The Sunday Post #42 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
Because I really needed to get my stuff in order for Uni, I have been working on two separate papers this week. One is finished (I think!!) and I have done a ton of research for the other. However, this means that apart from the beach, reading and hanging out with #4, I haven’t done much. Oh, yes, I signed up on Instagram because there will be a COYER photo challenge starting in August, and I wanted to participate. I have already added some photos – wanna follow me? 😉
I’m really, really missing my husband and my three other kids now! Good thing Mr. Lex and two of the kids are coming back here soon, because while it’s nice to have some alone time with my youngest, it’s also nice to have the others around.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Yay for instagram!! I’ll totally go check out your pictures (I’m an instagram addict. xDXD I haven’t joined in any challenges yet, but I totally want to :D) And zomg, thank you for linking to my post!!
It seems I have become addicted to your discussion posts, Cait 😀 They are always awesome, and straight from the heart!
Hey Lexxie,
It sounds like some quality time with the youngest! I’m glad you’ve had a good time 🙂 Kudos for finishing one of the papers! As for the other one, research can take forever can’t it?
I’m actually gob smacked you managed to do five reviews this week! What?!! That’s amazing!
Have a good week Lexxie 😀
Amy x
Research definitely can take a lot of time! Especially this time, I know exactly what I want, so it makes it more difficult to find the articles that could be relevant. Oh well.
Don’t be too impressed, my reviews (apart from one) were already written and scheduled a few weeks ago 😉
Sounds like you’ve been busy despite everyone being away. Glad they’re home soon though.
Deb
Busy is good… but I’d rather just be at the beach! Thanks for stopping by Deb 🙂
Glad you enjoyed some alone time with your youngest. Full House soon 🙂 hope you schedule ahead some posts 🙂
Glad you did have time to posts great reviews. I added two of the series to GR: Devil’s Punch and Unholy Magic. Also visited Cait post per your suggestion. Have a great week 🙂
I try to schedule reviews ahead at least a week or two… but it’s starting to wear thin right now 🙂 I hope you’ll enjoy both the Corine Solomon series and the Downside Ghosts series, Daniela. I love both 🙂
Have a great week.
One paper done! That’s always good. I like ticking things off my list. This week was a bit lazy though and I didn’t really get much done.
I can be lazy again starting next week… for two more week until school starts again, both teaching-wise and learning-wise 😀
I will check you out on Instagram, I love it, I have no idea what I am doing but I like playing with all the filters!
Have a lovely week!
I like playing around with the filters as well as the making several photos into one, Heather 🙂
That can be ahrd to be away- hope everyone is back together soon! Glad you’re getting some beach time- summer goes by so fast you gotta soak in the rays when you can! 🙂 Good luck with the papers…
Yeah, in the beginning, it was really nice, but now, we’re both missing the rest of the noisy and loving family 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Greg 🙂
I will check out your instagram. I have an account on Instagram as well but I never keep up with it, maybe I will try….:) Have a great week.
I’m really just starting instagram, it’s a lot of fun, though, to play with filters and organize photos, and turn them etc 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Cindy.

Instagram is dangerous! I love taking pictures and it’s such fun to look at all the cool pictures.
It’s nice to have one kid at a time but it’s more fun to have everyone together. I think I would miss my husband 😉 but he doesn’t go anywhere so maybe I should send him someplace and see if I miss him lol
Have a great week Lexxie! Happy Reading! <3 oxox
LOL, yes it definitely is, Michelle! There are some really artsy people to follow, and you may have noticed that I’m almost as obsessed with food and drinks as I am with books 😀
My husband and I often do our own thing for a weekend, or maybe a week every now and then. I don’t think we’ve been apart for over three weeks before, and I’m just happy we can talk every day on facetime!
You don’t have to send your husband away though, you could go somewhere on your own 😉 Like Chicago in May next year for BEA 😉
I think it’s always good to have alone time with each child, at one time or another. Enjoy!
I have not yet tried Instagram, but I am so curious…and worried to add another “time suck” to my list…LOL.
Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
True, it’s very nice. We get to do some girly things together 🙂
Instagram is definitely another time-suck, Laurel-Rain!
Instagram can be so much fun!! I am big on taking pictures especially when I am with family…I have it bad hehe. Hope your hubby and kids get home soon.
I love taking pictures as well, and it’s fun to make them more artsy and add them to instagram. I don’t really like sharing pictures of my kids on the internet, though, so there will be very little of that.
Whew, you had a busy week. I feel better about mine. Good luck with your papers. I can imagine you’re missing your other kids and your husband; it’ll be good when you are all together again.
I wish I was better at actually writing that second paper this week, but I can’t seem to actually start it 🙁
Thanks for stopping by Bea 🙂
Good luck with everything! I hope you get some more downtime soon 🙂 I will check out your instagram
I hope you have a wonderful week! Happy reading 🙂
Here’s my weekly wrap up
Michelle @ Book Briefs
Thanks Michelle 🙂 I’ve had quite a bit of downtime already this summer, and starting next week, I will have some more before school starts again.
That saying comes to mind, “Abesence makes the heart….” It’s so true. Good luck with your writing and enjoy your family reunion:)
That is very true, Laura! Thanks for stopping by.
I like instagram but I always forget about it. I’m not great at taking pictures but I love seeing all the shots everyone else shares. That’s great that Mr. Lexx and the other kids will be there soon. I’m sure it was lovely having some time with just the one but I think I’d be ready to be reunited with everyone too. Have a great week!
I have been pretty good about not spending too much time on instagram, but some people take the most amazing photos!
Thanks for stopping by Katherine :
It’s great you are getting a lot of things done but it is nice to have everyone together again. The COYER Instagram challenge sounds like a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see your pictures. Since your on vacation I am sure you’ll have some beautiful pictures, unlike me who has everything dead looking because of this drought we are in lol. Have a great week!
I think the COYER instagram challenge is going to be fun, the themes for each day have been posted, so now, I just need to figure out a way to be creative with those 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Kathy.
I don’t have an instagram account and not sure if I ever will start one as I alreayd have so many other social media sites to keep track of. Yay for getting that paper done and getting a bunch of research done for the other one. And that’s good to hear you’ll see the rest of your family again soon. Have a great week!
Yeah, there definitely is a lot of different social media accounts to keep track of… I am having fun with Instagram so far, though.
Thanks for stopping by, Lola.
Aww! Sorry to hear that you are lonely! This means more time for reading, though!
Ha! True, that. I have read a LOT of books this summer! And even my youngest daughter has started reading a little more – which is quite an achievement for her, since she’s dyslexic – and enjoys using the kindle app so she can make the font size a little bigger.

Good luck with that last paper!
Stormi
Thanks Stormi 🙂
It has to feel good to have so much of the work on your papers completed though, right? Then it’s not weighing so heavily on your mind. That’s what I think, anyway. 🙂 I know how you must be missing the rest of your family even if you’re enjoying quality alone time with #4. Enjoy every moment though, Lexxie. As you know, they grow up waaay too quickly! 🙂
Thanks for the shout-out! <3 and **BIG HUGS**
It is definitely nice to see the progress on a paper, and that first one has now been sent in to my professors. Thanks for your help with proof-reading!!
*BIG HUGS*
I rarely have time to spend with my daughters alone, one without the other (or anyone !), and they always enjoy that immensely, so it’s good time anyway 🙂 I hope you enjoy and will have all your family united soon 😉 Have fun !
It doesn’t exactly happen very often for me, either, Iza. #4 really enjoys it, but she’s starting to miss her brothers and sister too, now 🙂
