Review: Love You So Hard – Tara Lain

Review: Love You So Hard – Tara Lain

Love You So Hard is a cute, short read about Craig and Jessie, and how Craig needed some encouragement to be more confident. Love You So Hard is a short, hot read, and knowing that it started with a photo and a prompt in the Goodreads M/M group makes feel all kind of awe for Ms. Lain here! There was both humour and hotness here, and part of the action was set in Laguna Beach, which makes me wonder if that’s how Love in Laguna started… As the story in Love You So Hard is only 76 pages, there is very little character development, and that’s why I gave it three stars rather than four. It’s still quite a feat […]

Review: Sugar Rush – Sawyer Bennett

Review: Sugar Rush – Sawyer Bennett

Oh my freaking goodness. Sugar Rush has left me with a thundering heart and completely out of breath! Bennett is a master at mixing erotica and suspense, and she truly proved that in Sugar Rush! All my feelings were invested, and I swear, Sela almost killed me at times. Both at the beginning and towards the very end, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to hurry up and read or if I needed a break from the emotional rollercoaster. Beck is an awesome character, too, and the way his and Sela’s relationship is getting stronger is so well done. I love that they are able to share everything with each other, even if they don’t always do it anyway. Fast […]

Review: Mr. Corporate – J. A. Huss

Review: Mr. Corporate – J. A. Huss

Mr. Corporate made me doubt what I thought I knew about the Misters, and I enjoyed that he was keeping his card so close to the chest he wasn’t even thinking about what they were. I really enjoyed Weston and what he brought to the story in Mr. Corporate, but Tori truly grated on my nerves. For almost the whole story, she went from hot to cold to scalding, and her reactions didn’t really make much sense to me. Even when I got to know her back story, I didn’t fully understand her or think she was justified in the way she treated Weston. The overall story and plot was awesome, though, and I found Weston to be great – […]

Review: Lessons in Pleasure – Victoria Dahl

Review: Lessons in Pleasure – Victoria Dahl

Lessons In Pleasure shows just how long we have come, as women, since the time at which this novel is set. Well written, hot and passionate – and even with such a short story, the characters were well fleshed out and relatable. Lessons in Pleasure is a novella set in the past, when ladies weren’t supposed to have any sexual pleasure, when men had their needs, and their wives were supposed to close their eyes and think of England. Women who were passionate were seen as eccentric at best – insane at worst, and always, always, men held the keys to their future. James really wanted his wife to like him, but he hadn’t the slightest idea how to make […]

Review: Something Nice – Tiffany Reisz

Review: Something Nice – Tiffany Reisz

Something Nice gives Søren and Nora’s fans a glimpse into 24 hours in their life. A glimpse that shows almost the full rainbow of their feelings for each other, all the love, the fear, the hate, the generosity… It’s really all there. Something Nice is a way for Reisz to give back to her readers! A free story about Søren and Nora; it was like Christmas in July. And it fulfilled a craving I didn’t even know was there until I started reading. As always, it is a treat to be part of the intimate relationship between the two protagonists, and I just sighed with pleasure at this story – it started out extremely hot and heavy… and ended on […]

Review: The Purest Hook – Scarlett Cole

Review: The Purest Hook – Scarlett Cole

While The Purest Hook was very well written, I found it to be more predictable than the prior stories in the series, and that took away from my overall enjoyment of the hotness that was Pix and Dred. From the first Second Circle Tattoo book, I’ve been in love with this universe, the rugged characters who have hidden depths, and the nicely paced way Ms. Cole has to deliver her stories. I was very curious about Pix and her backstory, and it was definitely dark and gritty, which, in turn made me fall even harder for her 🙂 There were parts of the story that were supposed to be mysterious, though, and those were things I figured out within very […]

Review : Mr Romantic – J. A. Huss

Review : Mr Romantic – J. A. Huss

Mr. Romantic is a little bit like a dark story, with characters you feel like you may have met before, and in which the big bad wolf isn’t a real character, but rather the characters’ past, getting ready to eat them all… My first reaction after I finished reading Mr. Romantic was ‘Holy mind fuck Batman!’ because that’s what this story was. Like Ivy, I never really knew if Nolan was serious or not and that kept me on the edge of my seat and made it quite hard to breathe at times. This story covers some very dark themes, even if a lot of the action is quite light-hearted. And I don’t think the sexual fantasy part of the […]

Review: The Bourbon Thief – Tiffany Reisz

Review: The Bourbon Thief – Tiffany Reisz

I’m not sure how Reisz does it – The Bourbon Thief has an amazing narrator who knows how to spin a story, and it’s like a mixture between a dark fairytale and a melancholy history lesson. The one and only progress update I made while I was reading The Bourbon Thief was this : This whole story has me on the edge of tears, there’s such a strong melancholy, or unfinished sadness here I can hardly stand it! And that feeling of being on the edge of tears stayed with me for the duration of the story – and I just couldn’t stop reading. Always needing to know what would happen next, I was completely mesmerized from start to finish. Reisz […]

Blogtour Review : Golden Dancer – Tara Lain

Blogtour Review : Golden Dancer – Tara Lain

Golden Dancer has some very strong characters that move the story forward in different ways, and I loved that there is a ballet dancer involved! Between Mac, the investigative reporter, Trelain, the Russian ballet dancer, and Daniel, the philanthropic billionaire who may or may not be a thief, Golden Dancer was filled with mystery, attraction and quite a bit of tension. And because both Daniel and Mac were interested in Trelain, the story moved forward in a way where it was impossible to see where things would go. Especially because Mac was sure that Daniel had stolen a dancer statue by using the help of a hacker. The mystery and the evident attraction between the three men were tangible, and […]

Review: Wicked Need – Sawyer Bennett

Review: Wicked Need – Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Need is HOT! And it’s also very tender. And there’s some danger and quite a bit of self-doubt. With Wicked Need, Bennett took the tension and the hotness up yet another notch! I felt both sorry for Cat, and was angry at her expense because of what she’d been through with her old-ass husband, and things didn’t exactly get better for her once he kicked the bucket, either. And I was so surprised by Rand’s knight in shining armour complex! He seemed so detached in the prior books in the Wicked Horse series, I wasn’t sure he had it in him to be so caring, even if I knew he wasn’t judgemental! He was the perfect champion for Cat, […]
