The Sunday Post #81 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This was a nice week, where I only had my normal schedule, with teaching and my own classes. And, my mom arrived on Thursday, just for the weekend. She’s leaving again this morning, but it was so nice to spend some quality time with her. And of course, she was so excited to meet Freddy, and to spend time with her grand-children 🙂

The weather has been all over the place this week! It was cool enough to have to get ice off the car in the morning, and t-shirt weather in the afternoon. Now, it’s raining so hard it’s almost dark outside 🙁 Oh well – one day, spring will come, right? Happy first day of May!

He loved staying on the deck in the sun, I’m sure it heated him up both from the sun and the deck himself. He spent quite a bit of time out there while it was warm.

  1. So very happy you have a nice week. Those pictures…That face!!! I want to squeeze that little puppy he is just adorable! My Dexter likes to find the sun and sleeps in the small spots that come into the window. In the summer at the shore house he loves to sleep outside when it isn’t to hot. It feels nice on their bones from what I understand.

Have a great week, Lexxie! I am counting down the days! See you soon!

    • I know, he is adorable, but he’s also a real little rascal sometimes. It’s really hard to tell him off, though, because then he looks at me with sad puppy eyes 😉
One week and one day, Michelle! See you soon xoxo

  2. Nothing like a visit from grandma! I bet Freddy is in love with her (and viceversa). Hope this week is as good Lexxie… Or better! BEA yay!

  3. That’s great you were able to visit with your mom! And omg, Freddy is just too cute. Love that second photo. My dog likes to sunbathe too. LOL

  4. The weather here has been ridiculous too, started out nice then rained a lot (including today). Pretty cool too, waiting for the warm weather. 🙂 Glad you had a nice visit.

Nice pics too, Freddy looks pretty relaxed there. 🙂

  5. Glad you had a less hectic week. As always, I love the pictures of Freddie and the “Elsewhere in the Blogoshere” list. I’m always finding new discussion posts or possibly one I forgot to go back to. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Gah!!! Freddy is too cute for words!!! The weather here has been up and down too. The joys of spring I suppose!! Have a great week!

  7. Freddy is just so adorable! I’ve never been a fan of small dogs, but I want to cuddle him up and play with him. I think you’ve changed my mind! I hope you have a good week!

  8. Grandma visits are the best! And Freddy continues to be adorable. 🙂 Mother Nature is off the rails this year. Someone needs to get her back on track.

  9. Adorable Freddy! And how great that your mom could visit…

I loved your post on Keeping Track of Ideas. Pretty notebooks and great organizational skills.

Enjoy your week…I am ogling Finding Audrey…I forgot about it for a bit, but now it’s on my radar again. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.

  10. It’s clearly been a great week – and I love the pics of Freddy. Hope the weather improves – although we haven’t had any snow or sleet showers today so that is an improvement over the rest of the week! Take care and have a fab reading week.

  11. It’s nice to have a week with your normal schedule. That’s neat your mom came to visit and meet Freddy. The weather has been weird here too, sunny one day, then cold another and then hail. And today the weather was really pretty and it seemed like the perfect spring day.

And Freddy is so adorable, he seems to enjoy his place on your deck in the sun. I always make me want to rub their bellies when pets lie like that, even though not all pets like it. Freddy looks so cute and adorable! I like seeing the Freddy pictures each week 🙂

    I hope you’ll have a great week!

    • It was great to have my mom here, and she was so happy to meet one of her dog’s offspring – that hasn’t happened before. I really hope the weather will continue to get milder now, I’m so ready for spring and summer!
Freddy loves the sun, and he actually loves belly-rubs, too. He’s so cute when he does that.
Have a great week yourself, Lola.

  12. Glad to hear your weekend with your mom was good. I also love spending time with my mom and catching up. It always makes me feel better.
What a cute pictures of Freddy again. He is getting big too.
We had a beautiful sunny day here today.. I’ll try to send some sun to you! 😛
Have a great week and Happy Reading!

  13. It’s great to hear you’ve had a wonderful time with your mom. I always have a blast with mine when I get to see her. Freddy is so cute! I love his fur. He also seems well behaved, or is that an act? LOL! Sorry the weather hasn’t been as great as everything else seems to be. Have a great week!

  14. That’s a bit how our spring is going, too. I won’t be putting the winter clothes away until June, I’m sure. 🙂 Adorable pics!

How fun to get a mom visit! I look forward to mine in July.

    Have a good week, Lexxie!

  15. I hate when the weather is all over the place! It makes getting dressed in the morning a serious challenge. It sounds like a nice visit with your Mom! The picture of Freddy rolled over on his back is just too cute! I just want to snuggle him! Have a great week!

  16. Am still loving the Freddy pics and you sound so in love with him! I love the one of him sprawled out!

Nice to have a visit from your mother as well. I’m spending the weekend with mine at the moment!

  17. Glad you had a great visit with your mom. I love to visit with mine. Freddy is absolutely adorable. I am intrigued by the K.A. Tucker book. Have a great week.

  18. I’m so glad to hear that you got to spend some quality time with your mom Lexxie! It’s always nice to spend time with family. Awww Freddy is so cute! Thank you so much for sharing my co-blogging post. Have a lovely week ahead, Lexxie!

  19. I’m glad you had a great week and that the visit with you mom was so wonderful. I’m sure Freddy and the kids enjoyed her as much as she did them. 🙂 Hopefully it’s stopped raining. The sun is out here today – after 4 days of snow. Yay! 7 days?!? I’ll see you in 7 days!!! **BIG HUGS**
