it, Lorna! I love her, too, she’s one of my favorite authors.

I think this is the first week I haven’t been exhausted all week so I hope you get to rest up over the weekend. Enjoy your new reads!
Thanks Anne. I was pretty good at doing nothing yesterday, so I do have to work some today. But I really needed a break.
The new Tucker book looks really good. I can’t wait to see what you think. Your pups are such good subjects. They pose so nicely for you.
I love Tucker! Her books always hit the right spot.
The pups were funny last week – so impatient to go out into the rain and the mud 😮
Your books look so tempting…and I know what you mean about how great conversations can do wonders. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I think they look tempting, too, Laurel-Rain 🙂
I hope you’re able to recharge this weekend Lexxie. And you’re right.. Sometimes chatting with great friends or just hanging with them can do wonders! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!
Friends are life savers at times! And I was able to relax and take it easy yesterday. Which means there’s some work to do today, but I’ll still try to take it easy today, too 🙂
You are so lucky to get Say you Still Love me!!! The ARC is only “wish for it” here.
It would probably be ‘wish for it’ for me, too, but I’m on Tucker’s review team, so I got a widget 🙂 I hope you’ll be able to get your wish!
I feel your hours on long hours and zombification this past week. Here’s hoping next week is a better one!
You got some nice new books at least. 🙂
Zombification is a perfect word for how I feel, Nicci, I’m stealing it 🙂
And you’re right, I did get some great books, plus it’s the weekend.
Meeting old friends is always awesome right? A friend from my Kindergarten days got married recently and I got to meet all my other friends too. I hope you have great week ahead.
Yup, good friends are so important for my mental health! Just chatting about anything that comes into our minds 🙂 Thanks, Gayathri!
This week was rough for me too! Glad you had a good friend to share the burden and lighten the load!
Sorry your week was rough, too, Samantha! Here’s to next week being better for both of us <3
Sorry you have such a rough week.I hope this one is better or at least less likely to make you a zombie!
Friends are so good to have, I don’t have any that live in my area to hang with, why are you all so far away! lol
I hope you have a great week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! xx MISS YOU!!! oxoxox
Thanks Michelle! I hope I won’t be zombified this week, too! I need a small break, that’s for sure.
Friends are so important. And I do have quite a few around here now, since I’ve lived here for a very long time. However, I don’t have much time to see them. It was great that my friend had the time to come to my house, because I was just too exhausted to want to go anywhere.
I miss you, too! SO much! <3 <3 <3
Aww, the dogs are very cute in that photo. I hope you get some rest this weekend!

Boy do I understand the burn out! We had spring break this week and I NEEDED it! I wouldn’t mind one more week LOL! I’m glad you had a friend to stop by and help you unwind a bit – we all need those moments. Good luck this week, I hope it’s less stressful and the weekend has helped you unwind a bit. MIss you bunches! {{HUGS}}
Sorry you are still struggling with such a heavy workload, Lexxie:(. I hope you are able to decompress during the weekends till it’s all over… Take care!
Time with friends is definitely a good thing, Lexxie. And the pups look adorable as ever:)
Enjoy your weekend of rest!
Have a great reading week and please stop by
Shelleyrar @ Book’d Out
I was SO ready for this weekend too. It wasn’t long enough though. I could have used another day for sure! Take it easy and get some ME time!
How can you ever say no to those faces. Sure hope you got to rest and recharge this weekend!
I hope you had a really relaxing weekend. Seeing friends and getting a chance to talk things out is always nice. Your dogs are adorable. Love them. 🙂

Definitely good to have friends come by!
