He makes the rules...
Mafiya enforcer Aleksandr "The Siberian" Sevastyan’s loyalty to his boss is unwavering, until he meets the boss’s long-lost daughter, a curvy, tantalizing redhead who haunts his mind and heats his blood like no other. Ordered to protect her, Sevastyan will do anything to possess her as well—on his own wicked terms.

Rules are made to be broken...
PhD student Natalie Porter had barely recovered from her first sight of the breathtakingly gorgeous Sevastyan before the professional hit man whisks her away to Russia, thrusting her into a world of extreme wealth and wanton pleasures. With every day she spends under his protection, she falls deeper under his masterful spell.

Are you ready to play?
Yet all is not as it seems. To remove Natalie from an enemy’s reach, Sevastyan spirits her into hiding. From an opulent palace in Russia to the decadent playgrounds of the mega-wealthy in Paris, the two lovers will discover that even their darkest—and most forbidden—fantasies can come true...

*I received a free ARC of The Professional Part 2 from Pocket Books via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review*

The Professional Part 2 picks up at the exact same moment that part 1 stopped. It’s extremely hot! Of course, that’s only in part because Sevastyan and Natalie are in a sauna… From the very start, it is clear that these two are meant to be together, but danger is lurking.

Sevastyan is just as secretive in The Professional Part 2 as he was before, and Natalie is starting to become a little frustrated with him. He’s also very high-handed, thinking Natalie should dance to his every little tune, but she won’t have that – and drama ensues.  The drama comes from all sides at once, and Natalie’s whole life changes completely once more in so little time. She doesn’t know how to deal with it all, even though Sevastyan stands by her.

The change of scenery in The Professional Part 2 is welcome, Paris is a beautiful city, but Natalie doesn’t get to see very much of it. However, being in a place she’s read about and dreamed about helps her keep her sanity. Especially because Sevastyan continues to be just as withdrawn as always. Until she finds the ultimate way to get back her ruthless Siberian who will take what’s his, and has no qualms about it. But is Natalie really ready for him?

The Professional Part 2 is pretty fast paced, and there is a whole lot of action, both in and out of the bedroom. I would never be able to deal with everything Natalie had to deal with, that’s for sure. The writing is great, and Natalie grows in this installment. I agree with her, though, she needs to know more about Sevastyan – he is hiding the most important parts of herself, and I’m really hoping he will be able to open up at least a little in the next book. I was, however pretty much enraptured from start to finish! The hotness that is Natalie and Sevastyan continues to be scorching, and impossible to put down until I reached the end.

More reminders of how much pain his body had taken. Yet these scars didn’t detract from his attractiveness; just the opposite.

He’d deprived me of this world he’d create – where he was everything. What would he do next? How would he touch me?

In all these interludes with Sevastyan, I hadn’t been Natalie. I’d been Natalya.

When he finally broke away, leaving panting and shaken, he smirked. “Lie to yourself all you like, but you’ve definitely accepted me.” Masculine satisfaction emanated from him.

His expression turned to a look of fascination, again as if I were a creature he’d never seen in the wild before.

“Patience,” he intoned. Not exactly my strong suit. After all, impatience was a sibling to curiosity.

  1. I pretty much perked up after reading this “The Professional Part 2 is pretty fast paced, and there is a whole lot of action, both in and out of the bedroom. Good job to the author for thoroughly balancing the steamy and action scenes.

A lot of erotica these days usually lose their focus and just put their attention to the sex. I am glad that this one didn’t suffer that.

    I hope you’re having a good Thursday, Lexxie!<3

    • Oh, but Kresley Cole really knows how to write this kind of story! There is almost always a lot of action in her stories, and that’s why I love reading them 🙂

If there is only sex in a story, I get bored pretty fast. I need to read about something else as well.

Thanks for stopping by, Charlotte. Happy Thursday 🙂 <3

  2. I want to read this serial so bad but I think I’ll wait for Part 3 to purchase them all. Unless NetGalley finally approves me for both books, my requests are still pending! Sorry for the mini rant there, lol.

I was surprised when Kresley Cole decided to write a serial but from all the reviews I’ve read of Part 1, she is doing a good job with it. I’m glad that Part 2 didn’t disappoint either! Great review 🙂

    • A great serial for sure! And I usually don’t like serials that much. I hope Netgalley will come through for you, Amir 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I’m glad you enjoyed this installment just as much as the first, Lexxie. And I’m glad that Natalie grew in this one, as well. I’m with you in hoping Sevastyan opens up to Natalie some in the next one. That ought to help their relationship quite a bit. 😉 You have me intrigued with this series, my dear.

Have a great day, Lexxie!! *hugs*

    • Oh, but I do aim to intrigue, my dear 😉 Actually, this 2nd installment was better than the first. I was more into the story, and I just can’t wait for the third to be released!

Thanks for stopping by, Brandee. *hugs*

  4. I need to read these books! The sound so good! I love how they are filled with fast paced, filled with action, and secrets. I enjoy unraveling a good story. Great Quotes and I love getting lost in a beautiful setting like Paris! Wonderful Review 🙂

    • I hope you’ll get your hands on some Kresley Cole books soon, Silvia, and that you’ll enjoy them as much as I do 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Friday.

    • LOL, I actually kind of like that she isn’t holding back. And imagine all she’s been through in so little time – Sevastyan is the one fixture she has.

But I really need to get to know more about him, too. Even if Natalie doesn’t really care, I do 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by, Braine.
