Review: Reel – Kennedy Ryan

Reel is a beautifully written realistic romance with characters that feel so real you think they are a part of your circle of friends before the story is over. Kennedy Ryan did it again! I’m sure Reel will become a bestseller, and it already has all the necessary ingredients for a wonderful movie as well! The story is character-driven, which is my favorite kind of story. The narration starts in the past, then follows Neevah and Canon in the present – with snippets of Dessi’s life through the movie. Love In Secrets is a perfect friends-to-lovers story, with a ton of chemistry, a whole lot of heat, and a little heart-ache. Love In Secrets is one of those stories where I loved everything! The Girl with Stars in Her Eyes is an amazing story, following Toni B from when she was only twelve years old. I don’t even know where to start with The Girl With Stars in Her Eyes! Axelrod did amazing with this novel, that’s for sure! The characters were very realistic, and my feeling were involved from the beginning. Thirty Days / Lost Love has received quite an overhaul, and I for one, am very happy about that! There is still a lot going on, however, the story is faster paced, and there are more clues to Abigail and what is going on with her. Of course, realizing that she has retrograde amnesia is not easy for her. Especially because her best friend, her mum, and other people have been keeping the truth from her. The Bookstore on the Beach is a rather compelling story, with characters that are attaching, and a quirky beach town as the backdrop to all the drama. The Bookstore on the Beach started out very well, with Autumn going back to her home town for the summer holiday. Seeing her mom, letting her children be free, and possibly stopping her search for her missing husband. Autumn needed to know what had happened to Nick, but she also needed to start living again.
