It’s Monday! What are you Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey; and I  think it is great to start the week with what I’m reading right this minute, and what I’ll be reading (or planning on reading, anyway) for the rest of the week.

Please visit Sheila’s blog to sign up on her linky, and just know that every week, a lucky winner is drawn from the bloggers or posters (no need to even have a blog) who comment on at least ten posts in the It’s Monday meme. The winner gets a $5 Amazon gift card. How awesome is that?

A Shade of Vampire - (un)Conventional BookviewsI read A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest – it is a debut and it’s selfpublished, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The setting was very different, and the vampires were not like the ones I’ve been reading about lately. It was a quick read, with a good female lead, and the secondary characters were well done as well.

Impulse - (un)Conventional BookviewsI reviewed Impulse by Dannika Dark. I read this a while ago, and unfortunately didn’t review it straight away – so I think it’s only fair that I talk about it now, so more people will know about it before Gravity comes out in a little while. Impulse is the 3rd book in the Mageri series, and I can’t recommend this enough! Silver is a really good female MC, and the magic, the paranormal and the world itself is so different from other series that I always become completely immersed in the story.

Legacy cover (un)Conventional BookviewsI love the Time Weaver Chronicles, and Legacy, the 2nd book, was really enjoyable! Thomas A. Knight knows how to build his world and make the readers feel his characters. If you like fantasy books with magic, and a male MC, you should definitely check this out as well.

Just for the Summer - (un)Conventional BookviewsJust for the Summer is a quick romance novella, with two witty and hot main characters who have both been through their fair share of heartache. My review will be posted on Wednesday this week if you want to check it out 🙂

I am quite optimistic for this week, so there are quite a few books I’m planning on reading :

Ten Reasons to Stay - (un)Conventonal BookviewsI have already started reading Ten Reasons to Stay by Sabrina Jeffries. This is a fun (so far) historical romance with a saucy and sassy heroine and a Lord who has no idea what he’s up against.

Supernatural Freak - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Supernatural Freak by Louisa Klein seems to be very interesting : When paranormal expert Robyn Wise is offered an outrageous sum of money to cure a boy who is turning into a dead tree, she’s very sceptical. A politician ready to pay that much to make his son stop growing branches instead of hair? I received an ARC from the author.

Runes - (un)Conventional BookviewsI will also read Runes by Edna Walters. I don’t know much about this, apart from the fact that it’s supposed to be a YA paranormal romance. I got an ARC from Netgalley, and I look forward to reading it.

The Reluctant Reaper - (un)Conventional BookviewsThe Reluctant Reaper by Gina X. Grant seems really interesting, the premise is not like any I’ve ever seen before, and I think it will be an interesting read.

The Testing - (un)Conventional BookviewsAnother ARC I’ve got is The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau, and it’s coined as a YA UF/Fantasy/Dystopian. I couldn’t resist requesting it – and I hope it will live up to my expectations.

Hopefully, I’ll have time for a purchased book as well, and I would really like to read the next Chronicles of Nick book – Inferno - (un)Conventional BookviewsInferno, by Sherrilyn Kenyon. This is set in the Dark Hunter universe, but is YA, and follows Nick through his late adolescence when he gets into his powers.

What about you? What are YOU reading? I hope you’ll have a wonderful read, filled with really great books!

    • I thought A Shade of Vampire was good – but you have to decide for yourself! If you do get to it, I look forward to seeing what you think.
