Lifeblood didn’t fully live up to my expectations, as Ten didn’t seem the same, strong, independent girl she was in Firstlife. What a twisty turny mystery Sting was – there was no way for me to guess the who, the why or the how, and so the pages turned fast! It really is difficult to talk about Sting and not give anything away, because the mystery is so multi-layered and the characters kept their cards so very close to the chest. Winter Moon was like an epilogue to the whole Seven series, and I felt like I was visiting with friends I hadn’t seen in a long time. As always, Poole narrated some of my favorite shifters to perfection, and Winter Moon included all of the characters that are part of the Weston pack. Poole’s voices managed to easily distinguish them all, and made my experience of a holiday without electricity a really good one. Some chapters gave a quick view into one of the main couple’s lives, while others involved the pack as a whole. Review: Under Pressure – Lori Foster

Under Pressure was very slow-paced, and for quite a bit of it, the only characters present were Leese and Cat. The mystery and the suspense was well done, though, and, of course, Foster’s writing impeccable. While I found the suspense and the mystery part of Under Pressure to be well executed, I also found it to be a very slow read. It picked up a bit in the middle, then slowed back down until near the end. Accidentally on Purpose continues in the same vein as the prior Heartbreaker Bay books, and the romance made me melt into a puddle. This series is filled with feel-good romance, great friendships and off the chart chemistry! Accidentally on Purpose is sweet, quirky, hot and funny, I had a really good time getting to know Elle and Archer better. Max is hands down the most swoony of the hockey players in Cold Fury Hockey, like a knight in shining armour, but with a wicked humor. I think Max wins the book boyfriend of the year prize for 2016 (as I read this last year).
