Layers Peeled (Layers Trilogy #2) – Lacey Silks

Layers Peeled (Layers Trilogy #2) – Lacey Silks

*I received a free ARC of Layers Peeled from My Lit Publishing via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* Layers Peeled continues shortly after Layers Deep ended, and Tristan and Allie have lots of adventures – most in the bedroom or while naked – and have to figure out how to deal with some new parameters of their relationship. The story in Layers Peeled is quite silly, but since it’s a very quick and hot read, that’s OK. Allie’s pregnancy hormones are a total hoot, she is in a more or less constant state of arousal, much to Tristan’s pleasure and amusement. Of course, with both of them having some ghosts in their past, life is never completely nice […]

Giveaway, Blogtour Review: The Pack or the Panther – Tara Lain

*I received a free ARC of The Pack or the Panther from Enchantress of Books Blogtours in exchange of an honest review* The Pack or the Panther is a sexy paranormal romance about a gay future alpha-wolf and a strangely aloof and beautiful panther who both have some important decisions to make about their lives in order to find any kind of happiness at all. When Cole’s parents simply inform him of his impending marriage to the neighboring pack’s daughter who is also a future alpha-wolf, he tries to tell them it’s a really bad idea, it’s not as if they don’t know he’s gay, but saving the pack is more important to them than Cole’s happiness. Cole, too thinks […]

Review: The Professional Part 2 (The Gamemaker #0.2) – Kresley Cole

Review: The Professional Part 2 (The Gamemaker #0.2) – Kresley Cole

*I received a free ARC of The Professional Part 2 from Pocket Books via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* The Professional Part 2 picks up at the exact same moment that part 1 stopped. It’s extremely hot! Of course, that’s only in part because Sevastyan and Natalie are in a sauna… From the very start, it is clear that these two are meant to be together, but danger is lurking. Sevastyan is just as secretive in The Professional Part 2 as he was before, and Natalie is starting to become a little frustrated with him. He’s also very high-handed, thinking Natalie should dance to his every little tune, but she won’t have that – and drama ensues.  The […]

Review: The Wicked Confessions of Lady Cecelia Stanton – Viveka Portman

Review: The Wicked Confessions of Lady Cecelia Stanton – Viveka Portman

*I received a free ARC of The Wicked Confessions of Lady Cecelia Stanton from Harlequin Enterprises Australia via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* The Wicked Confessions  of Lady Cecelia Stanton is a deliciously scandalous tale, and it was even more so because it is set in regency England! This hot little number shows that both the lady and the lord have a knack for finding sexual pleasure where they can. Of course, Cecelia starts out as the perfect newly-wed virgin, and she actually thinks her new husband broke her the first time they had sex. And even if that makes me mean, I have to admit it did make me smile a little. The good thing for Cecelia, […]

Review: Layers Deep – Lacey Silks

Review: Layers Deep – Lacey Silks

*I received a free ARC of Layers Deep from MyLit Publishing via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* Layers Deep is a quick read, filled with many sexy scenes, as well as an entertaining story and fun characters. It is still a little bit difficult for me to review, because in some of the very moments when I should have stayed glued to my kindle, I was kind of jarred out of the moment. Allie is more or less analyzing every single touch Tristan puts on her body when they are going at it – and instead of getting me all fired up, it kind of distracted me. I kept thinking it couldn’t be all that great if she […]

Review: What She Didn’t Know (Vapid Vixens #1) – I. Ronik

Review: What She Didn’t Know (Vapid Vixens #1) – I. Ronik

*I received a free ARC of What She Didn’t Know from I. Ronik Literature via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* What She Didn’t’ Know is the perfect erotic romance parody! I am still howling with laughter, and I am going to have a very hard time choosing which quotes to share for this one – I’d rather just tell you all that if you enjoy erotica, this parody will have you laugh harder than a book has in ages.  I actually have six pages of highlights from only 36 pages of story! What She Didn’t Know is filled with most of the clichés romances and erotica sometimes abound with, and it made for hilarious reading. Cassie has been […]

Review: The Professional: Part One (The Game Maker #1) – Kresley Cole

*I received a free ARC of The Professional from Pocket Star via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* The Professional is a scorching hot short story about Natalie, who has been searching for her biological parents with the help of a private investigator in Russia for the past few years, without letting her adoptive mother know about it at all. A PhD student with several jobs to make ends meet, Natalie is a pretty serious girl, until that one night in a bar, where a dangerous-looking man comes in and sits down not far from her. For the first time ever, her manalyzer isn’t working the way it usually does, and she walks up to him to say hello. […]

Review: Manic (Rook and Ronin #2) – J.A. Huss

Review: Manic (Rook and Ronin #2) – J.A. Huss

Manic continues shortly after the end of Tragic, and I continue to love Rook and Ronin! The writing is still awesome, and I can’t get enough of their story, their journey and the way the both grow as characters, even if they do have some slip-ups when it comes to being a relationship still. They both need to get used to sharing their feelings, and I was actually a little surprised that Rook seemed better at this than Ronin. Rook is starting her photo shoot – and her reality TV show for Spencer and the body paint for his custom made motorcycles. Unfortunately, Rook had not learned her lesson about reading the whole contract and maybe sleep on it before […]

Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard #1) – Christina Lauren

Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard #1) – Christina Lauren

*I received a free ARC of Beautiful Bastard from Gallery Books via Edelweiss in exchange of an honest review* Beautiful Bastard starts out with angry sex in the very first chapter. Chloe is talking to herself quite a lot in her own head, which some might find endearing, but I found that pretty annoying. For the first two thirds of the story, I thought both Chloe and Bennett were pretty much one-dimensional. The only thing we get to know about them is that they love to tell each other off – just before having rough sex in inappropriate places. Review: Beautiful Scars – Shiloh Walker

Review: Beautiful Scars – Shiloh Walker

*I got a free ARC of Beautiful Scars from the author in exchange of an honest review* Marc has known Chaili since they were kids, and for the most time, he only saw her as his sister’s best friend. Chaili on the other hand has loved him since she was a teenager, and finally, they find each other again. Beautiful Scars start with Marc finally coming home for longer than usual, and he quickly meets Chaili – but not exactly under the circumstances he’d like. Marc is a famous singer, and Chaili has been divorced for three years. They are both scarred, Chaili both physically and mentally, while Marc has scars mostly on his soul. This story is very well […]
