“Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.
And never stop loving me between all of them.
Never stop, Charlie.
Never forget.”

Silas races against time as more truths unravel, while others twist tighter together. And now, the stakes are higher as Silas’ control slips and others begin to point fingers. Charlie is in trouble and he must be the one to bridge the chasm between their past and their present. Because somewhere between I love yous and Never Nevers and Never Agains, a truth they can't imagine, beckons to be found.

“Where are you, Charlie?”

Oh my goodness, Never Never is killing me! That is a flipping strong cliff-hanger right there, and I just don’t know if I’ll be able to wait for the next installment!

My Never Never review:

In Never Never Part 2, I got to know Silas a lot better, as he was the main narrator of the story. He was frantic in his search for Charlie, and the mystery and the suspense was truly palpable, until the very last word of the story! The character development was really well done, especially when taking into account that Silas didn’t even know who he was at the beginning of the story. However, as he followed his own clues, he started having some strong feelings that he was able to treat as a gut-feeling in his rapid quest for Charlie.

The mystery and the plot definitely grew more complex in Never Never Part 2 as well, and while it was a quite short book, it covered what needed to be covered, even if it completely left me hanging, wanting more, and clicking over to Goodreads to see when the next installment is due for release! Written in dual points of views from Charlie’s and Silas’ perspectives, most of the chapters followed Silas in this story, and that made the frantic search even more frantic.

If you’re looking for a quick suspense / mystery, Never Never should make its way to your TBR, but I think I’d recommend to wait until the last installment is released, just so you won’t be left feeling completely bereft and confused at the end.

Some of my favorite Never Never quotes:

I wipe the fog off my window with the palm of my hand to see outside, but the rain is falling so hard now I can’t see anything. Where am I? I turn around and look in the backseat, but there’s no one there. Nothing there. I face forward again. Think, think, think. Where was I headed? I must have fallen asleep. I don’t know where I am. I don’t know where ‘I’ am. I… I… I… Who am I?

What happened to us? What happened to her?

I nod, but I know good and well I’m not going back to the school. I’m taking my bag of Charlie’s secrets ad I’m going straight to my house to find more.

This book counts towards COYER scavenger hunt item #67 : Read a book with hands and no face.

  1. Nope, not gonna do it. After the torturous ending in the first book, I’ve decided to wait until all the books are available. I can be very patient when I need to be. lol. But I’m extremely happy to see the 2nd installment is getting so much love.

  2. Ok so I am not reading this review but I can see by your excitement from the skim I did that you are doing it again to my TBR BUT I am going to wait until its done because I can’t wait for the next one for long 🙂

I am going to assume this is an awesome review but knowing you it is because I love your reviews since most of them have ruined my TBR 😉

    • LOL Michelle! I think you’re right in waiting for this story to be complete before you start it. My daughter read the first one the other day, and she was like :’mom, do we find out more in the second book?’ and I said :’well… yes and no to that’. She still took the second book with her to read on the plane, though 😉
