Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #268
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you William Morrows Paperbacks and Edelweiss! I can’t wait to start the newest Jill Shalvis.
Can you believe the last installment in The Bone Witch is already out?
The Sunday Post #208 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
It’s my second week back at uni, and I’m dead tired! I just don’t know how I’m going to be able to hang on until the end of May. On Mondays, for example, I teach in the morning, then, in the afternoon and evening, I have class at uni – until 8pm. I’m utterly exhausted. So of course, that makes it really difficult to fall asleep in the evening. *sighs*
It’s been a good week, though. My students are really getting into our literature classes. My kids are all doing great. And the puppies are good, too. Of course, I still manage to read, because without that, I’d be completely lost 🙂
This Week’s Puppies in Action:
Freddy and Hercules love napping, and I have tried all week to actually nap with them.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

My schedule is no where near the busyness of yours and I’m exhausted. This week is our spring breaks so I’ve been lazy. I’d never make it without reading either. I hope you can make moments of peace for yourself, as you go. Maybe you get a few days at Easter, like my daughter’s classes?
I want to get Lemon Sisters on audiobook. You’ll see I hauled big this week again though. Yikes!
I’m glad you got some time off, Anne! We have ten days off for Easter (which is only 6 weeks away) and that is going to be awesome! I feel like my students – counting down the days until the next vacation.
I hope you’ll get your hands on Lemon Sisters in audio format.
Have a great weekend 🙂
Oh those are long days! Glad that it’s going well though at uni, and that you’re still finding some time to read. 🙂
The Shadow Glass cover is so awesome.
Yeah, I don’t know why they do this to us! All we can do is to try and get some rest when we can 🙂
I agree, that cover is gorgeous! I think I need to get the whole trilogy in paperbacks 🙂
Whew! Yes, that is a long day even if you get an extra nap in on Sundays to help. Hopefully, the lit classes will continue to go well with the kids, too.
The Lemon Sisters looks fun.
Have a restful weekend, Lexxie!
Naps will be my savior this semester, I think.
I go away for one weekend and you two are whipping through all this? Gosh!
Uh… yeah, especially Brandee has been very busy blogging this week. Thank goodness she’s around to pick up my slack!
That’s the problem with being chief cook and bottle washer for my blog – no one to take up the slack when I can’t post or check out other blogs!
Yeah, this is one reason why we decided to merge our blogs. We had less time to do so, but we really wanted to continue. And now, we have time both for the blog and for other things.

hahah. i totally skipped bone witch and went to heart forger instead.. what an idiot I was!! oh well. can’t wait for the last book
Really? Are you going to go back and read The Bone Witch?
Twitter: ailynk
I am going to have to. I missed a lot!!
I can’t wait to hear what you think of it!
OOh nice new reads! I sadly couldn’t get into The Bone Witch series, but I’ m glad you’re enjoying it!
Yikes. Mondays sound like a bear! I always felt exhausted as a student when my first class was at 7 or 8 in the morning nad the last one wasn’t until 3. And there was usually only one class or two classes between them! But since my university had a large commuter intake, I never wanted to leave and lose my parking spot! I did once and learned my lesson and for the rest of my 4 years there I stayed in the building all day! LOL.
Hope you are able to sneak in some reading this week and have a GREAT week!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I didn’t love the first book in the series, Jessica, but the second was awesome. And now, I can finally read the third one. I hope it’ll be a good one, too!
Thanks for stopping by!
I need to read The Shadowglass ASAP. I’ve had it for a few weeks now but I’ve been reading other books. Definitely need to make some time for it. I loved the other two books so much! ♥
I have a couple of other books I should read first, but I’m glad I have it! I hope we’ll both enjoy it, Stephanie!
I still haven’t read even the first book of the Bone Witch! I remember when it first came out and I really liked the premise 🙂
Oh you so should, Sofia! This series is really well done!
As if Mondays weren’t tough enough, now your schedule is making them even tougher. Hang in there! I am excited about The Lemons Sisters. The last last Wildstone book more than exceeded my expectations, and I am hoping for more of that.
I know, right? At least everything feels a bit lighter in the spring semester, as the days become longer and it’s no longer dark when we leave class in the evening 🙂
I agree, the last Wildstone book was awesome, I can’t wait to dig in to The Lemon Sisters 🙂
I can relate to your exhaustion, having also had work by day and classes at night…when my kids were young. Enjoy the breaks when they come…and your books. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

That does sound like a tough schedule. I hope it gets easier for you. Have a great week.

I’m so glad I’m finished with school…and work!

I hope you enjoy your books!

Those are looong days! I hope that you manage to get a break soon, Lexxie – don’t keeping pushing forward until you make yourself ill – I know of what I speak:(.
I LOVE how you twisted your long days and rough week into a positive! That is really what counts the most! <3
I hope this week isn't too crazy for you and you are able to relax a little!
Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss you lots! oxox
I could look at your Freddy/Hercules pictures all day – so cute. Thank you for sharing them with us. Keep your head up, you can do it and May is not that far away, right? So there is a light at the end of the tunnel *smile*
Have a great week. Happy Reading!
Sleeping puppies are so enjoyable – especially when you need a break. Man, Shalvis really cranks out the books. Hope you love her new one!
I’m not sure I can make it to may and I am NOT taking classes at uni! I just have to teach. We don’t have spring break until the end of April and it feels so far away!! Hopefully you get to nap with the puppies soon!
I agree with your reading habits, without them I would be so lost too. I hope you have a better week ahead, Lexxie!
I’m glad your students are really getting into your literature classes. I loved teaching literature at my homeschool co-op!
Whew! You sure had a busy week! Glad your classes are doing well!
Woah, that is one busy day. You can do it though!!! I’m glad that your students are enjoying the classes at least. And aw, your dogs are too cute. Mine loves naps too.

My goodness. Those are some long days! I’m glad you can escape with a good book now and then. I bet snuggling up with the pups would help you drift off. the sound of my dog’s soft snores does it for me:)

Sorry your work schedule is so crazy. That is a long day! I am like you after a day like that I need time to unwind or I can’t sleep and thus begins a highly caffeinated cycle. Hang on ..summer is coming and I’ll buy you an umbrella drink in Dallas!
I’m all for umbrella drinks in Dallas, Kim! I just can’t wait to see you again 🙂
And my days will slow down once we’re in May – I totally got this 😀
