The Sunday Post #72 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
Now, life is back to busy and normal. Uni is back, I’m teaching, I’m starting to work on my MA thesis, and the kids have activities, school, need help with preparation for tests and homework… And then, there are all the books. I have so many ARCs going now, and while I’m always happy to be accepted for those ARCs I’m excited about, I really need to get to reading and reviewing them now 🙂
And thanks to Netflix, I’ve started watching The 100… it’s awesome! Please – no spoilers 😉 It’s just enough sci-fi, and there are some Lost references (plus probably many more I haven’t caught), and I really love Clarke!
I’m doing pretty well on all my challenges so far, COYER is starting its last week for this time, and I’ve had lots of fun with it, as usual.
In only four weeks, I’m picking up little puppy Freddy in Norway, and I have a new picture to share with you. He’s so cute! I can’t wait to finally meet him to cuddle and coo. I’m not 100% sure, but I think Freddy is the one who seems to be looking into the camera.

Aw, your new puppy is so adorable. I’m excited for you! I love the whirlwind of work, school, kids, etc. It makes me so much more focused just knowing that I have to maximize the use of my spare time. I’m not sure how you do this and are so productive though.
Happy Sunday, hope you have a wonderful week. 🙂
I just can’t wait to pick him up, Xxertz!
Yeah, I think sometimes I’m more productive when I’m very busy, because I really need to make the most of my time. I read really fast, and I have a notebook with notes before I write my review, plus, I highlight stuff on my kindle quite a bit 🙂 It makes it much easier for me when I write my reviews.
Thanks for stopping by!
That new puppy is in for it! He’s going to love his new life. I need to get on the ARC reading to, despite failing hardcore at COYER this year. Happy Reading!
I think he’s going to love his life with us as well! We’re huggers, all of us, and we’re all so excited about the addition to our family 🙂
I did really well at COYER, but I added more books than I read 😉
Omg! The puppies! Freddy is adorable, no matter which one he is. 😉 Glad you’re enjoying The 100 so far I binged it awhile back, and now I’m forced to wait and watch the new episodes. Life is rough. lol.
LOL that’s the problem with binge-watching! We get even more impatient 🙂 I’m glad it keeps being a good show, though, Christy.
I know, he’s so adorable I want to hug his photo 😀
Bad Boys, the bane of my existence. 😀
Yeah, but they’re so delicious!
Looks like you’ve had a great week, and that you have an even better upcoming one! I LOVE your blog!
Thanks for stopping by A Thousand Words, A Million Books
Oh thank you, Aditi 🙂
Yay for The 100, hope you love it! Wait til you get to S2- even better. 🙂
Cute puppy!!
LOL way to make me stray from my books, Greg 😀
Oh my gosh, those puppies. <3 So broody for a pet now. Hahaha
I can’t wait to finally be able to pick him up and bring him home, Ceri 🙂
Freddy is so cute! No Matter which one of those adorable puppies he is! And Netflix is super bad for productivity! All that food sounds so good! I hope you enjoyed it! Have a great week and happy reading!
LOL Netflix is very bad, but it’s also a lot of fun! Plus I love how I can make lists with shows I might want to watch. Of course, my two oldest are also making lists…
Oh, little Freddy is so very cute !!! And I hear you on The 100, I started watching it after Greg said he loved it, I’m now on season 2 and I won’t spoil ^^ Have a great week, Lexxie, bisous tout plein – surtout à Freddy !
I know! I can’t wait to finally go pick him up, Iza. And it’s all Greg’s fault!! Have a great week ahead, my dear. Bisous.
I read Hawke last week. I was SO frustrated with him as a character. But, I felt it was a four star book as well. I just did NOT like Hawke sometimes! Ugh!!!
The puppy is ADORABLE!!!!
I thought they were both a little immature in some ways, Samantha, but I still really enjoyed their story 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
OMGGGG those doggies just warm my heart, it’s so cute! I can’t wait to read 100 too, and I’m glad life has returned to your happy medium. Have a lovely week ahead Lexxie!
I know, he’s so cute my heart just turns to mush each time I get a new picture of him – and it makes me so, so impatient as well!
I loooooove The 100! But sadly enough haven’t started the newest season yet. There are way too many other shows that I try to keep up with at the moment so I’m waiting a bit and then I’ll binge watch it. Glad you’re enjoying it!
And oh my god, Lexxie! How totally cute is that puppy! What kind of dog is it?
I agree, there are some good shows out now, but I hadn’t even peeked at the 100, even if it’s the exact kind of show I love.
He’s a dachshund, so he’ll never become too big – easy to bring in the car when we go to Spain, and he’ll be OK in the apartment, too.
It sounds as if everything’s going well and you’re busy but not TOO busy!
I’ve watched up to the current season of The 100 and I’ve struggled with the beginning eps of seasons but get into them as time goes on.
And Freddy is so very cute. You must be excited!
I haven’t had time to continue with The 100 so far, but I have enjoyed what I’ve watched.
Freddy is adorable, it makes it very hard to be patient for a few more weeks 🙂
Freddy is definitely cute…and I hope you have lots of fun with him, and soon.
I have been noticing more and more people sharing their negative experiences on Amazon, and I have had some of my own in the past. I remember one person saying that my reviews sounded like the authors and publishers were “paying me” to say those things in the review. What? But lately, not so much. But there are always those trolls who want to share their negativity via comments about spoilers, etc. Those people, BTW, never seem to have read the blurbs, or they wouldn’t be able to shout “spoiler” when anything about the story is mentioned…
Okay, rant over. LOL.
I haven’t yet watched The 100…I’ll have to check it out. I am always finding new shows to binge-watch on Netflix. Lately, I’ve been watching an interesting one called Lie to Me.
Enjoy your week…and thanks for visiting my blog.
I have never had any bad experiences on amazon, but I’m really a small fish over there, so that might be why.
Netflix is hard to resist! Almost as hard as new books 😉

The puppy is adorable. Sounds like you’ll be busy. I love getting ARCs too. I’ve gotten so many lately. I usually do more back lists, so it is fun to have so many new releases right now. It is also a little overwhelming because I don’t know which one to tackle next because I want to do them all right now. LOL
He is so adorable my heart expands just thinking of him, Melanie 🙂
I agree that back lists are awesome in many ways, even because it means more people have already read the book, and there are more discussions 🙂
yup I know what you mean about the ARCs I wish I hadn’t been so enthusiastic about requesting ARCs last week now we have to read them right?! 🙂
Everyone loves The 100… I guess I should give it another try 🙂
I love that Freddy is already gregarious, loving the camera, since I’m sure he’ll be in many pics when he gets home. Just Adorable
I’m not sad about having those ARCs to read, I just wish I knew to show a little bit of restraint so I didn’t have so many at the same time 😀
I have only watched two episodes of The 100 so far, but I really did enjoy those. The whole set-up is awesome.
Freddy will probably be featured in all of my future Sunday posts once he arrives 😀
That puppy is adorable! I truly enjoyed the 100 when I somehow found it last year on Amazon. I have yet to watch the third season because at the time it wasn’t out, but I have heard good things…It might be time to start binge watching again!
Have a great week!
I agree, he’s so cute! I’m glad you’re enjoying The 100, too, Jitty. Thanks for stopping by.
Freddy is adorable — you must be so excited! I really enjoyed your review of Me Before You. I think it is burried somewhere on my kindle and will have to read it soon. Have a great week.
Definitely very excited about Freddy arriving soon, Whitney 🙂 I hope you’ll find the time to read Me Before You, it was a really good story.

Goodness, I want to cuddle him too! I can’t wait to see all the pictures when you get him! Puppies are so fun!
I have been binge watching Fuller House and it’s not bad 🙂 I haven’t watched The 100 but it’s on my watch list. Hoping to binge a bunch of stuff this summer, I prefer that over watching it on TV
I hope you have a super fantastic week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! ox
You might just get sick of Freddy pictures down the road, Michlle 😉
Fuller House is one I haven’t watched at all, but I used to love Full House ages ago. and The 100 is good, I look forward to watching that one more.

Enjoy the puppy and the return of the mundane. I hope to start watching the 100..one day! LOL Happy reading 🙂
I hope you’ll enjoy The 100 when you get to it, Kim 🙂
Good luck with your thesis!! That sounds like a lot of work! Congrats on making good progress on your reading challenges too! AND ON YOUR PUPPY!!! He is so adorable!! Is he a weenie dog?? I have one too! They’re the best! 😀 Have a fantastic week 🙂
Yeah, it’s going to be quite a bit of work, but it’s going to be so nice to have it behind me 😀
He is indeed a weenie dog, I can’t wait to go pick him up in three weeks!
I forgot about everything I was going to say because of the puppy cuteness!! So adorable! I can imagine you’re very excited. Good luck on your thesis! I know what you mean about ARCs. There are always a few I’m just so excited about but they end up getting buried in the stack pretty quickly. I’m trying to get more reading done but it’s hard!
😀 I agree, if something is not right, I just need that picture, and all is good again.
I’m always excited about my ARCs, but it still takes some time to read them 🙂
oh my—-so adorable….I would so want that puppy as well if I was a big dog person. Good luck on working on your thesis. I hear ya about ARC’s….I have to be careful how many I request or I can get overwhelmed.
My husband and kids have been trying to persuade me to get a puppy for years now, and who could resist that little face, huh? Only a few more weeks and he’ll be home with us.
Thanks for stopping by, Renee.
Good luck with your thesis! That’s always duanting working on something big like that. And that’s great you have so many exciting arc’s, although there is the pressure to get them read and reviewed. I should stay away from netgalley for a bit and get my current books reviewed, but it’s so hard. Aww Freddy is so cute! That’s so exciting you’ll be getting your puppy soon. I hope you’ll have a great week!
It is daunting just to try to figure out how to start, but once I get going, I’m sure I’ll be OK.
I need to stay away from Netgalley, too, Lola, but I don’t 😀
Thanks for stopping by.

Fine! I’ll catch The 100 at some point. Lol
How’s teaching? Anything interesting? At one point I envisioned myself teaching then I found myself around so many kids that I realized I don’t have the constitution for it. Hahaha!
Haha, Braine! That’s how I felt too, until I finally did it, and I totally got why everyone was talking about it.
The kids I teach are teens – which is much better than the little ones in my opinion 🙂
Freddy in all of his adorableness! Such a sweetie. Sounds like back to normal for you which is very busy. Even more so now with the new member of the family. LOL I can’t wait to hear what you think of The 100. I didn’t think I’d like it but all the hype encouraged me to watch it. I loved it!
He is too cute for words! I can’t wait to pick him up in a few weeks, Laura 🙂 I didn’t want to watch a new show either, but I’m glad I gave it a try.
Whew, you are seriously one busy lady! Good luck with everything and I hope you find a lot of time to read those ARCs. 🙂
-Lauren
Yeah, but busy is good… I have nice vacations to wind down, too, Lauren.
Freddy is adorable! I can’t wait to see what you think once you get him home. I am in the same spot with my ARCs…I really need to get some of them read and reviews as quickly as possible. Have a great week!
I know! I”m so, so excited, Carole. Thanks for stopping by.
Freddy is adorable and I can’t wait to see more pictures of him. You have been crazy busy!! I hope you enjoy all the ARCs and have a great week!
Yeah, busy is just normal for me, Kathy 🙂 But I kind of enjoy that, really. Thanks for stopping by.
The puppy is so cute and I am sure Freddy is looking at you…
We can’t wait to go pick him up, Sherry!
Well, when you lay things out like that, I have no room to complain about my busy-ness, now do I?!? You know I’m always in awe of all you do, Lexxie. Truly. You’re Wonder Woman! 😉 I’m happy things are going so well and that your challenges are coming along. You’ll get to ALL those ARCs…you always do. And I can’t wait until you get to meet Freddy! He looks adorable and I know he’s going to be so loved when he gets to his new home. 🙂
Have a great week, my friend! **BIG HUGS**
You’re a very busy lady yourself, Brandee, but I think I actually thrive on being really busy. It’s like the more things I have to get done, the better organized I am, and the more productive I am 🙂
I can’t wait until I get to meet Freddy, either, he’s so, so cute. *BIG HUGS*
It sounds like you are crazy busy! Make sure to take time to breath. 🙂 I think I’m going to have to check out The 100. Maybe when I finish up watching Haven. Freddy is so adorable! I want to pick him up and cuddle him. I know you must be counting down the days until you can bring him home. 🙂 I hope you have a great week!
I do take breaks every now and then, but I’m quite productive when I have lots to do 🙂
I want to pick Freddy up and cuddle him, too 😀 Thanks for stopping by.
Great week you had! That puppy looks so adorable!
I can’t wait to meet him, Ronyell 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
The puppies! omg the cuteness is too much. Glad things are going well there even if busy 🙂 And yes on the ARCS. I’m playing catch up with those at the moment. Whew!
I know, right? So, so cute 🙂 Good luck catching up, Anna.
What a darling puppy, whichever one you get! And I feel for you with the ARCs; I’m behind on mine and need to get busy!
