Blog Ahead October 2016 – Sign-up Post

Blog Ahead 2016-Oct

Last year, I was so, so happy when I found the Blog Ahead Challenge hosted by the wonderful Anna @ Herding Cats and Burning Soup. Blogging can become a tiny bit stressful every now and then, and having a buffer of posts already scheduled really helps. Right now, I have one week of posts scheduled, and this summer, I had weeks where I had no posts scheduled at all. While I didn’t let that stress me out – I was on vacation, after all – now, I would like to get my calendar all fleshed out once more.

The Blog Ahead Challenge runs the whole month of October 2016, and anyone can participate.  You do need to have a blog, though, but it’s open for veterans and newbies alike, reviewers and authors and it’s actually a lot of fun. We all help each other stay motivated, and we cheer each other on so that we can all get those posts scheduled.

The official sign-up post is linked to above, and there is also a Facebook Group where we can interact with each other both during the Blog Ahead Challenge and during the year. When we post something to do with the challenge, we use the #BlogAhead2016 hashtag.

Don’t be shy – none of us bites (much) – and it’s a fun way to stay on top of things when it comes to blogging. Plus, you might even make some new blogging friends.

  1. Sounds great to get som extra inspiration and motivation 🙂 Heisann! Nå er jeg endelig tilbake i bloggverdenen. Det har vært utrolig godt med en sommerpause, og nå er jeg fit for fight igjen. Håper du har hatt en super sommer 🙂 Klemmer i fleng <3

  2. This is a great way to get a jump on the busy holiday season and stay on track with the blog posts. Shari and I usually do it. Good luck on the challenge, Lexxie!

      • Actually, I think I found your blog when I was visiting Kimberly’s Sunday Post and clicked on your linky icon b/c I wanted to visit your blog already after seeing your friendly comments at other blogs on several occasions and seeing your fun Thirsty Thursday meme at Velvet’s vvb32 blog. 🙂 I like your Thirsty Thursday unique post, your reviews, your discussions, and your Sunday Posts.

  3. I am the worst when it comes to blogging and scheduling. I never schedule post but I am trying to be better. since Nick is gone right now (and I’m lonely) I spent the last few hours scheduling a few posts. I have 6 posts scheduled and I’ve never had that many before. I need to look into this challenge!

  4. I did this last year and it was nice to have some things scheduled ahead. I’d like to do it again this year though and hopefully do even BETTER. I know some people that were a month or so ahead, at least on most of their posts. I know some are a bit last-minute like The Sunday Post, etc.

  5. Hi,
that sounds good, though, I am not sure if I understood it right. That is a challenge where you say how many posts you want to prepare FOR October or how many you want to prepare DURING October for the following weeks/months?
Thinking about signing up just out of curiosity to see how that works actually, but nor sure if I will fit in …
