Dear Author,
I saw him at my local corner store when I stopped in for some soda after work. He was wearing that damn T-shirt and now I can't get it out of my head. I'm thirty-two years old and have never topped in my life. Guys seem to think I have a sign on my forehead that says “bottom only”. The one time I asked, it didn't go well. But now it seems I see this kid, he's twenty if he's a day, everywhere, and that T-shirt text is burned in my brain. I wonder...
Can be any genre you like, and as explicit as you like. I'm not too fussy, but a first time top should be fun.Photo Description:
The slim, taut torso of a young man from neck to hips wearing a T-shirt that says “I Would Bottom You So Hard”

This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Love Has No Boundaries" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story.
Love You So Hard is a cute, short read about Craig and Jessie, and how Craig needed some encouragement to be more confident.
Love You So Hard is a short, hot read, and knowing that it started with a photo and a prompt in the Goodreads M/M group makes feel all kind of awe for Ms. Lain here! There was both humour and hotness here, and part of the action was set in Laguna Beach, which makes me wonder if that’s how Love in Laguna started…
As the story in Love You So Hard is only 76 pages, there is very little character development, and that’s why I gave it three stars rather than four. It’s still quite a feat to be able to write a novella based on someone else’s prompt, though, and actually make the story make sense.
Of course, if you’re a Lain fan like me, you should pick up Love You So Hard just to enjoy her terrific brand of humour and her beautiful writing 🙂
Craig took a sip of his latte and forced himself to lean against the coffee shop wall and stare at his phone screen. If the guy didn’t come in five minutes, he had to leave and get to work.
This was it. his big hope and now it was gone. nothing was different. Nothing would ever change. Once again he’d let someone push his legs back and fuck him.
He froze. He’d know that voice anywhere. Craig opened his eyes and looked straight at a black T-shirt and the message that haunted him. ‘I Would Bottom You So Hard’. The words stretched across that lean, beautifully-muscled chest under a wide set of muscles.
Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
Oh short story there. Not reallt my genre I confess though.
That’s OK, Melliane 🙂
I really like the idea of how this story came to be. I think I might really like this story!
I love how this story came to be, too, Stephanie! So original. And truly amazing that Lain was able to make an actual story out of that.

the cover looks odd, but short story might as well be written explicit content only. I like mine with good background stories
There was a little bit of background, but not much. However, the author definitely did stay true to the prompt, Ailyn.

that’s good to know

This may be the most “forward” title and cover I’ve come across. LOL! I love that it was inspired by a photo and prompt. Glad you enjoyed it!
LOL yes, quite forward, I agree, Lekeisha.

Novellas are tricky, I always look at it from an entertainment perspective which obviously you were even if you only gave it three stars. 🙂
Oh it definitely entertained me, Braine. And three stars is kind of the middle right? I am in awe of Lain for being able to write a story based on a prompt like that.
