Review: Cross Me & Claim Me – Geneva Lee

Review: Cross Me & Claim Me – Geneva Lee

Cross Me is a spin-off from another Geneva Lee series, and I might have enjoyed this even more if I already knew Alexander and Clara before I met them in this story. A royal couple, with a lot of pressure from the outside world, their relationship is not an easy one. However, there is a lot of love between them – only not enough conversations and openness at time. There is a lot of hotness here, and there is also intrigue, secrets, and a little darkness. The political intrigue caught my attention, and I can’t wait to see how Clara and Alexander deal with everything they’re up against. A royal couple, with a lot of pressure from the outside world, […]

Audio Review ~ The Protector ~ Elin Peer

Audio Review ~ The Protector ~ Elin Peer

The synopsis for The Protector essentially reeled me in. I mean, a world ruled by women? You can understand my curiosity, right? And EPeer didn’t disappoint me. Highlights: Premise/Plot EPeer did an excellent job of creating this futuristic world where women rule, crime is virtually non-existent, men are docile, and peace abounds. She illustrated how the world came to be as it is with an inventive history and present. With the exception of the Northlands, the world lives by a “we” mentality rather than “us versus them.” When Christina goes to the Northlands, both she and Bolder learn a lot about each other’s cultures, their misconceptions and that not everything about the other’s world is bad. Characters Christina and Bolder […]

Review: Free – Kristen Ashley

Review: Free – Kristen Ashley

Oh my goodness! I just love me some Chaos, and I have to say that Rush and Rebel’s story got to me in every way. These alpha MC men, with their wild, intelligent, and fun women always get to me – but I just adored Free! Free is the last installment in the Chaos series, and it was sad to see some of my favorite characters ever for the last time. It was also a great story, though, so I was completely satisfied when I came to the end. Rush and Rebel were made for each other! She was a strong woman, and she was able to hold her own – both with Rush and with other men. Rush is […]

Review: Be the Girl – K.A. Tucker

Review: Be the Girl – K.A. Tucker

I knew Be the Girl would break my heart! Bullying is such an ugly word. And now – with all kinds of social media, those who are bullied must feel like it never stops. Be the Girl is such an important story! And I have to say, Tucker managed to tell it with so much tenderness and tact, it was beautiful  – even when it was ugly! Aria moved across Canada with her mother to live with her great-uncle. And it was clear from the beginning of the story that there was trouble in her past. Big trouble. Coupled with a father who had a second family – and who left Aria and her mother behind without a backwards glance. […]

Review: Wicked Knight – Sawyer Bennett

Review: Wicked Knight – Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Knight is the fifth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series, and this series is still going strong. More than erotic romance, it is about dealing with the aftermath of a tough divorce as well. And also trusting another man to do right, when the one who was supposed to be everything only thought of himself. Story: I really enjoyed Wicked Knight, it was definitely hot, and had a little Cinderella / Pretty Woman feel to it. Mostly because Hannah was ready to do whatever it took to make sure her daughter would be with her, and that she would be safe being there. In the beginning, I didn’t really enjoy Asher all that much, but that changed quickly. […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Cutting Edge ~ CD Reiss

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Cutting Edge ~ CD Reiss

The Cutting Edge served to prove how adept at writing compelling stories Reiss is. She not only put me in a combat hospital in Balad by drawing images to vivid they were visceral, she also drew characters I’m completely invested in. This is my first series by Reiss, and I just don’t understand why I waited so long! I agree – those images were visceral, and the characters hooked me very quickly! I admit to going into The Cutting Edge blind, wifey. Reiss is an auto-buy so I didn’t even remember/know what the story was about when I started it. However, she gripped me immediately and didn’t let go. She delivered a compelling, at times gut-wrenching, at times humorous, at […]

Review: Face Off – Brenda Novak

Review: Face Off – Brenda Novak

Face Off was a good story, but I have to admit I’m starting to think Evelyn will never ever find any peace. And it took quite a bit of suspension of disbelief to get that she could go through so much and still be sane. I really enjoy Evelyn and her thoughts on what makes a psychopath a dangerous person. However, in Face Off, I just started to feel a bit tired because Evelyn can never catch a break! She never had a moment of peace, between her one-time boyfriend from her youth, and Amarok’s ex who was trying to get to Amarok any way she could. The overall story in Face Off was very exciting, especially because I as […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Rock F*ck Club #2 ~ Michelle Mankin

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Rock F*ck Club #2 ~ Michelle Mankin

Since both Lexxie and I are fans of #girlpower we figured MMankin’s Rock F*ck Club #2 was a great way to kick off our joint venture. We hope y’all enjoy our chat! And keep an eye on our Facebook page today…there might be a giveaway! 😉 B: What did you think about how MMankin presented Rock F*ck Club #2? The end-of-season perspective? The challenges Lucky and Raven were facing and how they were dealing with them? L: I really found the after-filming to be very interesting. Especially because so much had changed between Lucky and Raven. And her outlook on life and relationships had done a full 180. It was also good to see that while she was worried about […]

ARC Review: Bishop – Sawyer Bennett

ARC Review: Bishop – Sawyer Bennett

Bishop was amazing! I’m so happy Ms. Bennett is branching out with more hockey-players – and both Bishop and Brooke really did it for me. Story: There’s a little bit of suspense with Brooke’s friend Nanette, and a whole lot of awesome hockey-talk, relationships between the players, and within the organization at large. Of course, the whole hockey setting is partly what I loved about Bishop, however, the characters really did it for me as well! There’s a certain camaraderie among these players, who were let go by their team to start a new team in Arizona. Because Brooke wanted to make sure her father, the coach, wouldn’t be unfair to Bishop, she pretended they were engaged when her father […]
