STS #100 – Bought Borrowed and Bagged #50
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from Karen Marie Moning’s amazing Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe.

Rock Redemption (Rock Kiss #3) by Nalini Singh
Kit Devigny could have loved rock guitarist Noah St. John. Their friendship burned with the promise of intense passion and searing tenderness…until the night Noah deliberately shattered her heart.
Noah knows he destroyed something precious the night he chose to betray Kit, but he’d rather she hate him than learn his darkest secret. All he has left is his music. It’s his saving grace, but it doesn’t silence the voices that keep him up at night. Chasing oblivion through endless one-night-stands, he earns a few hours’ sleep and his bad boy reputation.
When a media error sees Noah and Kit dubbed the new “it” couple, Kit discovers her chance at the role of a lifetime hinges on riding the media wave. Wanting—needing—to give Kit this, even if he can’t give her everything, Noah agrees to play the adoring boyfriend. Only the illusion is suddenly too real, too painful, too beautiful…and it may be too late for the redemption of Noah St. John.
If You Wrong Us by Dawn Klehr
Becca and Johnny become entangled after a car crash steals the lives of two people they love. Officially, the crash is an accident. But Becca and Johnny are convinced: someone did this.
As they plot revenge against the person responsible, a bond—intense, unyielding, and manic—takes hold of them. And in an unexpected turn of events, they fall for each other.
Or so they think.
In an upside-down world where decay is beautiful and love and hate become one, Becca and Johnny find themselves grappling with reality. Nothing is exactly what it seems, including what they’ve come to believe about the crash. Question is: will they learn the truth before it’s too late?
No. The question is: when they learn the truth, will they care?
Edelweiss ARCs:
The Past by Tessa Hadley
These three weeks may be their last time there; the upkeep is prohibitive, and they may be forced to sell this beloved house filled with memories of their shared past (their mother took them there to live when she left their father). Yet beneath the idyllic pastoral surface, hidden passions, devastating secrets, and dangerous hostilities threaten to consume them.
Sophisticated and sleek, Roland’s new wife (his third) arouses his sisters’ jealousies and insecurities. Kasim, the twenty-year-old son of Alice’s ex-boyfriend, becomes enchanted with Molly, Roland’s sixteen-year-old daughter. Fran’s young children make an unsettling discovery in a dilapidated cottage in the woods that shatters their innocence. Passion erupts where it’s least expected, leveling the quiet self-possession of Harriet, the eldest sister.
Over the course of this summer holiday, the family’s stories and silences intertwine, small disturbances build into familial crises, and a way of life—bourgeois, literate, ritualized, Anglican—winds down to its inevitable end.

Oh, yes! Waterstones 🙂 I’ll be close to several Waterstones next week, as I’m going to London for three days with my husband – hopefully, I’ll have time for a little trip to the bookstore as well.

Thanks, Jessica 🙂 Enjoy your weekend.
I’ve been trying to stay away from Nalini Singh’s new series. I’m way behind on her other two series and need to catch up on them first before I take the plunge. 🙂
Nice haul! Great books!!
Yeah, and Nalini Singh is the QUEEN! I love her writing, the characters are always interesting, too. Maybe, once you catch up with the two series you’ve already started, this series will be finished 😀
Thanks for stopping by, Stacey.

I have to say that The Past sounds really REALLY out there. When they find the truth, will they care? Um, okay, I have to admit, that did spark my interest a little.
Rock Redemption sounds good, hope you enjoy and have a great upcoming week.
Great haul! They’re all new to me, but I hope you love them! I can’t wait to start Nalini Singh’s books!
I got two new books this week, one short and steamy adult book that I already finished and a MG book about dragons which sounds fun!
If You Wrong Us sounds intriguing! I hope it’s good. And I like the cover for The Past with those green letter on the black background.
Not as big a haul this week…you were so busy reading you didn’t have time for one-clicking?!? 😉 All the books sound interesting. I will eventually listen to Singh’s Rock Kiss series. But I’m addicted to the Seven series!! I’m starting Four Days today. 🙂 **BIG HUGS**
Oooh… I hope you enjoy Rock Redemption. I still have to read the second book.
