Review: Mr. Perfect – J.A. Huss

Mr. Perfect didn’t really work for me… I felt like it took far too long for the characters to let loose and help me get to know them. I never thought I’d have as much trouble with a Huss story as I had with Mr. Perfect to be frank. I had such trouble getting into the story, and I found it very difficult to get to know and connect with the main characters. I am not a huge fan of office romances, and this story started out not exactly like an office romance, but rather like an office sexcapade, where Mac held all the power, and Ellie just ended up letting him have his way. That was both a bit […]

Review: Rock – J.A. Huss

Review: Rock – J.A. Huss

My mind is blown! Completely, utterly blown. Rock is even more twisted than Huss’ other stories, and I was riveted to my kindle today, unable to stop reading until I got to the bottom of all the mysteries. Huss definitely blew me away with this story! Until the very end, I had no idea what was going on, or what would happen next, and I was just as anxious as Rock was to figure things out. There was so much heartache and darkness, but at the same time, RK was so driven. He was filled with red-hot anger at the beginning, and he really didn’t understand what was going on. And I didn’t either. However, I was immediately drawn into […]

Audio Review: FORD Taut / Slack – J.A. Huss

Audio Review: FORD Taut / Slack – J.A. Huss

Rutherford Aston is an ass, a creep, a freak… And he knows it! It’s just that he might not be as bad as he thinks when it comes down to it. I had forgotten what an ass Ford could be! Fucking Ford. He’s still my favorite guy in this series, though, and the narration made it even more so. The emotions were stronger, and hearing Duran’s voice being Ford was awesome! The pacing was well done, and I have to say I loved getting to know more about Ford, and meeting Sasha, Ashleigh and Kate was something I appreciated just as much the second time around. Seeing the lengths he would go to for his friends, while still thinking he […]

Review: Happily Ever After – J.A Huss

Review: Happily Ever After – J.A Huss

Fucking Huss! I cried so many happy tears during this novella! It was like coming home! Happily Ever After was like I had never left Rook & Ronin, Ford and Ashleigh, Spencer and Ronnie behind, reading other stories. And kids growing up too fast hit me in the chest – that is SO true. And I wish this novella was a boxed set of several full novels – I didn’t want to leave again. My Happily Ever After review: Re-visiting with the Rook and Ronin gang in Happily Ever After was like hanging out with really good friends I hadn’t had a chance to see for a while. And I loved how each of the couples shared some intimate Christmas […]

Review: Anarchy Found – J.A. Huss

Review: Anarchy Found – J.A. Huss

Anarchy Found is a deliciously crazy, fast-paced and action-packed ride! Secrets, extreme long-cons and a tiny dip of romance plus characters that are so damaged it’s a wonder they function at all! I loved every second of this read, every letter, ever word, every sentence, every paragraph, every page… you get my drift? Get this when it’s released next week – it’s amazing! My Anarchy Found review: It’s hard to say what genre Anarchy Found is, because there is so much going on! It could be a bit like science fiction. There is definitely a lot of mystery, and also it is for adults, somehow contemporary but possibly set in a not too distant future. Thrilling, suspense, erotic… yeah, it’s […]

Review: Eighteen – J.A. Huss

Review: Eighteen – J.A. Huss

I’m not even sure what I’m going to say about Eighteen! It’s dark. It’s pretty effed up, and it is also a pretty intense and filled with secrets. My Eighteen review: At the beginning of Eighteen, I got to meet Shannon, and most of the time, I enjoyed her. I didn’t really enjoy Mateo, though, because he was so alpha and controlling, when he knew that Shannon had been through hell and partly back already. He was also in a position of power, where Shannon could have felt as if she didn’t have a choice at all. She did have a choice, though, and she made it, even if she wasn’t sure about what to do, or how to deal […]

Audio Review: Tragic – J.A. Huss

Audio Review: Tragic – J.A. Huss

Tragic is one of my favorite Huss stories, and it was a treat to listen to the audio – the narrators brought the characters to life perfectly! My Tragic audioreview: At the beginning of listening to Tragic, I had a little trouble with the male narrator, especially because his French accent didn’t sound French at all, but also because he made a very squeaky voice when he was sharing something Rook said, but from Ronin’s point of view. The female narrator nailed it, though, and most of the chapters were from Rook’s perspective, so I was completely gone in the story very quickly. I read the whole Rook and Ronin series a while ago, and listening to Tragic brought some […]

Review: Sexy – J. A. Huss

Review: Sexy – J. A. Huss

Sexy is definitely a hot read, with characters who aren’t at all what they seem, and who are doing what they can to keep their secrets just that. My Sexy review: It’s not exactly a surprise for those of you who visit my blog regularly that I’m a huge Huss fan, every time she releases a new book, I’m waiting, impatient, hopping with excitement for what twists and turns she has prepared for her readers next. While Sexy has a very hot and pretty alpha-male main character in Fletcher, he is nothing like the other characters she’s written before. There is no feel of imminent danger surrounding him, rather he seems to have a lot of secrets, and to be […]

Review: Wasted Lust – J.A. Huss

Review: Wasted Lust – J.A. Huss

*I received a free ARC of Wasted Lust from the author in exchange of an honest and unbiased review* Wasted Lust is such a complex story about redemption, finding oneself, the meaning of life, love, loyalty, friendship and closure. My feels were all over the place! My Wasted Lust review: What can I say, apart from Huss definitely did it again! She got me engrossed in Sasha’s story from the first sentence, and I was practically on the edge of my seat for the duration of Wasted Lust. Complex characters, most of whom I already knew both from the Rook & Ronin series and its spinoffs and from 321, I was so happy to meet Sasha as a woman, and […]

Review: Meet Me in the Dark – J.A. Huss

Review: Meet Me in the Dark – J.A. Huss

Dark is only the beginning when it comes to Meet me in the Dark! Merc is even more twisted that I thought he was, and Sydney is so confused, broken and out of it she amazed me when she was able to show me she truly did have a backbone after all. My Meet Me in the Dark review: Book hangover V2.0 is what Meet Me in the Dark has given me! There are just so many things happening, and the twists and turns and psychological war Merc has going with Sydney is so above anything I’ve ever read I’m still reeling. And my feels, my poor, poor feels! From disgust to happiness, fear to elation, hope to desolation – […]
