Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #335

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #265 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

Oh my gosh, this week was so very busy! It was hard going back to work after two and a half weeks off. I was exhausted after just a few days, and so happy it’s the weekend again! It was still a good week, though. On Friday, I went on a long walk with a good friend I haven’t seen in a long time, brought the dogs and we had a nice time. It’s the safest way to spend time together, and it felt good to just chat and hang out. When I got back home, though, the dogs were filthy, so I was really happy they both love to take showers 😀

Wow! Sounds like a busy week, glad you were able to unwind this weekend! Yeah, January is always the hardest month to get through. Last week was rough for me, this week was still rough but not as bad, but next week might change back to really rough! Lol.

Nice new reads! All new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

My StS will be up on Sunday, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    • Yeah unwinding is definitely a must these days. Especially because most things I would usually do for unwinding isn’t possible this year. Going out with friends, or just hanging out together is not a project I think we’ll be able to do for a while.
Thanks for stopping by, Jessica 🙂

    • It does sound like fun, and I really look forward to listening to it.
That walk with my friend was so nice! I have missed seeing people just because I want to. Hopefully, that will soon become something we can do more of again.
      Thanks for stopping by, Shelly!

I used to struggle coming back to work after long holiday breaks and was always so glad to have Martin Luther King Day off barely two weeks later. 🙂
Fun that you got to go walking with your friend and the pups. They look so cozy together.
Enjoy the fun books in your haul!

    • Yeah, it’s definitely hard, but it’s also nice to get back into a routine somehow. We don’t have MLK day, so we have to wait until the middle of February for winter break, but it’s only four weeks, so it should be OK.
Thanks for stopping by, Sophia 🙂

  3. Even though it was busy, at least you don’t have to go to school also. That has to be such a satisfying relief. Love the puppies! It’s great they get along so well.

  4. It is hard to go back after being off like that! Glad you had a nice week though in spite of that. and I bet the dogs had a blast getting dirty! 🙂

  5. I am so pleased to hear your return to school went well and that you generally had a good, if tiring, week. ? This was my second week back at school and thankfully it was a calmer and easier one than the first! I also read the stunning historical-fiction, The Phantom Tree by Nicola Cornick, too! Take care and happy reading in the coming week. ?

  6. Yes… returning after a long break is always surprisingly stressful – and much harder in the current circumstances. So glad you were able to go on a walk and catch up with a good friend! That is worth so much… I hope the coming week is a good, relatively peaceful one, Linda:)

  7. Hooray for the week-end ! I’m not back to work yet but I’m not very eager myself. We had a long walk in the snow yesterday, I ‘m sending it your way so that you can have some fluffy white too – the dogs will love it ^^ My cats were looking out the window but felt the snow was too cold and wet for their taste. I hope this week will be more relaxed, bisous 🙂

  8. Sounds like a busy week, but that’s good to hear it was a good week and you got to spend some time with your friend. That’s handy your dogs both love showers. I hope you’ll have a good week!

  9. I love seeing your two dogs cuddled up with each other! So sweet! I am glad that you had a chance to catch up with a friend. I think we still need that sometimes. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books. Happy reading, Linda!

  10. Love the puppy picture! How sweet. Getting back to regular routine is definitely a challenge and it seems even harder this year. Have a great week!

Just Another Silly Love Song sounds like my kind of read! I hope you enjoy it. I am glad you had such a good week, and hope your weekend has been just as good, if not better! I am jealous that your dogs like to take showers. My dog was never a fan of the water. I hope you have a great week!

Getting back to work after a long time off is definitely always so hard. I’m glad you were able to relax with your friend. 😉
And those dogs looks so cute. 😀
Have a great week and happy reading.

  13. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

Definitely the safest way to visit friends. 🙂 I’m glad you had a nice walk.
I grabbed Blood Heir too and I’m really looking forward to reading.
Hope you have a good week!

I remember those first few days back after the long winter break – exhausting! I’m glad it was a good week though and how nice you were able to get in a good walk with a friend. Safest way these days for sure! I hope you’re having a good week (and not so tiring)! HUGS!!
