Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #270

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #210 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

My birthday was this past Thursday, and I had a great day with my family (after work…) where my husband cooked a delicious meal, and we had cake and everything.

Here’s my birthday cake, with candles and all 🙂

We also saw some big changes in the yard this week – with flowers blooming, and the grass becoming green once more. It really feels nice to leave winter behind, even if it’s rather cold during the nights still.

Our plum tree is in bloom, and it looks so nice!

Because it’s my birthday week, I’m doing a giveaway – because sharing is caring 🙂

  1. Spring is on the way! And I love seeing stuff starting to bloom, even if we’re not seeing much of it yet here- but I have seen a few green shoots pushing their way up, so it can’t be long now! And happy birthday Lexxie!!!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!!

So happy Spring is here! The weather in Italy has been crazy so warmer temperatures are much appreciated. Also, it’s nice to walk around and see some color

Neat that signs of spring came with your birthday. 🙂 That cake looks great and I love that you had a nice family party.

Happy Belated Birthday!!! I hope your day was amazing!! And yay for spring! I feel like we’re slowly headed that way. While it was still pretty cold in the mornings our temps have been above freezing, even in the morning! Though 34 is still pretty brisk! LOL!

Nice new reads too! All new to me ones, though I did order a special copy of Kim Harrison’s book because I couldn’t help myself! I love her books! I hope you enjoy all of your new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

Happy Birthday! I’m so glad for spring to finally get here! It does bring in tons of storms here in TX which freak me the hell out. I’m scared we’re going to get hit with tornadoes. At least everything will turn green again! Hope you have a great week!

  6. It looks like a great birthday. I’m glad to see you got Written in Red and hope you enjoy that gift soon! We are also getting blooms but are around freezing at night. But it’s much better than freezing day AND night. You seem to be moving into more audiobooks, which I find an easy way to up my reading now that I’m used to them. Have a great week!

  7. Everything is growing and blooming here too. The pollen is crazy. LOL I’m so excited to see the end of winter. Happy Birthday, Lexxie!

  8. Happy Birthday Lexxie. Sounds like you had a fun day.
I’m so happy the day are getting lighter and warmer. I’m done with wearing my winter coat. LOL!!
Have a great week and happy reading!

  9. Happy birthday! That is a beautiful cake!

I’m glad your weather is spring-ing up there. It’s spring-ing up here, too. The flowers here are amazing. I keep meaning to travel around and take photos.

I live (in my heart) in France, but I guess I’d have to admit for the sake of your giveaway that my feet walk the roads of Texas.

  10. We might FINALLY be getting into spring the next two weeks is about upper 50s/60s but we need to get over a few days of 40s before that happens. I am just done with the cold for now. I want a little big warmer weather just not summer weather.

Happy Birthday again! <3 I am glad you had a great day and the cake looks yummy! 🙂

I hope you have the best week ever, Lexxie! Miss you tons! Happy Reading! xx

  12. It is lovely to see blossom start to bloom and all those spring flowers making an appearance. Happy birthday for Thursday – that cake is something to behold… I hope the coming week is a good one, Lexxie.

  13. Naomi @ Naomi’s Reading Palace

Glad you had a nice birthday Lexxie! It’s always better when someone else cooks!
Enjoy your reads! I still need to read Anne Bishop. Wished I lived in Europe 😉

Wishing you a GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sorry I missed it, I’m so not with it these days! Sounds like it was great 🙂 And does that gift of Written in Red mean you haven’t read it?!? GASP! With how prolific you are I would have assumed you’d read it. I haven’t read the others, but it’s a great start to a series and I’m sure in no time you will have read it and then read the rest, before me lol!

    Have a great week 🙂 {{HUGS}}

  15. Ooh your tree is beautiful! I’m so ready for it to finally be Spring. I mean, it is technically. I just need the weather to get with it.

    Happy Belated Birthday!!!
