I’m rather enamored of all things Pride & Prejudice so when I saw Pride and Prometheus on the library shelf, I couldn’t resist. I’m happy I didn’t pass it up. Pride and Prometheus, a mashup of Pride & Prejudice and Frankenstein, was engaging and thought-provoking, and I felt JKessel served both classics honorably. Pride and Prometheus places our story following the end of Pride & Prejudice but during Frankenstein, and has a very gothic feel. A Fall of Water was the perfect ending to B & Gio’s story, as well as the Elemental Mysteries series. EHunter brought things to a very satisfying conclusion without it being trite. OH. MY. GOODNESS. EHunter continues to hold me captive with this series. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like this series keeps getting better. I was so eager to crack open this book but I could never have prepared for all it contained. Gah! So intense! The Force of Wind kept me riveted with this installment. I was alternately biting my nails, tearing up, and swooning. The Force of Wind puts the romance between B and Gio on the back burner in favor of lots of action. Wowza! The Blood King was fantastic! Ladon and Skylar’s story was action-packed! There were lots of dragon battles as well as battles of will and battles of the heart. These two were absolutely fated for each other but both were too stubborn to recognize the signs. Once they did, they were too stubborn to want to give in. Pumpkin with the perfect amount of pumpkin spice. If you like pumpkin AND beer, give this one a try.
