Review ~ I Dare You ~ Ilsa Madden-Mills

Review ~ I Dare You ~ Ilsa Madden-Mills

I Dare You… No, really.  I dare you to read this book and not laugh, cry, growl, and swoon! Yep, Maverick and Delaney were that awesome! There was snarky, flirty banter, serious chemistry, a fabulous secondary cast, and food! Yeah, I had a lot of fun with my first read from Isla Madden-Mills. Highlights: Delaney I loved everything about her! Her style, her nerdiness, her love of Han Solo, and her culinary skills all made for a heroine to cheer for! Oh, and that seh was reserved unless *dared* to do something was even more endearing. Maverick Oh my! This hulk of a guy definitely had an ego to match his body size. But finding out there was so much […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ High Tide ~ Michelle Mankin

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ High Tide ~ Michelle Mankin

Oh my! High Tide was akin to a roller coaster ride. It started kinda slowly, making its way around those warm-up curves and dips. Things changed once we hit that big hill, building tension and anxiety. Once we went over? Well all I can say is you better hang on! There is so much I want to say about High Tide but can’t because it would spoil the story. And this is one to be experienced, I think. It definitely is a story to be experienced, and it’s going to be hard to chat about this one and still keep everyone reading our review from being spoiled… but we’ll manage, I’m sure 😉  As I said, things started off a […]

Review: Praying For Rain – BB Easton

Review: Praying For Rain – BB Easton

Praying For Rain was very intense. And it sure doesn’t fit into a neat little genre box, either. I was stuck with my kindle, not even able to go for a bathroom break while reading. Story and Characters: I’m not sure how BB Easton pulled off Praying for Rain, but she sure did! This apocalyptic, New Adult kind of romance, but not blew my mind. So different from her other books, I was awed from start to finish. Rain and Wes had been dealt a pretty shitty hand – Wes since he was born, Rain at least for the past year. And with the apocalypse approaching on fast hooves, not much for them to do to stay alive. In a […]

Review ~ At Any Price ~ Brenna Aubrey #RAREParis

Review ~ At Any Price ~ Brenna Aubrey #RAREParis

At Any Price took on a trope that’s not a favorite of mine – a girl selling her virginity – but put an interesting spin on it. Then BAubrey created a cast of characters I enjoyed and invested in as well as delivered a story with a romance that was entertaining. Mia is a student, hoping to go to medical school, but needing some extra funding. To make ends meet, she works at a hospital but she’s also a blogger. She reviews games – one game in particular – on her blog and makes money from ads. So in her spare time, she’s a gamer. I liked Mia although she frustrated me at times. She’s a girl who lives by […]

Review: The Risk – Elle Kennedy

Review: The Risk – Elle Kennedy

The Risk was delicious! Reluctant romance is just so sweet – because the buildup makes everything so good. I loved Brenna and Jake – they just kind of clicked. Even if Brenna didn’t want to click with him. At all. I can’t even begin to say how happy I was when I learned that The Risk was going to be Brenna’s and Jake’s story! Especially because they were going to ‘enemy’ schools when it came to ice hockey. With Jake being Harvard’s star player, and Brenna coach Jensen of Briar’s daughter, I just knew there would be some secrecy and slight drama. And it was so delicious! Brenna had this dream of being a sports commentator, and had applied for […]

Blogger Wife Chat Release Day Review ~ Hidden Powers ~ Tara Lain @TaraLain @ViviannaIzzo

Blogger Wife Chat Release Day Review ~ Hidden Powers ~ Tara Lain @TaraLain @ViviannaIzzo

Hidden Powers wasn’t exactly was I was expecting since I didn’t realize it was YA/NA, but TLain exceeded any other expectations I had by taking on another facet of PNR – younger characters. The result was exciting, entertaining, and suspenseful! I didn’t realize that either, but I really loved that it was! Plus, it was nice to see some familiar characters from the Harker pack! First things first, wifey… This is the start of a new series yet it’s a spinoff of TLain’s Harker series. I haven’t read that series and while I did realize these characters had already been introduced but I never felt lost. And it certainly didn’t take away from my enjoyment of Hidden Powers. I believe […]

Review: The Ocean Between Us – Michelle Heard

Review: The Ocean Between Us – Michelle Heard

The Ocean Between Us dealt with quite a few very dark themes, and some of the things that happened made me cry with both sadness and anger. However, there was so much sweet to counteract the bad! Story: The Ocean Between us started with showing me that Emma had the childhood from hell! With a mother who abused her, both verbally and physically, she felt trapped. In a life she didn’t want. In a house where she wasn’t welcome. And in her mind, where she had started to believe everything her mom told her she was or wasn’t. Until one day she packed her bags and left South Africa for the US. Aiden was one of those characters that seemed […]

Review: The Chase – Elle Kennedy

Review: The Chase – Elle Kennedy

The Chase was so good! My emotions were totally involved from the start, and I have to say that Fitz and Summer were the perfect couple. The introvert with the shining star made me all hot and bothered – plus they made me laugh. Story: We got a little glimpse of Summer and Fitz in Kennedy’s last Off Campus novel, and I was so excited for The Chase. My excitement was completely warranted, too, and right now, all I want to do is squee with happiness. I loved this first foray into the new series, because the characters were so refreshing. I loved how Summer tried to better herself. After struggling with dyslexia her whole life, coming to a new […]

Review: Nikan Rebuilt – Scarlett Cole

Nikan Rebuilt brought out all the feels. I cried a little. And I laughed quite a lot. I swooned more than once, too. Review: Remember When – T. Torrest

Review: Remember When – T. Torrest

I just loved Remember When! it was almost like time capsule for me in many ways, even if I was across the ocean, many things, like the parties and the friendships were so similar. (un)conventionally short: Who hasn’t wondered what happened with the one who got away? And what if he has become famous since way back when? Remember When touched on both of these subjects, and it was a different kind of second chance at love story, too. Torrest managed to bring me straight back to the 90s, and I think that helped me feel so connected to Layla and Trip. Part of Remember When is the 90s, when Layla and Trip first met. Then, there is a separation […]
