Weekend Wrap-up #292 – Sick, but I Have a Week Off.

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #292

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #232 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I’ve been sick this week, and even was off of work on Thursday – it’s the first time I’ve not gone to work since I started teaching, so there is that. I’m feeling a bit better today, but I have a soar throat and a sinus infection that I hope I’ll be able to get rid of real quick. We’re off next week, and Mr. Lex, youngest child and I are going to Norway to see #3 who’s in Norway for the whole school year. I can’t wait to see him again!

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Hercules on the couch <3
Freddy wants to go outside!

This week, we’ve been reading for Grace! I’ve started Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry, and I love it! I have also made a shelf for books I’ll read for Grace in the future, with books I already had on my TBR list, and some I’ve added.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

  1. The pretty puppies!! Been a while that I saw them, seems like I missed a lot of weekend wrap ups lately ?

Once upon a sunset’s cover is gorgeous!! Looks like the perfect summer fling book ?
Yikes! I thanksfully haven’t gotten sick yet, im happy you feel better now! Xx

I’m so sorry you’re feeling sick – gosh, we all know how awful that feels! Yet, there’s a trip to look forward to so I hope you’re feeling better real soon. “Fast Lane” will be my weekend treat, I happen to love anything by Kristen Ashley. 🙂

  3. I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better and I hope the soar throat and a sinus infection will be completely gone soon as well. Hopefully you’re getting lots of cuddles from Hercules and Freddy. 😀 ♥

Ah man, too bad about being sick with the infection. Hope you feel better. My husband has that right now, too. Enjoy that couch nap, Hercules! 🙂
    Very nice haul!

Have a good time in Norway with your family, Lexxie!

  5. Oh no- hope you’re feeling better soon! Everyone around here has been sick too, and it’s just such a pain! 🙂

Have a great trip to Norway too, hope you’re feeling all back to normal by then.

  6. I hope you are back to 100% before your trip. I hope you all have an amazing time. I have ARC envy right now. The new CLo AND Tacker. I have been chomping at the bit for his story. It should be all sorts of emotional.

    • Thank you! I am already feeling better, so hopefully, I’ll be 100% for our flight tomorrow.
I know! I’m so lucky! I am on Sawyer Bennett’s review team, so I usually get all of hers. Tacker was definitely emotional, I can’t wait to see what everybody else thinks of it.

hope you feel better! I’m actually back in Shadowhunter world with The Red SCrolls of Magic

  8. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling good. Being sick is never a good thing. I hope you will be well soon. Thank you for the pretty dog pictures. And have a nice trip to Norway. Happy reading.

    • Yeah, I realized at BookBonanza this year that I didn’t always react when people called for Lexxie… so I figured it would be easier to use my RL name here, too 🙂 I hope I’ll be able to answer to Lexxie if you call me that next time we meet 😉
Thank you! I hope the plane will be OK for me tomorrow, too. *hugs*

  9. I got sick last week too! Lost my voice and had a bad sinus infection. I had to miss school on Friday. Germ factory!!!
I had no idea Lexxie wasn’t your real name!

    • I know 🙂 I’ve used Lexxie online since 1996 :O But a lot of people know that my real name is Linda, and it’s just easier to merge my two lives – blogging and real – at least a little bit 🙂
I hope you’re feeling better! I had sinus infections.

Sorry to read you’ve been sick Linda. I really hope you feel better soon. Especially with your upcoming tip to Norway!
Your new books look great! Happy reading!

  11. Rachel @Waves of Fiction

I got offered Net Force Dark Web, but I wanted to investigate it a little bit before accepting. How exciting to be traveling to Norway, and lucky for your son to be attending school there! Have a safe and wonderful trip! 🙂

  12. I really hope your feeling much better soon. We are exhausted and a little under the weather today, so we are taking it easy after our big trip. What a book haul! So the blog says Linda instead of Lexxie now? I wish you a great trip and enjoy your time off! I haven’t forgotten I need to scan and email you the Norwegian fairy tales.

Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post

  13. I hope you get to feeling better! And enjoy your time off, especially your trip to Norway. How long of a trip is that for you? Seems like it would be pretty short. I hope you’re feeling well enough to enjoy your time.

    Big Hugs <3
