Review: Supernatural Freak – Louisa Klein

*I received a free ARC of Supernatural Freak directly from the author in exchange of an honest review* Supernatural Freak features Robyn, who can see auras, speaks Faery fluently, and works in a paranormal company to help others with their problems, while her own supernatural problems seem to pile up. The reader is brought into Robyn’s London and her supernatural problems from the first sentence, and the story continues in a frantic speed from then on. Review: Twice Tempted (Night Prince #2) – Jeaniene Frost

Review: Twice Tempted (Night Prince #2) – Jeaniene Frost

Twice Tempted is book #2 in the Night Prince series, and it continues showing how complex Vlad is, and what Leila needs to be happy living in his castle. I love how controlling Vlad has always seemed to me, yet with Leila there is something more soft and caring about him. But there are some concessions he won’t make though – saying ‘I love you’ is one of them. Showing the difference between Leila and Vlad based on their life experience, and Leila doesn’t have her powers anymore at the beginning of Twice Tempted, and it seems to her that since she lost her powers, Vlad has lost interest in her. She is sad, and doesn’t know what to do […]

Review: Impulse (Mageri #3) – Dannika Dark

Review: Impulse (Mageri #3) – Dannika Dark

Impulse is a very apt name for the third book in the Mageri series! We get to know more about Silver, her birth, her childhood, and why she is sometimes not doing what her impulse is telling her to do! We also get to know a lot more about Justus and his own brand of impulse control. It was amazing to get more back-story on Justus, it explains so much about the way he treats Silver, and also the way he treats the women he’s with. There is also a lot of action in Impulse, both with fights and with the budding romantic relationship between Logan and Silver. I sure have a soft spot for Logan! I know I would […]

Review: The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2) – Julie Kagawa

*I received a free ARC of The Eternity Cure from Harelquin Teen via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* The Eternity Cure starts a few months after the end of The Immortal Rules, and Allie is on a mission! She wants to make sure she can save Kanin from Sarrin’s death-grip, and follows his blood call on a whild chase through places where she’s never been before. All alone, and learning how to take care of herself, and what kind of monster she wants to be, she travels at night. Allie asks the right questions, and gets what she needs from the people who wouldn’t mind hurting her – if she was a human girl – and she’s not […]

Review: House Rules (Chicagoland Vampires #7) – Chloe Neill

House Rules picks up soon after the ending of Biting Cold. The pacing is fast and furious, and Merit has to fight practically on all sides in this one. Review: Fury’s Kiss (Dorina Basarb #3) – Karen Chance

Review: Fury’s Kiss (Dorina Basarb #3) – Karen Chance

Fury’s Kiss is the third book in the Dorina Basarb series, and I have to say I’m very happy Dorina is back! She is one of those strong heroines, who can fight with the best of them, but who is still vulnerable enough to hug her best friend and be coddled when she’s feeling sad about something. She is also a no-nonsense woman, she knows what she wants, what she doesn’t want – and does her best to get her way – no matter who she’s up against.   Subscribe to Blog via Email Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email. Review: Bitter Blood (The Morganville Vampires #13) – Rachel Caine

Review: Bitter Blood (The Morganville Vampires #13) – Rachel Caine

Bitter Blood is the perfect continuation of The Morganville Vampires series. Claire is such a great heroine; she is smart, tough, courageous, loving and never gives up. Her friends are her new family, and it is quite a new adventure they are all facing in this story. Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires #6) – Chloe Neill

Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires #6) – Chloe Neill

This review contains spoilers from books 4 and 5 in the series, so if you haven’t read those yet, you should probably stop reading right now… Biting Cold is about redemption. For Mallory, for Ethan, for Merit and for Seth. I had a little trouble getting into the world of Chicagoland again, after having been quite disappointed with the two prior books. I was devastated at the end of book 4, when Ethan died. And I was not happy with the way he was brought back from the dead at the end of book 5. Biting Cold started with Ethan and Merit chasing after the Maleficius, and a fight with Seth on the way to were it was hidden. The […]

Review: The Shifting Price of Prey (Spellcrackers.com #4) – Suzanne McLeod

Review: The Shifting Price of Prey (Spellcrackers.com #4) – Suzanne McLeod

*I received a free ARC from the author in exchange of an honest review of this book* The Shifting Price of Prey picked up a few months after the end of The Bitter Seed of Magic, and Genny is herself – business as usual. There is a lot of humor in this book, and I love the laugh-out-loud moments it helped me have 🙂 even if it’s sometimes a little weird trying to explain to people why I’m laughing when I’m sitting with my kindle… Subscribe to Blog via Email Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email.
