Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #29
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
I finally sat down and read Damon Suede’s Hot Head last week, and I loved it! There is a lot of drama, a lot of pain, and a lot of feelings and loyalty. Dante was an amazing cook, really and truly, he made me hungry, and I wish there was a recipe for his cioppino somewhere!
My Hungry Hearts quote:
Stall to stall, Dante put together the cioppino, his favorite. Griff could see the love and care that went into selecting all the elements. That may have been the important thing, the part Dante wanted him to witness, that loving, thoughtful attention. No wonder it was his favorite meal – all that affection and patience stirred together.
Thanks for stopping by today, don’t forget to link up 🙂 Have a terrific Thursday and happy reading.
Maybe you could tweet Damon and ask if he has a recipe?!? I really want to read Hot Head, too. Hopefully I’ll get to it by the end of the year. Hmm, I’ll miss Cinema Craptastique next year. *ha* “Upskirt!” Damon is a funny guy. Did that come through in his writing?
Happy Thursday, my friend! I’m off to yoga this morning. 🙂 **BIG HUGS**
LOL I’m not sure I’d have the patience to actually make it, though, even if it sounds delicious 🙂 I’m sure you’ll enjoy Hot Head, it was darker and grittier than I thought it would be, but yes, Damon’s humor definitely shines through as well. *Sloooow Mooo*
*BIG HUGS*
A man who can cook…yes, please! And I had never heard of cioppino, so naturally, I had to Google it. That looks amazingly delicious. Now if I can just get my hubby to make it for me…:)
It does look good, doesn’t it? In this case, the man who knows how to cook does so for his man 😉 It was still both sexy and very sweet, though, Cheryl 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, and for participating again!
