Wifey, I was most impressed with The Girl in the Mist, KA’s first foray into true romantic suspense. Of course, she’s not disappointed me yet with any genre she’s dipped her toe into. If I hadn’t read other books from EHunter, I’d feel a lot worse for not having gotten to A Hidden Fire sooner. As it is, I’m still kicking myself. But I was thrilled to be able to join Sophia Rose and Lenore (COYER friends) in a buddy read, especially because I was able to chat, moon, and generally wax poetic about how incredible this book is! It was angsty and emotional, and ODade captured exquisitely the injury and scars that can come at the hands of those we love…those that are supposed to love us unconditionally. Wifey, I didn’t think I was going to like Rockaway Bride as much as its predecessors because it didn’t incorporate the full cast like the first 2 installments did. However, after some reading and thinking, I realized that with Willow being the quiet introvert of this group, this was the only way her story could have been told!
